This is a good thing. It's why I'm glad that Biden "won" (whatever one thinks that means in this case). Trump had the effect of red-pilling a lot people with respect to the corporate media wing of the Cathedral. And now Biden is having the effect of red-pilling a lot of people with respect to the government wing of the Cathedral.

Wokeness is not really about justice of any kind ("social" or otherwise). Ultimately, it is actually about money, power, and status - and "equity" is the term used by the Woke to denote their desired distribution of money, power, and status. Any such distribution, of course, will require the ranking of groups of "victims" into hierarchies. This produces a sort of "Victimization Olympics" wherein the gold medalists will receive the most money, power, and status, the silver medalists the next most money, power, and status, and so forth. Unsurprisingly, given the stakes, the resulting competition among victim-group "teams" can be even fiercer (and much nastier) than that found in any championship sporting event. This, in turn, leads to a pronounced tendency among the Woke to devour themselves in throes of self-cannibalization, in which mere opposition to "whiteness" is not sufficient to satiate their voracious appetites. I recently made note of this phenomenon in another thread: I have since encountered and posted elsewhere other examples of this behavior, but it would be nice to have a single locus in which to collect them.

I've had the same experience with other stories published by the Washington Examiner. This serves as a good reminder to always take note of the source of a story before taking it at face value. If I hadn't neglected to do so in this case, I would have been more skeptical. (And to be fair, the Daily Mail isn't exactly noted for its reliability, either ...)

https://twitter.com/CHSommers/status/1381003322702897153 1381003322702897153 Here a few more tidbits from the article referenced in the tweet (the author is, of course, a "crtical race studies professor"): nti-Asian racism has the same source as anti-Black racism: white supremacy. So when a Black person attacks an Asian person, the encounter is fueled perhaps by racism, but very specifically by white supremacy. White supremacy does not require a white person to perpetuate it. White supremacy is an ideology, a pattern of values and beliefs that are ingrained in nearly every system and institution in the U.S. It is a belief that to be white is to be human and invested with inalienable universal rights and that to be not-white means you are less than human – a disposable object for others to abuse and misuse. The dehumanization of Asian people by U.S. society is driven by white supremacy and not by any Black person who may or may not hate Asians. White supremacy as the root of racism can be seen in the Latino man in Texas stabbing a Burmese family in March 2020, claiming he did so because they were Chinese and bringing the coronavirus into the U.S.

Whatever difference there may be, it is certainly not so huge that an 18-year-old can reasonably be expected to understand that street racing is dangerous and stupid, that carjacking is dangerous and morally wrong, and that if one does either of those things one can and should be held to account for the consequences, but 13- or 14-year-olds cannot. I neither said nor implied any such thing. By the same logic, I could say, "So ... let me see if I understand. You think there is some equivalence between a carjacking that results in the death of an innocent person and someone hitting and killing a pedestrian because that person had a heart attack while driving?" But I won't say it, because you haven't given me any reason to think such a silly thing about you - just as I haven't given you any reason to think that I regard premeditated murder and "a carjacking gone bad" as somehow equivalent. And if I wanted to be as snarky and accusatory as you are for some reason being towards me, I could also point out that the notion of a "carjacking gone bad" is a rather bizarre way of putting things (carjackings don't "go bad," they already are bad, and can only get worse, which is what this one did) and could be interpreted as an attempt by you to downplay the gravity of what happened. But I won't do that either, because I don't actually think that of you and I'm not trying to be snarky or accusatory.

Just out of curioisity, what exactly about "anarchism" do you disagree with? Mind you, I'm talking about philosophical anarcho-capitalism, not "anarchism" in the sense of no law and order of any kind. Were you using the term in the latter sense when you said you disagreed with it?

What distinction do you see between voluntarism and anarcho-capitalism, if any?

Yes, it does. And it will for a short spell, and then they'll go right back to it. Correct; Attack; Claim Victimhood - that is the M.O. They've admitted that Christianity is a warzone, and they believe that they aren't doing God's work unless they are sowing discord and reviled.

Get ready for phase three: victimhood, they are going to claim it.

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Glen Bradley Webdomain Update 12/23

We are working on a community network that enhances the services, duties, and abilities of a State Legislator to affect the will of his district into law.

By developing a community caucus and integrating it with physical town halls and events, a new level of transparency will be achieved that will hopefully lead America back into the 21st century of Freedom.

Your help is vital to this project. We will need volunteers and funding. This is technically a "campaign activity"

S.510 Food Safety LIVES!

by GunnyFreedom on 12-19-2010 at 09:19 PM
Beware! Using a procedural trick, the US Senate late Sunday night unanimously added the Food Safety Bill back into the new Continuing budget resolution. It returns to the House in the exact text they sent it for consideration and a vote.

So says Jamie Dupree.

A major food safety bill that had almost been given up for dead was suddenly revived in the Senate late on Sunday evening, and may be ready for House approval as early as Tuesday.

Glen Bradley Legislative Agenda Strategy 2.0

North Carolina Farmer's Freedom Protection Act

The basic idea is to specify via the 10th Amendment that all foodstuffs produced in and remaining within the borders of the State of North Carolina are not subject to Federal law or Federal regulation.
