From the article: This is close to me(I'm 90 miles west of Eads along that same highway and also along the Arkansas, but upriver)...no one around here has heard of hogs in the area, the rancher behind me and his family has owned this land for well over 100 years, never seen one or signs of any. Neither have I in the 3 years I've been here. This article is from 2006, maybe they just never really took hold here, I dunno. I'm gonna look into hunting them here somewhere in Colorado when I get back on later.

I remember the last corporate job I had when they started their "diversity" campaign, i.e. drive out and/or hold back white people so the minorities "can get a chance". It was unabashed racism towards whites as administered by the GM(a middle aged wealthy white man). There were only two races at that store, white and black. The latter figured out pretty quickly how to manipulate and exploit this new found "diversity" to their advantage...which shouldn't surprise anyone, as I most certainly wasn't. They were so bold as to just fucking leave sometimes at the end of the night, without even finishing their work, because they knew there would be zero consequences for them doing so. They would even state they were intentionally leaving so I had to finish everything up on my own. Because, wait for it.....slavery. Or, just because, "fuck you, cracker, the fuck you gonna do?" As a shift supervisor, it was beyond frustrating, and if you dared write them up, you were being a racist according to corporate and HR, and a snitch according to the blacks there. Walking out on your shift was supposedly a fire-able offense there - but not if you're black. What's that, you want to report that veiled threat about snitching? What are you, a racist? I'm sure you can imagine how much the word "supervisor" means in places like this...

There are no wild boar in Texas, or anywhere in the US, for that matter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_boar You're thinking of feral hogs. I actually miss being able to hunt those in Florida, we don't have any here in Colorado...yet.

I normally only run one vehicle at night with the lights on as a decoy. Last night,in honor of this thread we ran 5: a 198x Big body Bronco with a 427 in it. She gets about 8 mpg. A 1992 Tioga RV F350 with the V10 in it, less than 8 mpg and my 2002 CR-v that gets like 20 mpg. All idled for 12 hours. Every vehicle on the farm idles all day pretty much. I then ran all three diesel tractors for a while, just because. I just heard the gas water heater come on, and I don't plan on taking a shower anytime soon. Oh, and I'm building a 400 amp hour solar system for my RV, not just for the independence, but because of the awesome amount of environmental damage that goes into making all of the components I'll be using.

Damn. This makes me think(again) about what I'm doing. In theory, they(The Feds) could come at any time. Highly unlikely, yes, I don't worry about it or ever think about it until I read stories like this. The sheriffs have only been out here 3 times in the 4 seasons I've been here I've been here-twice in a week in June of this year for the same idiot that had a phone that pocket dialed 911, and then once 2 years ago because I waived at one that went by while I was walking around with my AR and body armor, he turned around and he pulled in to introduce himself and touch base with me. We aren't putting up any resistance if they did show up, we're not dying on that hill over cannabis. In that time I went through an 8.5 year spate in the USCG, got a son through high school, and a daughter damn close to being done, divorced...and now I work somewhere guarding enough marijuana growing to fit in 5 semi trucks. Maybe more. We have two on the property right now for that very purpose. These are freezer trucks for the fresh frozen stuff(for making concentrates), they stay here but still.... This man worked on trucks hauling illegal cannabis interstate, without even knowing, and got life in prison. My friend that shot and killed another friend in high school did just 12 years...he got out 5 years into this guys sentence. Trump should pardon this guy, yesterday, then make one of his "I'm so awesome for doing this" speeches while legalizing it federally.

78-82 and I'd be sweating and not sleeping. I live in a 5TH wheel that has an additional 30,000 BTU AC for the master bedroom, and I can hang meat in there when I have it running on HI and shut my door. The meat is substituted by my body, under a comforter like a delicious 190lb nekkid burrito. I also leave the main 50,000 BTU ducted AC(also to the room) thermostat at 70 in the summer. I bought a little 12,500 BTU mini window unit when the main one broke and I was waiting on parts that I also left in until summer is over, I can get it down to about 64 in there when it's 90 outside with all three running on high, but that's too cold even for my polar bear ass. At 100 and above all three will barely maintain 78, but that works too, it's not 100 everyday for long here. I'd survive, but be one mean and angry mutherforker if I had to have the AC that high...I know when my main AC broke recently it was only down as long at it took for the capacitors to get here, and I was miserable at 82 in here, lol.

Hope it gets through, even though I'll be losing part of my income(I do occasional armed escorts for large cash drops/deposits/pick ups). While getting an envelope full of cash and a pay stub is cool and all, it also sucks sometimes.

@osan This one of the larger CBD grows about 20 miles from me. As you can see, they aren't required any fencing, at all. Thieves probably can't read, and/or don't care, the bud all looks the same.It actually keeps gping past the buildings that come in frame as I shut it off, and has 8 greenhouses on that property as well. They just built the buildings in the video, I'm assuming for processing.

Agreed, and some people are using these same standards when they try to say "marijuana related DUI fatalities" are "skyrocketing" in Colorado since legalization, when in fact they are simply blaming any marijuana found in the blood as de facto evidence of impairment, which it is not. I often wonder how these types would change their tune if it was legislated that you can be charged with a DUI up to 30 days after having a glass of alcohol... Anyway, why aren't they calling for an immediate national ban on cigarettes/tobacco, if they're suddenly concerned with respiratory illnesses and deaths??? I find it fascinating/mind boggling/scary and sad, all at the same time that people can ignore giant dancing pink tranny elephants inside rooms the size of elevators nowadays.

I get where you're coming from, I do, but casting seeds off into a ditch is going to do more harm than good. You can't just have male plants everywhere, then everything would be pollinated, and that's not(always) desirable. Occasionally we find what we call "bonus" plants just outside of the grows, and we kill them immediately. They are more prone to be hermaphroditic because of environmental stresses, or could be males outright. I'd do the same for any and all I saw in a ditch, or they'd be cut down by the county anyway, because they actually keep up with maintenance of the grasses/weeds along the highway near us. Not to mention, if any weed is found growing "wild" near us, they could be dicks and blame it on us...I doubt that would happen because of the amount of money this county and the state gets from us, but still not worth the risk to us. I'd be harming all of the other local grows - including our own - for the net benefit of virtue signaling.

Damn it. I was hoping for a if you can't beat 'em, join 'em type approach as I got older, and I never hear of any "purity tests" for LBGQT+qrstuv, and figured I'd just say I was gay, thereby removing myself from the "straight white male" demongraphic by default.

Correct. I don't know of any grows that use ruderalis, auto flowering strains are not necessary up here we have a pretty short season and the plants ripen pretty fast, compared to say Florida.

I meant that particular plant has been flowering for about that long, not it's actual flowering length.

I did both, shore stations and "big white and out of sights". I was on the USCGC Tahoma '02-'05, 270' out of New Bedford, then switched home ports Kittery, ME, where she still is today. Did 99% of patrols in the Straights and Caribbean, went through Panama Canal on my first patrol out of boot camp, that was cool.. My second or third trip we came across a 45 ft sinking sailboat with nearly 200 Haitians aboard.

Every vessel we ever came across, for any reason, was emptied of it's contents whether that be people or drugs, and then sent to the bottom after an hour or so of target practice with the .50's. Hazards to naviguessing, and all that.

\ Looks like you're good to me, state of Colorado wise. It says elsewhere in the application a conviction prior to 10 years ago does not automatically disqualify you, seems contradictory here. From: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/enforcement/med-occupational-licensing
