I think cable and network news are both dying. The future is on the internet. I'm not on X, but I guess lots of people get their news there now, and with community notes, there's a real time check. It's not perfect, but it's MUCH better.
You ask why people started listening now? Because long-form conversations tend to strip away the bullshit. And when the bullshit is gone, the ideals of liberty can thrive.
The interesting thing here, though, is that you have to continually use new tactics with the deep state, because they WILL adjust. They always do. But this new form of communication puts them in a real tight spot. Which IMO is why this election was unlike others in the past - it really did matter. Because had the machine's puppet taken over, they would have found reasons to ramp up the censorship regime.
