Yeah....that wasn't my point. My point is that it's not that conservatives haven't embraced the "T" yet. Trump embraced Kaitlan Jenner about the same time he brought the rainbow flag into the RNC. Conservatives have a problem with the "P" (although they might go with "M" now). The current backlash is literally about protecting women and children. The bathroom fight wouldn't even be a fight if it were transwomen that actually looked like women going in there. (Don't ask don't tell). But when you've got full bearded dudes in heals going in? Yeah that's a problem. There are a few pushing against "gender affirming care" for adults, but most states just want to stop that for kids. Edit: And yeah I get it. There are those on the left who will keep pushing for MAP rights. I'm just addressing what's triggered the backlash from consevatives.

It's not about the letters. It's about actions. People don't want to see children screwed up. There are transgenders who have come out against kids transitioning and there are drag queens who have come out against drag queen story hour. People forget that up until 1994, there was a "P" with the rainbow coalition and it didn't stand for "pride." In 1994 Clinton pressured pride groups to dump NAMBLA. Had that not happened there probably never would have been pride month in the first place. Please see:

Bizarre but not unprecedented. Hitler had his night of the long knives. Stalin had his purges. Mao had his cultural revolution. Biden has already is prosecuting black socialists who dare speak against funding the Ukraine war as "Russian agents." This story is odd because antifa/BLM was all about "F the police" and...well...this group is attacking expansion of the police. So from that perspective it makes no sense. Then again...if the dems expand gun laws someone has to be ready to go door to door.

Actually I'm glad you posted a separate thread. Information like this if vital not just because it's the most effective way to push back but also because this reiterates the fact that many people who are against child transitioning are motivated by concern as opposed to hate. If an 18 year old wants to jump off a cruise ship into shark infested waters that's on him. If a 13 year old wants to do that...well at the very least the rest of the people on the ship shouldn't help and applaud.

So he was dared to do it and did it. That's why they like having 18 year olds to sign up for the military. That's also why people under 18 shouldn't be making the decision to whack off body parts just because they feel like it.

Yeah. Reminds me of the "electability" trope Fox threw at Ron Paul in 2008. While it didn't help in that election cycle, Ron Paul eventually made it safe for Republicans to be anti-war again. Maybe RKJ Jr's impact will be felt years later if not now. One can only hope.

A) Nobody brought up your favorite candidate. B) You analogy doesn't hold water. If I'm a single issue voter than each time someone violates my single issue I'm going to be against it. And I can have more than one single issue. So, I'm against biometric chipping. Somebody supports that I'm not going to vote for him. Funding global initiatives? That's kind of vague. Is your favorite candidate against funding the U.N.? (I haven't heard him say that). In 2008 my "single issues" were 1) you had to be against the Iraq war and preferably from the beginning 2) you had to be against the unPatriot Act 3) you had to be against the Department of Homeland inSecurity. Was I wrong for ruling out any candidate that failed on any one of those 3 issues? I don't think so. You're free to disagree. Now I was a democrat up until 2008. I liked Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Both hit all 3 of my "single issues." What tipped the scale to Ron Paul? Dennis Kucinich was antigun. By that time I was convinced that 9/11 was an inside job. So I thought to myself "If I can't trust the government to not kill innocent Americans, how can I trust it to disarm Americans? And...I have a problem with a politician who can't see that." I STILL like Dennis Kucinich! If Ron had not been running in the primary I would have voted for Dennis. If Dennis had somehow want the Democratic nomination I would have voted for him over McCain in the general election. In 2020 I voted for Democrat Tulsi Gabbard in the primary. Trump had no (real) competition. We'll see how this election cycle plays out.

Let me rephrase. It's a non-existent argument. It's one thing to say "person A had a particular stock in his own portfolio and didn't know it." It's another thing to say "Person B's cousin person C had a particular stock in his portfolio and didn't know it." Person B can in no way be held accountable for what person C has in his portfolio. Imagine in Jerry Farwell was found to have stock in Penthouse and Hustler. Most people would have a problem with that. But NOBODY would take issue with Jerry Farwell's cousin that had publicly attacked Farwell for being a moralist had Penthouse and Hustler stock.

Ummmm....that's the weakest Trump defense I've ever seen. People have no control over what stock family members own. Some of RFK Jr's family have even come out against his run for president.
