TPTB want the voters to hate the other side so badly that both sides will vote even harder. They need that buy-in and the consent. As far as completely abolishing the IRS, totally scrapping FedDeptEd, fully defunding OWS/Project NextGen and other things that really matter, TPTB will make certain that doesn't happen by GIFTING the voters preselected candidates and the illusion of choice. It's the stupid little bones that each side offers relating to the constituents they are trying to target. Then, passes are given, the country keeps sliding, and people can't wait until the next time to do it over again.

The only thing HIGH is the people writing their report, because it sure as shit isnt Main Street saying the economy is doing great. And they also omitted some additional facts. In this New Poll, they ONLY polled Biden supporters, and excluded any people they thought might have supported Trump. So, of Biden supporters, 100% of Biden supporters apparently think that Biden is doing a good job and want to support Biden. That is CIRCULAR LOGIC within their poll. In a poll of people who think water is wet, they polled some water to ask water if water thought water is wet and 100% of water thinks water is wet. But they did not bother to poll anything that was dry, like, you know, a desert? This is how POLL MANIPULATIONS work. They do not ask questions in such a manner as to allow the person to have a good reflection of their opinions. They ask LEADING questions. How good of a job do you think Biden is doing with the economy? They do NOT ask "is Biden doing a good job". Leading questions result in misrepresented polling results.

Right :tears: How many crack-proof safes were cracked? How did the unsinkable Titanic sink? Too bad Trump didn't help educate his followers so that they could in turn contact their reps. Instead, he Pied-Piper'd "republicans" into buying everything that he had to sell. Don't blow smoke up my ass, Swordy, it doesn't work.

Everything is about money. But let's suppose you are onto to something: He never stood in front of the podium explaining how bad the bills really were, in order to educate his dedicated "followers" and get them to contact their representatives. Instead he repeatedly threatened Massie, even to the point of wanting to throw him out of the republican party.

Whenever it began: 1. If Trump didn't know about it, he is not qualified to run this country, the contract/business person that he is. 2. If Trump did know about it, he didn't do anything to correctly to address it. Either way it's a fail. Either way, his "solutions" require more government intervention. As to your post above, it was the bills that he signed into law which actually funded them.

This is what you previously said (bold emphasis added): "So" conveys the meaning of "thus" or "therefore", implying that any "egregiousness" in the degree of liability found was caused or warranted (at least in part) by Jones' disobedience to the court, rather (or in addition to) the conduct alleged by the plaintiffs. If it is the case that you did not intend to convey that implication, then so be it - but it is the reasonable inference to have been drawn from what you said. (Even if the degree of liability found for the conduct alleged by the plaintiffs was warranted, then it would still have been so, regardless of any disobedience to the court by Jones - thus, the explicit association of the latter to the former in your statement only served to reinforce that inference). There is a substantive and quite significant difference between incidentally and indirectly happening to impair someone's ability to "promote new business ventures" or the like by reasonably (albeit perhaps harshly) fining them for something they've done (on one hand) and deliberately seeking to directly inflict such impairments as an explicit goal (on the other hand) - not to mention that in any case, such a purpose clearly runs counter to any compensatory objectives (as for punitive objectives, see below). The only purpose of seizing Jones' social media accounts is to deprive him of their use. They are otherwise of little or no value. No one is going to give a damn about Jones' Twitter or Instagram accounts without Jones behind them. That is why they are seeking to take them from him. Whatever one thinks of the obnoxiousness of Jones' defamation of mass shooting survivors as "crisis actors" and such, the notion that it rises to the level of imposing ruinous 10-figure damages so great that they can never reasonably be hoped to be recovered is grotesquely absurd. It is neither compensatory nor (justly) punitive, but only viciously destructive. Such carte blanche is not punitive justice - it is punitive "lawfare". That Jones may be an "egregious" jackass does not change this (nor does the weak sop that he will mercifully be permitted to have a job at which he might graciously be allowed to say things publicly, if someone will hire him).

Good grief. Is that how he's going to roll "Stop and Frisk" out, and pledge “to indemnify all police officers and law-enforcement officials"? Take federal tax money and leave it up to the states? Don't the states already have a right to refuse federal money? Without defunding and eliminating the federal agency altogether , I'm not sure how many states would actually refuse "free" money, which they can already refuse now if they wanted to.

Mises Wire Soham Patil 06/22/2024 In our modern world, most states are democracies or at least call themselves “democratic.” The adoption of democracy is hailed as one of humanity’s greatest achievements. Once upon a time, humanity broke out of the shackles of monarchies and has never looked back since. Nowadays, all citizens in democratic countries are free and safe from despots. Except, that is far from the truth. Democratic systems have been around for a long time. Ancient Greece comes to mind as the most prominent example of democracy in antiquity. While modern democracies are wildly different from the ones in ancient Athens, they are still susceptible to the pitfalls applicable to all democracies. Democracies violate freedom of association. Proponents of democracies often argue that everyone is given a vote and that this equates to fair and just representation. However, this binds the citizenry into the social contract since they are forced to abide by the results of the democracy even if they did not consent to a government. Simply giving everyone a vote is not valid restitution for forcing them to abide by the rules of the state. This hasn’t stopped democracies from attempting to manufacture consent to their social contract by claiming that a right to vote is sufficient as consent. If four thieves sneak into a house and then outvote the homeowner to transfer possession of the home to them, the result could hardly be termed just. Democracies aren’t infallible and do not justify decisions as moral based solely on the will of the majority.

Bryan | 21 June 2024} Paul O’Brien, who lives in Grafton, West Virginia, observed a Taylor County Sheriff’s Deputy running a speed trap across the road from his residence. He posted on Facebook about it, joking that he WISHED he had an M-80 (firecracker) so that he could set it off and cause the deputy to have a heart attack. In the same post, he criticized the department for the deaths of three individuals over the years. Deputy Cody Mayle of the TCSD then paid Paul a visit at his home. He had no warrant, but rather just wanted to “talk.” When Paul decided he didn’t want to talk with Deputy Mayle, Deputy Mayle suddenly grabbed him and arrested him. Paul spent two nights in jail. Around three months later, the frivolous charge of “obstruction” was dropped, since it was admittedly frivolous, according to the prosecutor. Paul submitted a complaint to the department, but heard nothing back. Guy Posted About Local Cops on Facebook - They Arrest Him For it!

Just out of curioisity, what exactly about "anarchism" do you disagree with? Mind you, I'm talking about philosophical anarcho-capitalism, not "anarchism" in the sense of no law and order of any kind. Were you using the term in the latter sense when you said you disagreed with it?

What distinction do you see between voluntarism and anarcho-capitalism, if any?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! S.510 Food Safety LIVES!

Beware! Using a procedural trick, the US Senate late Sunday night unanimously added the Food Safety Bill back into the new Continuing budget resolution. It returns to the House in the exact text they sent it for consideration and a vote.

So says Jamie Dupree.

A major food safety bill that had almost been given up for dead was suddenly revived in the Senate late on Sunday evening, and may be ready for House approval as early as Tuesday.
