If you're not doing anything else, then that's on you. RPF is a place where like-minded people can gain fortitude and recharge their batteries in whatever fight they're fighting. We are fighting against the masses and each sacrifice makes us feel alone. RPF shows us that we are NOT alone in our beliefs. I suspect that VERY few of us are "sitting here on our asses". Pic tax:

I'll leave it to smarter people than me to explain the details of the scandal, but how was Bankman able to pull this off? His parents are both professors at Stanford Law School and are the preeminent compliance lawyers in the country. His mother was a law clerk under a Senior Judge of the US Court of Appeals. His dad went to Berkeley and Yale. His aunt is a leading epidemiologist at Columbia University. His brother traded on Wall Street before becoming the director of a non-profit, "Guardians Against Pandemics". All of them are well-connected and have given tons of money to politicians. They were marked "safe" from government oversight. If you were an investor interested in Crypto, but wanted assurances that your investments wouldn't be lost or seized, SBF seemed like the safest bet. But, it seems mister SBF was taking the investments and funneling millions to politicians, media and other left-wing groups. In return, SBF gave the investors crypto-tokens. They appeared to be an asset until people started to request their money back and the whole thing came crashing down.

Why is it okay for a bomb from Ukraine to land in Poland and kill 2 people but not okay for a bomb from Russia? Does Poland not mind being bombed?

Consider this. Vaccinate the USA. Huge percentage of healthy younger people die. Simultaneously let open borders get flooded with unvaccinated Latino's. USA majority becomes Latino.

Numbers. Hmm. Who are we kidding? If anyone thinks the masses are going to give up their gadgets and "conveniences" think again. Few will do that. Moving rural will only buy you time. Soon the rural population is labeled terrorists and what is yours becomes what was yours after appropriation. By the time people realize that they don't like it, it will be too late.

Man, I watched the police press briefing today on that Moscow thing. This one is different. 4 students stabbed to death while their roommates slept and no suspects as of yet. This is the type of thing that would have dominated the press 24/7 just a few years ago. But now, the media can't find how this fits their narrative. Interestingly, the first question asked of the panel from the locals, even before questions about the murder, was how long they can expect this police presence to last. Moscow, ID is out in the sticks.

FFS. These people have swallowed their own propaganda for so long, reality is meaningless to them. I'm seriously considering leaving the energy industry - the entire policy landscape is run by idiotic ideologues. I used to enjoy embarrassing them in front of their peers, but it's not even fun anymore. It's just a pointless endeavor where they say stupid shit, I call them out, they get red-faced, then try to better craft their messaging for next time. ETA: Did a little more thinking on this one. It's like speaking to a cult. How long does that sound like fun?

Ok, Zippy. I keep saying you don't need fraud when the process is rigged. You agreed that the process is rigged. And yet, you keep talking about fraud. Pointless to continue this.

So, I think you're a little out of your swimlane here. On the main line, most of the time is spent doing... nothing. When you come into a town, you blow the horn to signal crossings. When you come up to a switch in the wrong position, you throw it. But for the most part, you try to stay awake and keep your eyes on the track. One man crews are just as safe depending on who that man is. Having 2 people there is pretty unnecessary, except in relief of one another. Trust me - when their jobs are automated, these guys will look back on their complaints and wonder what the hell they were thinking. Rail automation on the main line is super easy technologically - it's the public perception that's hard.

I was a one-man crew. I actually preferred it that way. I carried something like this (although, they were much bigger 20 years ago) It allowed me to operate the engine from the ground while I was switching. Once the safety fatwas starting coming in, they made us have "positive head-end protection" meaning that you'd have to have at least 2 men. (or a long walk after each couple or switch!!) Some of the guys liked 2-man crews because they could stay in the warm engine all night - others, like me, hated it. Because you give up control to a guy who can't see what you're doing and may misinterpret signals.

As a former railroad worker, myself, I can relate. For awhile there, I worked 12 hours days/7days a week. At least that's how it was phrased... When you work 7 days a week, the weeks blend into each other. So, my longest stretch was 34 straight days. Then, 2 days off and back at it. But... I was making a ton of money! LOTS of blue collar jobs have similar requirements. If you're out on a ship, or climbing towers, or doing storm restoration, or drilling wells, or things like that, there are going to be personal struggles to get those checks. Thus is life. Not saying these folks shouldn't try to negotiate for more, but also recognize that they aren't unique. Men sacrifice a lot to provide for their families. Ultimately, it's a matter of what they value more.

It's ALWAYS rigged. It's just a matter of who does the rigging. Nice job deflecting - let's try again... Do you really think the results would have been the same if there was only election day voting requiring ID's and limited absentees? And try not to dodge, this time.

Way to repeat the narrative line! The better (and more accurate) way to say it is that the democrats cheated fair and square. Their cheating was better than the republicans.

I wish things were a lot more local too. I'm really not looking for a country of 300 million at all. I think that's too big. Those who didn't want to live by Christian law could live somewhere else and choose God's judgment over his blessings.

And while I do believe the BIble requires civil authorities to punish homosexuality, and with death as the maximum penalty, I don't think it would be legitimate even for the government to just round up people in a gay bar.

  8. Sorry, but you have failed. That verse does not contain the words "Grace is irresistible." You can interpret it that way, but that's not what the verse says. You had to admit there was "relational language" in the Bible. Yet you have stuck to your guns that there isn't a verse that says "Have a relationship with Jesus." Likewise there is no verse that says "Grace is irresistible." If you were honest you would simply admit that. But you aren't honest.

In the twilight of the Cold War, the United States spent millions of dollars to supply Afghan schoolchildren with textbooks filled with violent images and militant Islamic teachings, part of covert attempts to spur resistance to the Soviet occupation.
