One thing I've noticed in about every one of these vids I've seen is the total lack of any attempt to defend themselves or fight back on the part of the victims. It seems like most of the time they just attempt to back away, go straight down, curl up and take it. Also, the attackers usually come in flailing about like a 3 year old throwing a tantrum, not exactly MMA fighters moving in for the kill. A heel palm to the nose, jab to the throat, thumb to the eye or even a good old fashioned kick in the nuts might be enough to end a lot of these scuffles if the victims would just stand up for themselves. In my experience, nothing ends these things quicker than the attacker winding up in a bloody heap on the floor, preferably with a couple of his buddies going with him. Or maybe I'm just behind the times. Just seems to me to be yet another manifestation of the results of vilifying even the knowledge of self-defense.
