I think the best way for progressive/liberal Democrats to demonstrate the rejection of bias would be to vote Republican this year. Or are they biased against the GOP?

OMG! So a white ex-girlfriend tells a black man who he can't vote for because he's black? “He doesn’t want to pay 62 percent of taxes because he doesn’t want to go from 50 Cent to 20 Cent,” said Handler. “I had to remind him that he was a Black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump, and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook.”

Are you sure about that? Marilyn Monroe rumors didn't sink JFK. And this isn't about Joe, it's about his son. What could sink Joe is the money that H gave to "Mr. Big." But that's being suppressed too as "Russian disinfo."

Biden has no security clearance; is clearly mentally unfit for public office; and has been exposed as having committed perjury, money laundering, extortion, and abuse of public office; and Harris is not a U.S. Citizen. Their candidacy is a fraudulent shameful shame.

That's what I did in 2016. Believe it or not (and should be pretty believable around here), Trump was the first president that I voted for that actually won. But my vote didn't help. Virginia is now blue. A neighbor mentioned that there were a couple of referendums on this ballot. If so, I may show up to vote for those and if I do that, I'll certainly vote for Trump's electors. But Virginia looks to be one of those "lost cause" states mentioned in the other thread. :(

Completely true on FedGov. But state/local are hit and miss. California and Mass are just as much a lost cause as FedGov (undoubtedly others too). Even in "good" states, some localities are lost causes. For those still doing the electoral politics thing, pick your battles. Campaign work for a somewhat libertarian candidate in one district might be a better use of time than supporting a "pure" libertarian candidate in a lost cause district. And for those that are done with electoral politics. No worries, I get it.

Interesting. Florida is a "must win" state. Look at what's going on in Pennsylvania. Democrats are out pacing Republicans on returned mail in ballots 3 to 1, but 91% of Republicans say they typically vote on election day. So....the Nixon administration now admittedly launching the war on drugs to hurt black people, now admitted by the Nixon administration, is not a sign of systemic racism? Passing laws which criminalize the drugs blacks use more than whites is not systemic racism? Dude there's nothing wrong with being "woke." I became "woke" listing to Ron Paul. Apparently you didn't actually listen to Ron Paul. I became "woke" to the federal reserve system. I became "woke" to 9/11 prior to hearing about Paul. Stay sleep. You missed the r3volution. This was the recording from Bob Woodward. The same recording where Trump said he knew COVID was serious but downplayed it because he didn't want to cause a panic. I don't know why Trump had that conversation, but trying to help his election chances doesn't seem to be it. So...I think he was being sincere.

Actually it's very on point. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/nixon-drug-war-racist_n_56f16a0ae4b03a640a6bbda1 Journalist Dan Baum wrote in the April cover story of Harper’s about how he interviewed Ehrlichman in 1994 while working on a book about drug prohibition. Ehrlichman provided some shockingly honest insight into the motives behind the drug war. From Harper’s: “You want to know what this was really all about?” he asked with the bluntness of a man who, after public disgrace and a stretch in federal prison, had little left to protect. “The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.” And that's even before the whole "Let's use drugs to fund the contras" scandal that led to the obvious murder suicide of Gary Webb. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/gary-webb-dark-alliance_n_5961748

LOL. Oh give me a freaking break! The "statistics tell lies" when the make the system look racist but the IQ statistics can't be questioned because they make blacks look dumb? Dude that hissing sound is your credibility draining away. But okay, you want to go with anecdotes? I'll give you anecdotes. Exhibit 1: Tulia Texas. In Tulia Texas one in ten of the black residents were arrested and convicted of drug charges on nothing but the word of one white cop who turns out had already been convicted of perjury. When the all white jurors were asked later about it they said "Well we just didn't think a cop would like." https://www.aclu.org/other/racist-arrests-tulia-texas Exhibit 2: Harvey Milk. When a white conservative San Francisco city councilman murdered Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to be elected to public office, they moved the trial to a conservative county thinking that they were more likely to give him the death penalty. The problem? They were more likely to SYMPATHIZE with him since he seemed so much like them. He won on what has now been called the "Twinkie defense." (Supposedly he was on a sugar high and that gave him diminished capacity.) One of the jurors later said "He seemed like such a nice man that there had to be SOME reason why he did what he did."

I really don't give a flip about Larry Elder. According to Ron Paul, blacks use drugs at the same rates as white, are more likely to be arrested, once arrested are more likely to be prosecuted, once prosecuted are more likely to be convicted, once convicted are more likely to be imprisoned. So at every fvcking stage blacks get it worse. That's the point of the First Step Act which Rand Paul and Donald Trump both supported. It undid the 1994 crime bill that gave higher sentences for the drugs blacks tend to use (crack) over the drugs whites used (powdered cocaine). Note that now that the opioid crisis is mostly affecting whites, you have more white people pushing the idea of treatment over incarceration. But hay, maybe you think Ron Paul, Rand Paul and Donald Trump are all wrong on this issue. Fine. Ignorant position but fine.

I wish things were a lot more local too. I'm really not looking for a country of 300 million at all. I think that's too big. Those who didn't want to live by Christian law could live somewhere else and choose God's judgment over his blessings.

And while I do believe the BIble requires civil authorities to punish homosexuality, and with death as the maximum penalty, I don't think it would be legitimate even for the government to just round up people in a gay bar.

  8. Sorry, but you have failed. That verse does not contain the words "Grace is irresistible." You can interpret it that way, but that's not what the verse says. You had to admit there was "relational language" in the Bible. Yet you have stuck to your guns that there isn't a verse that says "Have a relationship with Jesus." Likewise there is no verse that says "Grace is irresistible." If you were honest you would simply admit that. But you aren't honest.
