I've been away from here a really long time  #kurwa Not intentional, but I keep getting busy and tired and forget to do this. #kurwa. :/ More laid back than Lent, but still pretty busy. Choir is on vacation nao, so the chanters and I do Orthros and Liturgy. Sunday of the Holy Fathers of Fourth Ecumenical Council Apostle Aquila of the Seventy; Joseph the Confessor, archbishop of Thessalonica; Peter, bishop of Crete; Venerable Enesimos of Magnesia and Nicodemus of the Holy Mountain epistle Titus 3:8-15 Gospel: Matthew 5:14-19 Sad to say that my good friend Scotty (normally an usher during liturgy) suffered a cardiac event not long ago and is still in recovery. :( He's on the mend, but I miss him lots.

It can be "currency" as easily as 1s and 0s can be "currency" (i.e. FRN demand deposits and such). It just can't be "money". "Money" has durability, divisibility, portability, acceptability, limited supply and uniformity.

This is just annoying to me because the д character sounds like the English letter "D" in all slavic languages expressed in Cyrillic fonts. My brain keeps reading it as "socidlism". #kurwa

I don't see the connection between soccer and those negative things. Kung fu is practiced in poor third world areas, therefore kung fu is "third world, anti-capitalist martial art. Kung fu is a sign of lack of progress". Non-sequitur is non-sequitur. PS This should not be construed as implying that I like soccer. I don't. I don't care for ball sports. If I were to pick something comparable to watch, I would prefer rugby.

What I love about America Day is my tradition of flaunting my Freedom(TM) in the face of my dear British buddy Ross' face as obnoxiously as possible. It irritates him to no end and it's endlessly hilarious. :D Another important part of this tradition is belittling the British and bragging of the superiority of Murica(TM), of course. :D good lolz every year.

Another downed patriot. The member known around here as ProfG has unexpectedly passed away. You may or not know his real name was William Greene, You also may or may not know he earned a place in American history by casting his electoral vote for Ron Paul, throughly pissing off the GOP. I am personally devastated. He was the person we all should be. Intelligent, educated, witty, libertarian, and quick-witted, always with an eye on the long game. An important voice for liberty, forevermore silent. RIP, Bill. Thanks for what you did. I will love you forever for that. Edited to add; His wife put a memorial link on his Facebook page; https://everloved.com/life-of/william-greene/?flow=201

BTW, I noticed you had the book shipped to me via amazon. I would like to get a gift from someone and have it sent the same way, but I can't figure out how-and the tech folks were of no help. Could you outline the process for me? Thanks!

I got the copy of 1984 you sent me today. Thanks!! You are AWESOME! I'll do a compare/contrast essay about 1984 and "We" in a few months (hopefully). Keep an eye out on the boards for it.

About KCIndy

Basic Information

About KCIndy
Biography:
Just a middle aged truck driver hoping to contribute to the cause of liberty when and where I can. As I have traveled the country I have seen - and continue to see - support for liberty far out of proportion to what is shown on TV news and the media. That gives me a slim bit of hope for tomorrow.
Interests:
politics, reading, writing, political activism
Occupation:
transportation (truck driver)

Political / Activist Bio:
Participated in phone bank work in Ron Paul's 2012 campaign. Distributed campaign literature across the country as a truck driver during both the '08 and '12 campaigns. Together with RPF member J. Han worked to distribute several thousand bumper stickers for Ron Paul (upon recipient request) during the 2012 campaign. Maxed out in campaign contributions to Ron Paul during the 2012 campaign.

Since I spend 95% of my time on the road, I don't have as much time for "hands-on" activism as I would like. But I will always do what I can to support RPF members who run for office, even if it's just a contribution to buy more yard signs.
