I think Trump's victory is ushering in an era where people finally are growing the balls to say "I've had enough of this nonsense!!" such as DEI, CRT, etc. People are not afraid to say "Yeah azzhole. I voted for Trump." The MAGA dance we're seeing all over the place is a good evidence of this.

As per the Bud Light debacle, they put out this ridiculously gay ad hoping for tons and tons of backlash attention, then learning from Annheiser-Busch's mistake they come out all apologetic and what not, followed by some of their old, but updated classic advertisements from the Jaguar glory days.

This smells like a attention-getting desperation move to me. Who gives a flip about Jaguar anymore? They are a shell of their former self.

This is a compelling argument for government being a small as possible, and government regulations being as few as possible. Maybe instead of putting a sh*tpile of people out of work, Elon and Vivek should spend year 1 getting rid of 80% of the regulations, and 80% of the tax code. That would be a great start and show people they aren't fuggin around. Give all those gov employees a year to retrain themselves for something else.

It would be fun if Trump would play 4D chess on this one - He plays all nice and forgiving, Donald the Merciful, meanwhile everyone on his cabinet goes after them like a pack of rottweilers in The Omen.

I'm about 5 minutes into it and so far so good. My working theory for years has been that the god that chose the Israelites is not the God that Jesus prayed to. The Old Testament god is a barbaric, conniving, slaughter all the women and children god. While the God that Jesus prayed to is a loving and merciful Father God. The word "Yahweh" is in the Old Testament over 6000 times, and in the New Testament exactly zero times.

All good. I'm just suggesting that it's fun to explore beyond the beaten path occasionally. I grew up in the Methodist church, and I've hung out quite a lot at a Hindu temple in town, and visited a couple of Buddhist temples and what warms me up is when I meet people trying to live life the way I am. It feels like we're all on the same path just walking in a different way. Not all that different, though. If they stumble I'm happy to give them a hand and I feel they would do the same for me.
