Oh really? What a load of horseshit. Regardless of who says it, the media organs are truly "fake news" and treasonous enemies of the people.

Trump's between a rock and a hard place. I do not agree with what he has done here, but if he wants a second term, he may be compelled by that desire and the practicalities it requires. Let us never lose sight of how filthy a game this is. If Ron Paul were now in the white house, he would be faced with the same dilemma. If he did his usual sticking to the pure principle, he would not see a second term because far too many Americans are far too corrupted to act and think with even a modicum of basic sense.

Amash is a huge disappointment. Gutless weasel, so far as my limited knowledge would indicate. He talked a game and seems to have failed to walk a word of it, especially when the going got a little less than a cake walk. Boo hiss.

Absolutely! Isaiah 54:17 - KJV “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Romans 8:31 - KJV 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

So my RN sister went to work in NY because they were going to give her almost a year's pay to do a 3 month contract. (Also, she said the southern VA hospitals don't have their shit together even as much as they do in NY, and so she didn't want to be around there if it happens...) I talked to her for over an hour about what's going on there. The greater NYC area is apparently really a lot worse off than events in your particular town might lead you to believe. IOW the fact that it's not a huge problem down the street from you is not an indicator of the seriousness of the issue. They are apparently converting entire wards right now. All elective surgeries and even some surgeries that are necessary are being postponed. However, it is still affecting mainly older people and particularly those with complications. She says they have almost no child cases - they seem to get it and roll out of it without a problem. She also said it's hitting the Hispanic communities really hard. She said this is likely because they tend to be living in more cramped conditions, and they also have a much more close-knit community.

The numbers of what are not accurate? Deaths? We know the number of deaths are pretty accurate, and we know the number of confirmed cases are pretty accurate to what cases have been confirmed. What we don't know is how many actual cases there are because people with less symptoms or no symptoms aren't being tested. If this number is anywhere close to the flu, then this is much less deadly. If more people are being tested who are getting it than the flu, despite the fact that testing is not very available widespread, then it may be close to the same or a little higher.

Course, nobody is going to do a fucking thing about it. In 1775 citizen-rebels in Boston went to war against the most powerful military machine on the face of the earth, for violations of their natural rights equaling not one tenth of this current tyranny, while in the middle of a much more deadly smallpox plague. And won. If we were one tenth the men they were, this would end. But we are not, myself included.

Ya I dunno if it would have been all that bad. There are plenty of places with very few problems. Utah has like 100+ known cases and 4 deaths, is it worth shutting down their economy for that? Do we shut down the economy every time there is some type of new virus?

It's horrible for a tiny percentage of the population.. if the fatality rate is half that of the flu, then it is not worth shutting down the economy unless people do it voluntarily through education and personal decisions. For the most part this is destructive.. but it is going to end up in the destruction of the deep state which is anti-destructive so I'm just playing along.

I haven't seen any evidence that the fatality rate is more than .05%, which is about half the rate of the flu. I admit it could be higher, and it could be higher than the flu. I just haven't seen any evidence, and so far the numbers point to something like that.. but we really won't know until they have an antibody test so they can test to see what % of the population actually caught it and may have shown mild or no symptoms, then compare that with the number of deaths.

There's been lots of hand-wringing about the national debt, not without basis so long as we play the game by Theire rules. Departing from the rules, I see two ways of paying the national debt down in minutes. The first method is the less viable method from the standpoint of anyone actually accepting it as doable. The mint can mint coins in any denomination it chooses. Mint $10 billion coins and distribute to all creditors. Done. The better method, the one that would provide long-term economic stability in financial terms, would be to peg every dollar in circulation to the US gold store. It doesn't matter how many dollars are outstanding in the global economy and it doesn't matter how much gold. You peg that number of dollars to that amount of gold and that number of dollars never grows. That would de-ball the Fed in a moment and in perpetuity so long as we stuck to the arrangement. It would stabilize the economy and keep the spendthrifts on very short leashes. Neither will happen, but it's nice to think on such things.

Ya I am sure it doesn't help, but I don't think that the negative impact of shutting down the economy offsets the benefits - except possibly in areas where there may be more serious problems. I don't know if we have seen that yet in this country, though. Since it is an unknown I can see why people might want to take a more cautious approach, but it's looking like with medications and everything we will have this well under control.

I am not really so concerned with his health. I want to know 1. Has he actually gotten sick 2. If so, how bad was it To be clear, there is a potential case here of someone who actually does meet the high risk criteria, not even getting sick. If that's the case then the models everyone is using are crap, because it means the number infected is likely way in excess of what is being reported. That would mean the fatality rate is also a fraction of what is being reported.
