I'm not familiar enough with the sources cited in that wikipedia article as users of that terminology to be able to say that they aren't Marxist pieces of filth. My initial assumption would be that they are.

Feel free to share a better source. Or correct anything erroneous in that article. Like I said, I have no expertise on the subject, so I would defer to yours. Your brief explanation actually corroborates the gist of the wikipedia article pretty well. Wouldn't you agree? That's no secret or new revelation. I said that explicitly in a thread I made for the express purpose of announcing that as soon as I started making posts using this handle. My previous handle had a one-year ban, and then when I tried to come back after that ban had ended I still couldn't use it. So I began posting with this one.

There are lots of things outside those where wikipedia is not a great source. But it's often a good first stop even when it's not a good source. I'm not familiar enough yet with this Great Replacement theory (if it's even accurate to call it a theory). If anybody here can point to a better source than that wikipedia article, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would benefit from the education.

When I encountered the term "Great Replacement" in this thread I was unfamiliar with it. So I looked it up. For those who are interested, here's an explanation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Replacement

Yeah, I see variations on that argument all the time, and it has no basis in fact. The same people will say that they are the ones who are listening to science and complain that we're ignoring it. But in fact it's the exact opposite. The rules imposed in the US started just as early and were just as strict as most other countries, in some ways moreso. Look at school closures. Very few countries kept in-person learning at schools closed this fall, and the US still hasn't opened them in a lot of places. And our level of compliance hasn't been any less than most countries either. There are a lot of possible reasons for the different numbers from different countries, but the US being more lax than other places about all the social distancing measures isn't one of them.

I notice you keep saying things like "were sent home" and "were told to go home" in the passive voice. Why not use the active voice and say who it is that you think told them to go home? Because if anybody told anybody to go home, or said something like, "We're done, let's go home," it makes all the difference in the world who that person was and to whom they were speaking. If the observers weren't actually told they couldn't stay or that no more counting would be done for the night by someone representing themselves as having authority to send people home or to stop the count, then that's not the same as what you're trying to imply, and keep avoiding actually saying with this vague passive voice.

Forget anything the SOS says. I don't think I ever mentioned the SOS. The original video exists and has been released to the public.

Says who? Partisan observers aren't required to be there. It's optional. They, as well as the public in general, are allowed to be there and observe the counting if the choose. But if they choose not to, that doesn't shut down the counting.

OK. So maybe they got confused and got some things wrong in their haste. But then after they had those things pointed out to them, and Trump continued to tell the same story in his speech on January 6th, that explanation doesn't hold up any more.

They didn't just claim it, they doctored a video to make it look like that. And they (or at least Trump) combined that with a claim that a burst pipe was used as a pretense to get poll watchers to leave so that the secret ballots could be produced in their absence. The events of the water leak are also on that video and took place many hours earlier in the morning of election day and had no impact on the vote counting or anybody having to leave. The fact that they doctored the video shows that they were deliberately lying and not just mistaken about the facts or timeline. Georgia released the full video that the Trump team had edited. So they were essentially caught red-handed in that one. If the real facts were on their side, why destroy their own credibility by resorting to lies that they could (and did) get caught in? I've seen variations of this get replayed in example after example since November of some alleged proof of a massive election fraud conspiracy. And they keep turning out to be hoaxes or misinformation from people who don't know how to do research and think critically. Maybe there are some really good solid cases out there that actually involve lots and lots of fraudulent votes. I haven't gone through every single claim with a fine-toothed comb. But if there are, then those genuine claims are only weakened by getting mixed up with all the fake ones. How it is that Trumpers think they're helping their own cases when they keep reposting every story they see that fits the narrative they want without bothering to look into them before they do is beyond me. It's like a religion to them where they already know the truth as an article of faith, and the fact that a story supports the conclusion that they know is right is reason enough to believe that story.

You may well be way more informed than I on this. But if this is true, then why does Trump need to resort to doctoring videos and lying about the facts? Why not rely on the actual evidence that he has (if he really does) that will withstand scrutiny, instead of hoaxes that will destroy his own credibility as soon as anybody checks them out? He does this over and over. So what's going on here? Is all the good evidence out there hiding in secret Youtube videos, and he and his lawyers have to resort to making stuff up because nobody told them about all the great evidence they could be showing us?

That is one of the most blatant and bothersome examples of clear dishonesty on the part of Trump and his cronies. Georgia released the full video, which the Trump team had edited, showing how the water leak earlier in the day had no effect on the procedure of the counting, and how the wider context of how legitimate ballots were put in those boxes in preparation for counting an hour before those boxes were put on the tables to count them showed they weren't hidden fraudulent votes waiting to be counted after Republican observers left.

No. I don't think the date matters. But he is obligated to count the electoral votes that had been sealed, certified, and sent by the states. He isn't given power to reject them.

I never said I considered him guilty of inciting a riot. I said that if he were charged for that criminally in court and I were on the jury I would find him innocent. But consider what it would mean for everything he said to have been true, especially the first point I referred to. You're asking about a hypothetical situation in which the facts of the world were different than they are and in which the US Constitution prescribed a different way of determining the US President than what it actually does.

He claimed that Pence could send the electoral votes back to the states to recertify and that doing that would make Trump the winner of the election. He claimed that Pennsylvania had 205,000 more ballots than they did voters. He claimed that Pennsylvania's official vote count included 10,000 votes that had illegally been received after election day. He claimed that thousands of dead people voted in Pennsylvania and Georgia. He claimed that poll watches in Fulton County Georgia were told to leave under false pretenses of a pipe burst, at which time Democrat operatives produced boxes of fraudulent votes out from under a table. He claimed that 66,000 votes in Georgia were cast by people under the legal voting age. He claimed that late in the night before his speech Georgia officials had mysteriously found 50,000 more ballots for their Senate elections. He claimed that in Arizona 36,000 votes were cast by noncitizens. He claimed that in Arizona 11,600 more ballots were counted than there are actual voters. He claimed that 150,000 people registered to vote in Maricopa County Arizona after the registration deadline.
