I think this forum for liberty candidates should hold liberty candidates accountable. I was there for Rand's first campaign when he literally said paraphrasing "give me 2 terms to drain the swamp and at the end I'll leave office". Then after endorsing Mitch McConnell again and again, Rand runs for a third term. It's clear to me Rand has changed, he has settled into the swamp and likes it there, he'll probably be 80+ like McConnell before he leaves. Instead, he could have left office and passed the torch to a new liberty candidate. Rand plays the swamp endorsement game too. But go on and make excuses for him. Threads like this talking about Trump all day every day while ignoring the liberty candidates we helped elect and making excuses for them is hypocrisy. And calling out the hypocrisy is not "irrational Trump love".

We could have a thread on their terrible endorsements. I'm sure Ron endorses Lee and his son. Remember when Lee and Rand lied to us and campaigned on term limits, then decided they love the swamp and will stay in office forever. Boo hoo, Trump didn't endorse my preferred candidate that has no chance of winning, I'm gonna start a thread calling everyone else swamp candidates ...

You don't even know what the swamp is man. Hung Cao has never held public office, is a refugee from Vietnam, and dedicated his life to the Navy, retired in 2021. Meanwhile, according to you I guess, the "non-swamp" candidate endorsed by Lee and Cruz, Scott Parkinson proudly declares in his opening bio that he has worked in DC for over 16 years as a Senate staffer turned lobbyist. Scott is the swamp, a political creature that knows some closet skeletons so he can call in some favors to get elected and stay in power. Just keep reposting bullshit and never back up anything with a rational explanation of why a candidate is good or bad.

Yeah no chance this "reporter" told them he was with CNN. Then the "host" interviews the "reporter" to hype up the fear factor. Garbage all around.

So ridiculous and flawed. Neither of those things happened during his presidency. And he mentioned red flag laws one time, got criticized for it, people like Rand and Cruz were able to talk to him about it, and he never mentioned it again. Meanwhile Biden actively campaigns on those things.

A few key points. 1. You don't need a bump stock in order to bump fire, it's an irrelevant accessory, and thus an irrelevant "ban". 2. This was predicted to be overturned by a select few very smart, non TDS forum members. 3. At that time in 2017, many spineless Republicans were ready to join with Democrats to pass more gun control. The administrative bump stock ban gave them cover to let it blow over and not pass new gun control legislation. 4. This case now further establishes precedent against further administrative overreach.

Put another way, if it ever comes to revolution, or "1776 will commence again" against tyranny. Who do you want to join arms with? Strength in numbers right? A loony liberal that never touched a gun, is against all guns and didn't want you to have any guns? Or maybe that same person could have had 12 months of training with guns and they learn more about them and realize their importance.

Look i get it, Libertarians object to any collectivisms. A Libertarian would see his neighbor's house on fire, and object to paying taxes for the Firefighters to come save the neighbor. Then when his own house is on fire, he would run into the street in a panic, and no one would come help him. I don't want to live in a world like that. I want community and people helping each other. Churches helped facilitate community in the past, but these days, only about 20% of people regularly attend church. A service obligation doesn't have to mean military, it could be 12 months of community service, there could be options. It's an interesting idea, and of course it will never work in this country, but as a thought experiment I think it could help with many of the trends we are seeing that result in the downfall of nations. The US constitution is our nation and has helped secure our liberties. Collectivism to preserve our constitution and our liberties is necessary.

South Korea has compulsory service, 18 months and you are done. It applies to everyone age 18-30, even the most popular kpop group BTS wasn't exempted. It seems to help their society. Look at ours and the youth of today. A majority of Americans, terminally obese land whales, need an 18 month boot camp. Everyone on this forum would be too old for it, so it's not like you're getting conscripted. We're too far gone as a country to implement something like that for sure. Maybe after WWIII.

up to 25 years prison for a mistake on a government form? Seems excessive just a wee bit. Why exactly is drug use relevant to our second amendment rights? He should go to jail for multiple other things, but this seems like it can be overturned on appeal.

I dunno how this idea came about. We should be ending tipping culture, it's ridiculous and a failure for most workers. Regardless, tips are income obtained thru employment, so why should they get special exemption?

Constitutional conservative?? Bob Good supports the drug war 100%. Why is Rand endorsing a drug warrior? When do we hold Rand accountable for his terrible endorsements?

How about you tell me how a Liberty forum promotes drug warrior Bob Good for freedom Caucus chairman when he voted against marijuana decriminalization and is 100% for keeping it illegal and severely punished. Or how libertarians can support Ron Paul when he is a Republican and voted yes for the war in Afghanistan. I already know the answer and I'll tell you, we have to take the good with the bad and keep making progress. Trump was progress, and you don't have to remind me of all the bad stuff he did in every thread. He was someone we could have influence with and work with to make things better in this country. That's not just my POV, practically every politician supported on this forum from the beginning feels the same way, only Amash went full TDS, everyone else endorses Trump.

It is a relevant thought experiment for that time frame. If you are referring to the current election, vote 3rd party if you wish, but no Boogeyman is needed, I know 100% I was more free, more prosperous, and more at peace under Trump than I have been under Biden.

I did honestly forget, ty. I'm not finding any reports on people killed in that strike either unless you have a reputable source, seems like the Syrians/Russians would have highlighted any casualties. My reasoning still stands, it's another example of Trump taking the most conservative military option that did not result in further conflict/war. What would Hillary have done?

TheCount was here in 2016 promoting the butcher of Libya, his favorite candidate, Hillary Clinton. Pay him no mind. That's another big W for Trump. Imagine if HRC was president during that time and what would happen in Syria and the world. Holy bejeezus... Thank you Trump!

It was 59 missiles, not a "few hundred". The syrians were warned ahead of time and abandoned the airbase and no one was killed or injured, and there hasn't been a chemical weapon attack since then. Thank you Trump! I also remember Sec Def Mattis wanted full scale war in syria and to overthrow the government. Trump said NO. Thank you Trump!

So you say Trump is swamp, yet Bob Good loves Trump and has endorsed his re-election, and was just in NYC professing loyalty to Trump. Doesn't that make Bob swamp too? Why would you want a Freedom Caucus Chairman that was literally begging for Trumps endorsement?

This isn't about the Freedom Caucus. Jordan, Boebert, Biggs, Donalds, Gosar, Roy, are all members of the Freedom Caucus and are in the good graces of Trump. This is simply due to Bob initially endorsed Desantis. It is that petty political game. It's not a swamp conspiracy like you suggested, there is no instructions to unseat. For all you know Jim Mcguire could join the Freedom Caucus if he wins election. They are running very similar policy platforms. Just admit it, you didn't care about this race or Bob until the endorsement snub.

Bob loves Trump yet many idiots here that hate Trump are in this thread saying we should love Bob. https://good.house.gov/media/press-releases/congressman-good-issues-official-statement-more-act

Noone has explained why Jim Maguire is bad or why Bob Good is better. Seems like no one on this forum cared about this primary or Bob until Trump didn't endorse him. But Bob has endorsed Trump and loves Trump, was recently in NYC to pledge his loyalty to Trump. If you like Bob and Bob loves Trump, do you love Trump?

Allow me. Rand endorsed McConnell and in kind McConnell endorsed Rand. Endorsements are a political game. You already hate Trump and don't want him to win so why do you care who he endorses? If Trump did endorse Bob Good you would probably call Bob an ass kisser maga loser. I don't see much history on John McGuire to call him a RINO and he only entered state politics in 2017, so how is he a part of the swamp??? He served 10 years as a Navy Seal which is commendable. If someone from Virginia has more info on him, do share. Likewise, Bob Good has been pretty close to Trump on all issues so do you hate him too? Or does this forum suddenly like him because Trump doesn't? Peak TDS.
