Steel, aluminum and glass, those are the only net energy savers. IF, and this is mighty big if, IF you use them on site, or in close proximity to where the final product is being made. But once you truck it to a facility, process it, truck it again to a port, ship it on a massive ship to other side of the world, handle it and truck it again to a process facility, THEN truck it and handle it yet again as a finished product, back to the port, back around the world again, and handle it and truck it yet again, by now any gain is long gone.

Trump: Dazed and Confused … Trump’s ignorance and incompetence has allowed the elite to subvert and take control of his administration. Trump is surrounded by insiders, most notably neocons who opposed him during the election. Trump’s inability to control his administration was more than obvious when the arch neocon Elliot Abrams, who vocally opposed candidate Trump, was selected to be the point man on the destruction of Venezuela. Considering Trump’s thin skin, the demands of his ego, and his willingness to fire those who either criticize his rule, it is unlikely he will ever be able to wrest control of his administration away from the insiders and neocons. The spectacle of neocons running rampant in his administration demonstrates that this president is not in control—the ruling elite and its cross-pollinated neocons and “humanitarian interventionists” are.

AZJoe replied to a thread Target: Iran in World News & Affairs
Iran Outflanks Neocon Washington in Iraq and Beyond Iran has successfully navigated the first phase of its resistance to U.S. sanctions pressure. The U.S. State Department has admitted it’s goal of reducing Iran’s oil exports to zero is not feasible. The goal now is a 25% drop … The U.S. will not stop until all avenues have been exhausted or Trump fires his current cabinet . … Iran is finding friends in other places. They are currently finalizing a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) with Belarus leading the talks at the 15th meeting between their Joint Economic Committee. … if it survives the initial onslaught then market forces open up opportunities for change. Things like INSTEX, the EU special purpose vehicle for getting around U.S. sanctions, is a perfect example. Bilateral trade outside of the U.S. dollar is another. … The completion of the North South Transport Corridor (NSTC) is also helping. For example, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran rose more than 70% last year. … “In 2018, trade between the two countries increased by 74 percent. Azerbaijan hasn’t had such a boost in trade with any other country.” …

Pentagon Keeps Adding Forces The U.S. retreat from northeast Syria is still not happening. … the Pentagon is doing the opposite … The few hundred ISIS fighters still alive could be killed in a day or two which would then be the right time for the U.S. to leave as President Trump announced ago. But the U.S. military keeps increasing its troop numbers and supplies in the area. the number of U.S. soldiers in northeast Syria rose by nearly 50%. Instead of the officially acknowledged 2,000 there are now at least 3,000 U.S. soldiers in northeast Syria. New weapons and equipment arrive every day. Additionally, the Syrian Observatory reports, the U.S. is bringing in a significant number of TOW anti-tank missiles and heavy machine guns even though there is no longer an apparent use for these … the New York Times finally confirms the increased troop numbers … :The American military has started withdrawing some equipment, but not yet troops, officials said on Sunday. The number of American troops in Syria has actually increased in recent weeks to more than 3,000 — a standard practice to bring in additional security and logistics troops temporarily to help protect and carry out the process of pulling out — three Defense Department officials said.

Sadly I do agree with you about Putin. His people love him mostly. Russia is not what I would call a Free Country. What we can do is try to observe them as objectively as possible and see whether or not we see the outcome as being either "good" or "bad" for what we have here. What worries me is that we have become almost just as Statist, maybe not in our form of government, but definitely in our Application and Culture. All these damn Snowflakes claiming "should not have a right to hurt my feelings", like the ass mongers that get all butt hurt when they cross dress and the person talking to them literally does not know wheter to call them Sir or Ma'am or whatever their bullshit words are to describe in between.

Raisins too! Lot of stuff they cant eat because its VERY toxic. One big thing to watch out for... oddly is GUM! A common sweetener in these sugar free gums is called Xylotol, and it WILL put a dog into seizures. Lot of people do not know that.

Yesterday, 09:04 PM Well, its Russia. But make no mistake the way they are going is the SAME way as WE are going. But what is important is that controlling the flow of information is the primary reason we need the First Amendment. Its there to protect the Right of people to express the Controversial things, not the things everyone doesnt give a shit about.

When the founding fathers actively engaged in rebellion against their rightfully ordained civil authorities, they established that a foundational principle in the United States would be altering or abolishing civil authority at will. This is a land where disrespect for authorities is a given, and even codified. If I respect civil authorities here I am disrespecting the primal authority by which they got into power.

This is what was said about those 200: Anyway. Your article was from the beginning of the walk-back of the withdrawal. This is how it goes with the Trump administration: Trump says something. Sanders walks it back a little but then flees from reporters before answering any of their questions. Thus, "other officials" have to explain that what she said was actually bullshit and doesn't at all describe what actually happened. Several weeks later, Trump admits that what the "other officials" said is true, but acts as if it's not news and everyone's known it all along.

There's an interesting graph halfway down this page showing how the Federal Reserve and inflation are disproportionally slamming the poor, titled "Change in minimum wage vs. top incomes". Dollar devaluation creates wage cuts, but not for everyone. But you don't hear about gold as money being good for the poor, do you?

They only ever hated on McCain long enough to secure him the 2008 GOP nomination, because they know Republicans won't hand the candidacy to anyone the Liberal Media speaks kindly about. Remember Mitt Romney's dog? Remember Dubya? Old enough to remember this?

This link proves that talk about the Roaring Twenties is pure propaganda, and wealth concentration was indeed at its peak between the robber baron era and the Wilson Socialism era. Not during the libertarian 1920s. Central planners have never increased small business (come on, how could it?) and small business has always driven equitable wealth distribution, and a healthy economy. If you want people to be wealthy, set them free. I hope you do, because Cortez won't.

I can't link this part of that article, which I did link. I can link to any number of sites that can help you out with who was president in 1916, and what he and Edward House were up to. I can also provide links to inform you who was president from early in 1929, during the crucial period when things went awry, if you need the help, and proof that he was the most progressive guy in the GOP at the time.

"Rampant corruption" is an interesting way to describe Stalin "culling" tens of millions of human beings. "Capitalism" is also an interesting way to describe the highly centralized tax-and-spend policies of Tsar Nicholas II.

No, of course he doesn't. But for once, he has a point. Actually, the concentration peaked in 1916, when Woodrow Wilson was experimenting with socialism and within two years of nationalizing the railroads. That concentration fell in the 1920s until Hoover took over, then it shot back up.
