Are you going for an Orthodox cross in the lower left? It depends on the tradition (Greek, Russian, etc), but they traditionally look more like this: The bottom diagonal, IIRC, represents where the feet were nailed.

Well, what do you know: it looks like RPF still supports repealing the income tax. Who would'a thought? Thanks, guys, for putting a smile on my face and keeping the torch alive. Let's not let the cynics and those with an ulterior agenda get us down. :)

Obama did all kinds of stuff that leftists wanted. There were victories, real victories, to delight them every month when Obama ruled and the Dems held the Congress. And then at least once a year even after Republicans took the Congress. "Obama was supposed to heal the world" was a con? Come on. What kind of a con is that? Obama himself never even said "I am here to usher in the Age of Aquarius," that was his disciples, and even if he had no one would have taken it seriously. That's not a con. The left got as much as they possibly could have expected from Obama. He delivered. No, the truth is leftist politicians and activists are effective and efficient. They really, really are. Their agenda is evil, or confused, but they are pretty efficient at pushing it through to implementation. Credit where credit is due. Conservative politicians, on the other hand, deserve *no* credit. Other than credit for being losers. They have been as effective as a lump of mud. Total losers for the last 90 years -- and still going strong!(TM)

"The universe operates according to natural laws, thus the probabilities you describe are much higher." The specialists who actually understand those laws (well, are working to) would disagree. <shrug> What point are you even trying to make? Do you remember? I've lost track.

The knack for simplification is also why the leftist mind is able to sustain so much more zeal and fervor. Am I fighting blackest evil, yes or no? Then should I be willing to go bomb this campus building for my cause, yes or no? It's a great strength. Right-side philosophies like conservatism and libertarianism are much more nuanced and complex, not so black and white, and so it's hard to get people to mobilize for it and to whip up fervor.

Matt is not encouraging anyone to vote any more than any number of other people on the site, and he is not doing it particularly often nor well. There is no risk of a sudden stampede of Matt-copycats forming from RPFs and wasting their time voting. None. Even if someone somewhere does decide to start voting, how much time will they spend on that per annum, vs. how much time you're spending per annum trying to convince them not to? Who is really wasting his time? Hmm? I haven't interfered with your project up to now. You want to waste your time endlessly satirizing voting, fine. You (presumably) think that will help further liberty somehow and make a contribution. Who am I to judge? But I could change my mind. And if you start/keep attacking specific liberty-lovers -- and attacking them specifically for the very efforts they have made to sincerely try to help you and further your agenda! -- then your caustic reign here may need to come to an end.

Umm, duh? That's the politicians, though, not the general Republican populace who obviously hate it, as they do so many other things. So, what needs to happen? For the laymen Republicans to start caring. A lot. Caring like the leftists care, not sort of halfheartedly like present. What's going to make them care? Well, SJW over-playing of their hand is helping. First anti-Trump and now Anti-fam rioting, also helpful. But what will really do it? More and more high-profile leftist gloating about how whites are soon to become a demographic minority (and an extremely hated, persecuted minority). This is the message, probably the only message (at least that comes to mind at the moment -- feel free to contribute your ideas for catalysts, anyone!), that will activate the K-selected amygdalas to finally frown, furrow their eyebrows, get slowly up out of their chairs, and start methodically destroying their enemies with a cold, implacable fury that will never die. Until all their enemies do.

He's done some work for the sake of trying to save this country. What are *you* doing? It's real easy to snipe and criticize and sneer at everything and everyone. To just sneeer. You're off-track. You wanna sneer? Sneer at the enemy. You don't sneer at your own. http://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/getalifeloser

Oh, forgot to mention: I'm glad that you want to phase out the entitlement programs, too! That, unlike the military spending, I would not have necessarily guessed. And, to the extent that agreeing with me is a good thing, your wanting to phase those out is a good thing. ;)

 Not at all! No, it was because I was interested. I didn't know that you wanted to cut anything. You certainly had not ever mentioned that you did before, not that I remember. I am glad you want to cut military spending. I am glad you want to reduce the risk of nuclear war. That is all good and fine and noble. Your paranoia is not so much. Perhaps you've been hanging out too much with your stalker and are now convinced that everyone is out to get you. It is no more "manly" to want to cut a larger amount out of the federal budget than it is "manly" to want to increase it the most. They're just positions. They just are what they are. We could "intelligently" discuss which positions might be better, or worse, based on which will produce better outcomes, or worse ones. If we were capable.

Yeah. One thing to remember, though: there is no "The GOP" any more than there's "The Democrats." All you need is people. Some people. Very few, relatively. But with extreme commitment. There aren't that many ultra-leftists bombing buildings and assassinating strategic targets, but there are more than enough that they've had a huge impact on history. All you'd need is a few rightist killers to make a huge impact and level the field of play.

Sums it up. If Republicans want to win (which would be mostly, though not all, very good for us), all they need to do is follow my simple, guaranteed-to-succeed plan: • Eliminate the fillibuster. Steamroll through everything. Steamroll through everything else.

I disagree. Hillary, and the Democrats in general, actually give their people what they want. They deliver. They are efficient at governance. If you are a leftist, you are winning all the time. You get stuff you want all the time. Your politicians don't con you -- they deliver. Conservatives, on the other hand, have been perpetually left out in the cold. Their politicians do not really believe in the project, or are incredibly stupid/lazy and can't get it done. Even when they control the House, the Senate, and the Presidiency they can't get a single thing done! They can't reverse a single leftist victory. Ever! Much less win any of their own. Leftist politicians deliver. If the left were in power so overwhelmingly, would they be getting their agenda passed and ripping down huge swaths of American society? You betcha they would and nothing would stop them.

 I thanked you for your response. It was a fine response. I don't know that it was any more "intelligent" than my two little cents, but if you are feeling so insecure: yes, Count, you were very, very intelligent. Good job. What more do you want, a parade? Show me the quote. :) Oh dear, not that. Anything but that. Please, Mr. Fox, have mercy. Let me explain my thinking and we'll see if we can have an "intelligent" conversation. The tremendous long-term problems that we face as a country at this time do not have to do with a lack of resources. They will not be solved by an even greater abundance of resources. To the contrary, they will be exasperated. We are already too fat, too rich, and too soft. Burying our millions of whores in even more trillions of free resources will not usher in an American Renaissance. They already have enough. What would help is to yank that money away.

Oh I don't know, whatever you want! Yeah, that's what I figured. Thanks for being honest. My primary interest would be ALL OF IT! Especially domestic stuff. Some of the military stuff is, in a way, just hauling money across the ocean, throwing it in a pit and burning it. The theft is bad, but at least the way it's spent is not actively destroying and corroding everything beautiful and good in our country. The disgusting, mammoth dole, on the other hand, is. Subsidizing whores is. Brainwashing children is. The trillion-dollar project to destroy the family is.

Americans are feeling cramped. Crowded. Trapped. We need a frontier. That's what we're built for. And it's been over a hundred years since we had it. We haven't done anything great, or even anything in our own interest, for a long, long time. The media is the message. Function follows form. Give people a big frontier to tame and conquer, a canvas on which to paint their limitless ambitions, and it almost doesn't matter what stage of advancement political philosophy and fashion are at. The people are going to be free. The innate freedom of the environment will seep into every facet of life.
