WE ALL WIN? Giving poor people cash is a good idea. Giving entrepreneurs cash might be a great one By Dan KopfOctober 9, 2018 If you’re a young person in Nigeria, there’s a good chance you’re out of work. A whopping 40% of people between the ages of 25-34 were unemployed in 2017, according to the Nigerian National Bureau of Statistics. As the country’s population continues to grow—the median age of in the country is only 18—the economy is struggling to create jobs at a sufficiently fast pace.

Your words. There is no difference period. Trump tried for legislation to ban semi-autos and failing that attempted to do the next best thing which was gun control by executive order. The difference is that Obama wasn't smart enough of a gun grabber to think of that.

*Sigh* Take a deep breath. This shows why partisan politics, and even personality politics is toxic. Criminal justice reform is an unqualified good thing. We're not talking about "muh roads" or "muh healthcare" or even "muh border wall." We're talking about reducing the harm that government has already caused. That should be encouraged by people of good will, democrats and republicans. That was making its way through congress. I doubt that will happen this year, in large part because the democrats and the media have made the political environment so toxic. Now you might say "Well what about Trump's toxicity?" Well...what about it? I'm expecting that. The man is an ass. But democrats and republicans could have just ignored the man on this one issue, got it done and let him sign it. As for the drug war? I haven't seen Trump attempt to rollback any of the gains recently made in undoing it. Yes Jeff Sessions is a hard core drug warrior. I wish Jeff Sessions wasn't attorney general. Trump seems to feel the same, but can't fire him because it would look like he was doing it out of spite for Jeff recusing himself on the Russia probe. I saw the picture of the Al Awlawki girl. Yes that was tragic. Obama killed her dad and brother with drone strikes. Obama also bombed the "Doctors Without Borders" in Afghanistan. I'm against Trump when he is wrong (which is often) and was against Obama when he was wrong (which is often). When Obama rarely did something right I actually gave him due credit for doing that.

Well I'm not on your list of "mentions." And I don't personally recall calling you any of that. (Which I guess is why you didn't call me out). And I am 100% fine with supporting Trump when he does something that's actually pro liberty or non interventionist like reaching out to North Korea or attempting to roll back the so called affordable care act. And you have not been one of those making excuses for Trump on the 2nd amendment. That said, I don't personally believe that expanding police powers in the so constitution free zone that is our border or building a wall is good for liberty. I understand your reasoning on that, I just disagree with it.

Being non-interventionist != being totally against any military actions ever. Ron Paul supported going after Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. Bombing daesh, a terrorist regime with no legitimacy, is no different. And note I'm not a Trump fan. The truth is that Obama was leaving daesh alone and going after Assad. Horrible, horrible strategy if you are actually against Islamic terrorism.

You cannot give Reputation to the same post twice. 1) Chuck Baldwin is awesome and that further solidifies that Ron Paul did the right thing to support him over Bob Barr when he dropped out in 2008. 2) Thank you for posting that. I knew the situation was bad, but I did not know how bad. 3) Prior to being elected, when some of us pointed out that Trump wrote in his 2002 book The America We Deserve that he supported a new assault weapons ban, Trump humpers were all like "He can change his mind." Now, after being elected, Trump stumps for assault weapons bans and Trump humpers are like "Well he's trying to do it by executive order so that makes it better because it can more easily be overturned" even though the truth is Trump is backing BOTH executive action AND legislation to restrict gun rights. I support the Trump tax cuts, reaching out to North Korea, and ending the regime change/confront Russia policy in Syria. That's....that's about it.

I agree. I just wish people would quit acting like Trump is a republican. He's not. He never was. He's a wolf in sheep's clothes. And there is no excuse for what HE is doing on the 2nd amendment front. Yes the republicans in state houses are doing a bang up job protecting gun rights. On the federal level...not so much. At the presidential level....he's working for the other side. And he always has.

OMG! Your mental gymnastics are painfully stupid as usually. Trump at first backed legislation for a new assault weapons ban and then walked it back due to a backlash from the right. And the same republican majority that wouldn't let Obama pass an assault weapons ban won't let Trump. The dems will not get a 2/3rd majority in the senate even if they run the tables, so if Trump was solidly pro second amendment, which he is NOT (he was calling for an assault weapons ban back in 2002), then it wouldn't matter if the dems got both houses because any new gun control could be vetoed. And when Obummer was president we were all solidly against his abuse of executive and administrative orders. Now you're saying that's good because its going to fail in the courts? How many Obummer executive orders were overturned in court? Not many.

    A) Since when is theft a violent crime? Robbery is theft by violence. Which means that regular theft is, by definition, non violent. I wouldn't want to see a police drone gun down a shoplifter for example. and B) From the desk of Ron Paul.

Thanks for the OP post donnay. It was a retrospective study so we have to take it with a grain of sodium ascorbate (pun intended!), but interesting nonetheless. There are currently trials underway to determine high dose Vitamin C therapy for sepsis and cancer. Hoping some real good data comes out of it. Personally I take 1 G sodium ascorbate together with 1.9 G of Liposomal Vitamin C, two to three times per day, for anywhere between 6-9 G daily and I double it temporarily if I catch a cold. So far so good. YMMV as the GI upset can be significant at high doses.

I wish things were a lot more local too. I'm really not looking for a country of 300 million at all. I think that's too big. Those who didn't want to live by Christian law could live somewhere else and choose God's judgment over his blessings.

And while I do believe the BIble requires civil authorities to punish homosexuality, and with death as the maximum penalty, I don't think it would be legitimate even for the government to just round up people in a gay bar.

  8. Sorry, but you have failed. That verse does not contain the words "Grace is irresistible." You can interpret it that way, but that's not what the verse says. You had to admit there was "relational language" in the Bible. Yet you have stuck to your guns that there isn't a verse that says "Have a relationship with Jesus." Likewise there is no verse that says "Grace is irresistible." If you were honest you would simply admit that. But you aren't honest.
