The left has been on a "ban gerrymandering" push for months. They got a ton of signatures to put it to a voter referendum on this year's ballot. But it's the most dishonest, deceitful power grab I've seen in a while.
Rather than "banning" gerrymandering (which is something that can't be done anyway), it simply takes the drawing of district maps out of the hands of the representatives and puts it in the hands of an appointed, unelected bureaucracy. Is that better or worse?? That's not the question, plebe! Don't you want to "ban gerrymandering"!!
But here's the hilarious thing... The left, who obviously thinks they can use the panel to draw more favorable districts for them to move Ohio left, screwed up. You see, the state is already run by republicans. So, while they couldn't block the amendment from going on the ballot, they could, and did, create the language for the ballot language. Here's how it'll appear on the ballot:
The amount of money the left is spending on this to get people to vote yes should tell you something. But will they be able to overcome this ballot language??
