So mass incarceration of regular people in El Salvador under the guise of fighting gang crime? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/thousands-of-innocent-people-jailed-in-el-salvadors-gang-crackdown Thousands of innocent people jailed in El Salvador’s gang crackdown El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele was re-elected for a second term in a landslide win. Bukele has overseen a vast and brutal crackdown on gangs, transforming the nation from one of the deadliest to one of the safest in Latin America. But that peace has come at a cost with thousands of innocent people jailed. Amna Nawaz and producer Teresa Cebrian Aranda visited the country for this report. That same year, the FMLN organized a pact with the two biggest gangs in El Salvador: MS-13 and Barrio-18. This truce was formulated secretly, as negotiating with gangs is a highly controversial issue that could result in public backlash. The agreement allowed for the gangs to have around thirty members moved from the Zacatecoluca Security Penitentiary Center to state prisons in exchange for a lower homicide rate. As a result, the murder rate in the coming weeks dropped, with the average of daily murders dropping from fourteen to six. This “truce” was quickly revealed by Salvadorian journalists and exposed to the public. The Minister of Justice and Public Security, David Munguía Payés, denied any agreements with MS-13 and Barrio 18, claiming that the homicide rates dropping were from the work of the National Civil Police. The government chose to continue denying any alleged truces that came up in the media.

The president of El Salvador? He's been trying to break the back of MS-13 for several years now but many of those gang members are living in the U.S. He might also get paid a fee for housing U.S. prisoners the same way private prisons get paid. The fact that U.S. citizens might be part of the deal is disturbing though and possibly illegal. Imagine if Biden had exported January 6th prisoners to foreign countries? MS-13 is a complete quagmire of a problem. Refugees from right wing CIA backed death squads in El Salvador in the 1980s eventually formed their own U.S. backed street gangs to protect themselves from the Mexican Mafia and the Bloods and the Crips in the U .S. Bill Clinton deported as many as he could that were not U.S. citizens but El Salvador and other Central American countries were not prepared for the influx and their prisons became breeding grounds for more gang activity allowing them to become international. This time the president of El Salvador has invested heavily in prison infrastructure and has done his own brutal crackdown on the gang. He's basically running a concentration camp. Not just gang members have been rounded up but people associated with them have been rounded up as well.

So how do YOU interpret the quote and what context would YOU put i it? It seems pretty obvious to me. "Were' putting in hundreds of millions of dollars" (the military aid we've been giving up until this point "and I want security of the rare earth and they are willing to do it" (the condition for sending more of the hundreds of millions of dollars). The context of the article is that Ukraine had already offered that as a deal to Trump to continue military and a significant amount of the areas where the rare earth is located is currently under Russian control. So you would leave all of that context out and just be left with a sound bite?

I think Executive Orders serve a function. Some make changes until another president, some get challenged by judges and smacked down. I think in this era any EO that get smacked down would be recognized as something on the agenda and might be considered for Congress. In some cases a smackdown of the EO might end up being more productive with Congress to cement it into law.

When the people at the top talk about "service sector jobs" they're thinking white executive. People at the bottom are thinking janitorial. At 1:30 this video in the scene from the movie "Set It Off" four women working for a janitorial service talk about how much they WISH the factory was still running.

At the end of the video the person making the video makes the false claim that "people have moved on" and they have all "upscaled and gone to college", ignoring the painfully obvious trend of fewer young men going to college. Then he talks about the "need" to bring in skilled labor from other countries. There is a structural problem in our education system. It only prepares people (maybe) for college or perhaps professional sports. A young man in high school once asked my why he had to take chemistry when he wanted to be a mechanic when he graduated. I didn't have a good answer for him. Do you? You're a commercial pilot now. Becoming a pilot pays well but it doesn't require a college degree. (Neither does being an airline mechanic). Might a high school class on aviation be more relevant to some young people than physics or pre-calculus? But all schools are trying to make sure their students get good ACT and SAT scores so they can *gasp* go to college. That's the disconnect here. So what do a lot of these non college people end up trying to do? Make money on YouTube.

Maybe but I would say there are a lot of ugly biological females out there these days. And my guess would be that there are plenty of trans people that would go undetected. I am not arguing that many are not obvious. Many are. The ones that are not obvious you didn't know.

I don't know. Treatment ending does not translate to healthy individual. My daughters husband that was paralyzed in a car wreck almost a year ago and had shattered mush ribs and collapsed lung, spent a couple of months at Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO. He was released home but was far from healthy. A year later still very far from healthy even after considering the paralysis which will never heal.

The education model whether private or public has failed. The objective of educating children has been obfuscated. It is easy to teach children yet the school system has failed miserably. It needs total reform.

If money that was previously allocated for another purpose is redirected to education, then yes, the expense for education would effectively increase within that particular fiscal context. Here's how this would work: Redirection of Funds: If funds from programs like the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) or other non-education specific allocations are used for school choice or educational initiatives, then the amount of money going into education would increase compared to what it was before the redirection. Budgetary Impact: From a budgetary standpoint, this redirection would not increase the total federal budget but would shift existing allocations. However, for the education sector, this would represent an increase in funding because it's receiving money that was originally intended for other areas. Departmental or Programmatic Shifts: If, for example, the Department of Defense reallocates part of its budget for educational purposes for military families, this would increase the education expense within the DoD's budget, even though the overall budget for defense might remain the same. Perception vs. Reality: While the education expense increases in this scenario, it's important to note that this isn't an increase in total federal spending but rather a reallocation. However, from the perspective of those managing or benefiting from education programs, there's an increase in available resources for education. The caveat here is that such reallocations can sometimes lead to debates about whether this is the best use of funds, potentially at the expense of the original programs' objectives. Additionally, any significant or permanent shift in funding might require Congressional action to officially reallocate or increase budget lines, especially if it involves moving money across different departments or major programs.

Your own words, "Trump is taking federal money that is already being spent on other things and routing it to pay for children to go to private schools etc." Sounds like he could be taking money from anywhere. I do not know. You seem to know everything until you are asked and then only throw out insults.

You are fuching delusional. Where did I promote insanity or evil? I said people should be responsible and choose not to use public facilities and offered a solution for basic service with single stall or even porta potty, and option to pay for upgraded service. You have offered nothing.

Kinda how in the past someone in Government decided to take Social Security and use it for something else? It is ludicrous to think or say that there is no additional money being spent on education when you are diverting money that would be going someplace else and now allocating it to education.

So you are not against good looking Trans people using the ladies room. Only ugly ones? If you think that there are not Trans people that would pass, you are not realistic. So correct me if I am wrong, You say if they pass the cursory look test then it doesn't matter? So your ban on use of facilities in only based on looks and presentation and has nothing to do with keeping biological gender in their own bathroom. If there is no problem to solve, why is there a problem? All you like to do is smear and call names. This is about keeping trans out of opposite sex bathrooms. I suggested personal responsibility and other things. You mock. What is your suggestion? Is Michelle Obama a man or a woman? Which restroom would you assign her?

That is not possible. You cannot have a kid that is a block away from the local school move to a school 60 miles away and say it doesn't cost more money. Furthermore, if many people want to go to that school it creates an issue with not enough teachers or just too many kids. Do you have children?

What is your immediate solution? You have men that are indistinguishable from women. You throw out the sarcasm. How do you propose implementing keeping genders separated? I simply said get to the objective of going to the bathroom. Provide basic service. Responsible people will naturally rarely use those services. Some will pay for premium service. No Sarcasm here. Real solution.

It is going to come down to personal responsibility. People will go to the bathroom before leaving home and upon returning. They will choose to not go in public unless absolutely necessary. Overtime bathrooms will probably be single person not community like rooms. Point is if you are concerned, don't go into the public bathroom. Put a closed sign on all bathrooms and stick porta potties outside in an obscure place. Maybe we will see the return of the pay toilet. People want to drive in the express lane pay more. If you want to use the privy go into the dungeon or opt to fork out some cash for nicer facility. Either way people will learn to not rely on public restrooms. My wife goes out frequently with friends to formal gatherings. I think they wear one outfit and carry their gowns. Then once they arrive at the facility they change into the gowns. Seriously? I think that the expectation of a bathroom to be used for a major changing station of many women and makeup and.... changes the definition of bathroom. My guess is that many women get changed in bathrooms when going to formal events.

The website has been taken offline but it's still available through the Internet Archive. https://web.archive.org/web/20200624002056/https://www.sba.gov/about-sba/sba-locations/headquarters-offices/office-diversity-inclusion-civil-rights Why do you persist in telling such OBVIOUS lies? You have no credibility. And you find some video of ONE PERSON who CLAIMS to be Haitian and FALSELY says what you want to hear and call that credibile? Again you're a lying POS. I can show you DOCUMENTED PROOF of the ADMITTED FACT that eating cats is LEGAL IN SWITZERLAND, FRANCE, CHINA AND INDIA! You CANNOT do the same for Haiti and you have to go with fake video "proof." You're a liar and a racist with ZERO credibility.
