None of the incidents in your article qualify any definition of "mass shooting" that I'm aware of. None had 4 or more victims. https://crim.sas.upenn.edu/fact-check/what-mass-shooting-what-can-be-done In the United States, there are several different, but common, definitions of mass shootings. The Congressional Research Service defines mass shootings, as multiple, firearm, homicide incidents, involving 4 or more victims at one or more locations close to one another. The FBI definition is essentially the same. Often there is a distinction made between private and public mass shootings (e.g., a school, place of worship, or a business establishment). Mass shootings undertaken by foreign terrorists are not included, no matter how many people die or where the shooting occurs. These formulations are certainly workable, but the threshold of 4 or more deaths is arbitrary. There are also important exclusions. For example, if 10 people are shot but only 2 dies, the incident is not a mass shooting. Homicides by other means also are not counted. If 5 people are purposely run down and killed by an individual driving motor vehicle, the deaths do not count because a firearm is not involved. There also are inclusions that can seem curious because the motives of perpetrators are not considered when defining a mass shooting.

The post on a black Seventh-Day Adventist Facebook group. Sadly my Aunt passed away recently due to Covid, and she was actually vaccinated. She lived in a state that has a low vaccination rate and no indoor mask mandate. I believe the Delta variant is at high rates there as well. Another Aunt has a brother-in-law who was just intubated due to Covid. He was anti-vax and anti-mask. He will probably die too, as the survival rates once someone is intubated are low. This problem will only be solved when at least 90% of the population cooperates with the precautions. If you don’t want the vaccine, then wear a mask. Preferably an N95 which is best able to filter small particles like viruses. Avoid large gatherings and practice good hygiene to avoid the spread should you unknowingly contract and carry the virus. The instructions are very simple, but illogical thinking and rebelliousness have taken over, so here we are….. And my response?

The best activism is to use the exit. It always is. That's one of the reasons the free market works so well - it's easy to exit if you're not satisfied. Trying to get a school board to listen to protesters may work a little sometimes. I'm sure there'll be some wins there. But removing children is THE best thing anyone can do. We should make signs to picket along side these parents, "PULL YOUR KIDS OUT: They won't understand anything else." And then give them the information in those online resources. I wonder if there's any organizations that would help with that effort?

Man, the more I see this guy, the more I like him. I'm not necessarily a religious person, but it's great to see the value that his religious understanding is giving him. They're going to try to tear him down. They'll say he's promoting his book and apparel company. They'll demean his motivations. They'll dig into his past. And they'll make sure those ventures fail. He'll be lucky if they don't fabricate some scandal against him. He needs strength, but it looks like he has it. He just needs to keep it.

Due to nominal rigidity or "price stickiness", electric rates may stay low for longer. Because most electric distribution rates have to be "approved" by utility commissions, they have to build complicated rate cases to raise their rates. That doesn't hold true for all generators or utility co-ops, but it means it'll take awhile for inflation to hit that sector. Now, working in this industry, it concerns me because the costs of materials is rapidly rising and it is becoming harder and harder to get transformers, poles and wires... If major storms come through this winter and the ice damages the lines, utilities will have to operate at HUGE losses which will have to be worked into a future rate case. Not to mention that labor costs are going to skyrocket the next time the annual review process or union contracts come up. Those signs point to LONG restoration times, cuts in preventative maintenance, and political pressure to slash the utility return on equity. In other words, keep that wood burner handy - we're going to need them!

The need for a college education is all but dead now. Some engineering and science schools have cool labs that most people don't have at home, but the information that can be learned is pretty much free in today's internet. The only thing that colleges have left to sell are: The "experience", and The reputation of the degrees that they have to offer. The degree reputation has been waning for decades but still finds strong support on the left -- the ones that worship academia. Since that's their target audience, it makes sense that they'd tailor the "experience" to the left as well.

Who said ANYTHING about the strikes being vaccine related? Are you trying to change the thread subject again?? The government’s insane intervention (takeover) of the economy is doing this. And it’s escalating quickly with every new contract that is coming up. But yeah, vaccines.

and I thought the cops were the ones to be feared. Hmm. Maybe in the end those guys aren't so bad when compared to what is really taking place. What is really taking place? We are living in a magic show. Whatever we think we saw was an illusion. What we think he is doing he is not. It is all slight of hand. Mandatory vaccinations.... what is up his sleeve? It used to be said that history will record.... Who can say with any certainty how history will be recorded? We cannot even have honest journalism. 24/7 disinformation by those claiming what anyone else says is disinformation. There is too much influence and power behind the curtain. There is no such thing as do what you want but let me live out my days in peace. Getting back to cops. They were just the noticeable symptom. They were just carrying out what they were told. It goes much higher than cops. They are not even needed anymore.

Granted, I don't watch a lot of media, but are they being kinda silent on the current labor strikes going on?? Like every thing, you can find the stories, but why isn't it making it into the narratives? Or maybe it is and I'm missing it? But, Kellogg, John Deere, Kaiser Permanente, Film Crews, Hospital Workers... There are lots more on the way... Basically, any contract that is coming up is getting held up because of the various reactions to the government's Covid response/inflation/panic. Yet another unforeseen consequence of this insanity. But is the media narrative linking these all together for the purposes of implementing their Marxist paradise??

idk, could be a snitch, or just proactively building cases against his peers for when he gets accused of not being woke. We called it mutually assured destruction (MAD) in the 80s. The idea was that if someone nuked you, you could nuke them back. I can totally see kids adopting this idea for cancel culture. Not saying that's what he's doing or that it's "right," but it certainly worked for Hoover.

I wish things were a lot more local too. I'm really not looking for a country of 300 million at all. I think that's too big. Those who didn't want to live by Christian law could live somewhere else and choose God's judgment over his blessings.

And while I do believe the BIble requires civil authorities to punish homosexuality, and with death as the maximum penalty, I don't think it would be legitimate even for the government to just round up people in a gay bar.

  8. Sorry, but you have failed. That verse does not contain the words "Grace is irresistible." You can interpret it that way, but that's not what the verse says. You had to admit there was "relational language" in the Bible. Yet you have stuck to your guns that there isn't a verse that says "Have a relationship with Jesus." Likewise there is no verse that says "Grace is irresistible." If you were honest you would simply admit that. But you aren't honest.
