I not only use my feeble attempts at understanding (with prayer and study and contemplative meditation), but even greater (since I am a very fallible person), I seek the wisdom of the Saints since they are much more knowledgable about these things than I am. They are also much more knowledgable than you, even if you don't think so.

Exactly. We shall bear the likeness of the heavenly man, Who is Jesus Christ, the First-Fruits of the new creation. It was the same Body which Christ lived and preached and was crucified with, which was also the same Body which arose from the dead and ate with the disciples. The holes in His hands and feet and the wound in His chest were the wounds to the same body. Likewise, we will rise with the same body. We will be changed because our bodies (the same ones we were born with) will be divinized by the Grace of God. But it will still be the same body we were born with and lived with and did good or bad with which will be divinized.

Exactly. What is sown is perishable; it (THE SAME BODY) is raised imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it (THE SAME BODY) is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it (THE SAME BODY) is raised in power....

Ezekiel 37 New King James Version (NKJV) The Dry Bones Live 37 The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” 4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

You are misapplying that parable which describes the situation before the general resurrection. If you are denying the general resurrection, than you are teaching heresy.

Yes, God is the Judge. We can certainly call out a heresy when we one is being passed off as Christian teaching.

Wrong. The intellect (nous) is an attribute of the soul. Yes. The body does return to the earth and the spirit to God. That is, until the resurrection, when we will be raised in the same body. Yes, it will be transformed, spiritualized, transfigured, or whatever other term one wishes to use. But, it will be the same body we were born with and struggled with in this world.

People can believe whatever they wish. Does not mean it is Christian. Similar to how Mormons can call themselves Christians, but that does not make it so.

The OP didn’t mention the soul. It said we have two bodies, one material and one spiritual. It says that when we are resurrected, we will arise with a body that ‘looks’ like our material body, but is different. That is not Christian teaching. Christ arose with the same body He died with.

I wish things were a lot more local too. I'm really not looking for a country of 300 million at all. I think that's too big. Those who didn't want to live by Christian law could live somewhere else and choose God's judgment over his blessings.

And while I do believe the BIble requires civil authorities to punish homosexuality, and with death as the maximum penalty, I don't think it would be legitimate even for the government to just round up people in a gay bar.

My reasons on the bearing arms bit are much closer to yours (resistance against tyranny.)

  8. Sorry, but you have failed. That verse does not contain the words "Grace is irresistible." You can interpret it that way, but that's not what the verse says. You had to admit there was "relational language" in the Bible. Yet you have stuck to your guns that there isn't a verse that says "Have a relationship with Jesus." Likewise there is no verse that says "Grace is irresistible." If you were honest you would simply admit that. But you aren't honest.

    Acts 13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

In the twilight of the Cold War, the United States spent millions of dollars to supply Afghan schoolchildren with textbooks filled with violent images and militant Islamic teachings, part of covert attempts to spur resistance to the Soviet occupation.
