The aquatic ape theory holds that the nose gives an evolutionary advantage allowing us to go underwater/dive down. Most of the apes, chimps can't. It has to do with the unique U-shape in our nasal passage. The few other monkeys/apes that go in the water also have differently shaped noses.

I'm on the fence as far as that is concerned, but for the time being I'm going to side with Randal who has obviously researched it more than myself and feels that it does not overwrite law. He clearly says that in a number of interviews that, that he doesn't think the law being cited forbids these associations and in fact all restrictions were created in the administrative/executive branch and not congress.

While we are citing court cases, here are 2 that Randal is citing in his media interviews on the right to associate: I think there was another one, but haven't found the interview he referenced it in yet.

That sounds concerning; but according to Randal all those corporate and erisa policies were already doing this. And the EO simply makes it possible for independent associations to do the same thing.

No idea what she is talking about. My guess is that most people probably have no idea what the EO says (i found it more that trivial to find the actual text) much less how EO are implemented and what the impacts will be. I read the whole thing, said nothing about the drug cost or any other details. As far as medical cost tax deductions, I deducted 20k expense last year, I can see how it would hurt me if I was I was getting huge procedures done on a regular basis, but if I was doing 20k plus in out of pocket medical every year, I am seriously wondering if I would be healthy enough to pull in enough income to get taxed in the first place. I'd rather have the annual ongoing lower tax thanks to double standard deduction that I can sock away into my expanded HSA and plan for future medical out of pocket, then get bled dry even tho I'm healthy and on the off chance I want a partially subsidized dental or vision procedure.

won't even try to explain to her that the EO doesn't have any teeth yet and this increase is still based on the law as is. I was seriously trying to help her and her daughter organize some fund raising regardless of the bullshit laws.

Toyota has had plenty of subsidy help with their alternate-fueled vehicles. Just a couple quick examples found in no time:

is that a fucking irrelevant poll? He ran on building a wall. That is what he said he would do. Texans elected him as president to build his wall. Trump will try to do what he says he will do, not what some fucking poll says he will do. The votes that put him in charge are actual votes from actual individuals. Not some extrapolated meaningless opinion numbers. Your statement fails on it's face because it doesn't even address what I said to begin with, much less because the supporting "facts" are just more unsubstantiated opinions that didn't materialize when it mattered. Real people want to put an end to unmitigated border crossings by criminals. Trump proposed a wall, Trump's proposal was considered by the people of Texas and more people in Texas came out and said do it than came out and said don't do it. I personally don't want a fucking wall either, but the guy said we'd get one if we voted him, and I like the fact that he will do what he says regardless of some useless opinion poll.

haha, they are definitely outraged. Right now their minds are fertile soil to inject some common sense. Once their emotions lighten up, they will need an anchor since their entire paradigm is being shredded. I hope the other side gets a similar dose real soon. I still feel like most of this is possible thanks to the RPR. The soil is being turned, perfect time to go planting the seeds and ideas of liberty in folks' minds.

I think Trump understands that as a representative in a representative form of government, his personal opinions take a back seat to the people who put him in charge. Nothing wrong with that at all. I'd be more than happy to vote for a person I disagreed with 100% of personal opinions if I could know that person had the ability to set aside their opinion and do the job they were put in place to do.

I know this person and all of her friends too. I know she has legit needs for her daughter. I was just floored that she hates Trump so much that she would turn down help from her friends, or at least have this attitude like she or anyone else that might need help is in need of charity like its some sort of social stigma. What the hell is the mindset that says it is a "slap in the face" to accept your voluntary help, but I will damn sure send the government to steal it from you? My jaw dropped to hear this argument. Yes totally emotional to the point of shooting herself or any of her friends that aren't as well off as her in the damn face.

Damn that's a harsh fuck you. I remember when Obamacare completely priced me out of insurance as an independent contractor, forcing me to decide between paying 100pct out of pocket for any medical needs. I was lucky at the time that life didn't give me a big ole fuck you. I'm still lucky that I can work at a company that pays 100pct of my premium. I'm going to the doc now finally but those bills are still ridiculously high. Who is paying the bill? Sorry but Obamacare was not the answer. Someone is gonna get fucked either way. No point in being hateful to each other over it. Its a government failure and government obviously is not the answer to problems the government creates. That said, I can help you set up a go fund me on a regular basis and contribute as a friend to help with ins. Part of the EO is allowing private individuals to join a pool for lower rates. Might be worth looking into. Also can buy ins across state lines I believe. This should create more competitive ins. Pricing. Wow OK, so you dont see the difference between forcing me to pay for your health care needs and me offering to do so voluntarily? You'd rather have the government take the money and give it to you than ask for it yourself so you don't have to feel like a charity case? That's strange to me to be honest. I'm sincerely willing to help where I can but expecting the government to subsidize your healthcare when you can't afford it is also a form of charity, except the contributors may not be doing so voluntarily. I can see why the system is a failure if there truly is no middle ground.

the timing is great with the EO signed yesterday that will open up the markets outside the exchange. so there should be new less expensive options for people to move to once the subsidies stop.
