Wonder when these will be weaponized for civilian use. https://dnyuz.com/2020/12/05/police-drones-are-starting-to-think-for-themselves/ Later, in the courtyard outside the Police Department, he showed how, with another press of the button, he could instruct an automated drone to follow a particular person or vehicle on its own. Skydio has long offered a consumer drone that can follow you from place to place, even as you weave between obstacles, like trees in a forest. Now the company, which recently hired Fritz Reber, the former head of the Chula Vista police drone program, is selling to the police and other businesses. Shield AI, a start-up in San Diego that has worked with police departments, has developed a drone that can fly into a building and inspect the length and breadth of the premises on its own, with no pilot, in the dark as well as in daylight. Others, including Skydio and DJI, a company in China that makes the drones launched from the roof of the Chula Vista Police Department, are building similar technology. The Chula Vista department treats drone video much as it does video from police body cams, storing footage as evidence and publicly releasing it only with approval, Capt. Don Redmond said. The department does not use drones for routine patrols.

YES! :) https://www.yahoo.com/gma/californias-trillion-dollar-mega-disaster-090213411.html California's deadliest and most-destructive natural disaster in recorded history, a so-called "mega storm," hit the state in the winter of 1861 and 1862. "My family came to California in the 1870s. And the really biggest storm was the 1860s, and I had never heard of it," Dr. Lucy Jones told ABC News. Jones worked as a seismologist at the U.S. Geological Survey for 33 years and has spent the better part of her life helping communities and leaders prepare for inevitable disasters.

The whole legalize pot thing is stupid. I'm not against that. Its the well if we tax it and regulate it and let government get involved in every aspect to raise funds to pay for government program B.S. its all good. But grow and distribute on your own as a free market should and the hammer of government and the police state will come down on you. Its all about market control. Hand that over to the government and they will be happy to legislate on your behalf. However, if you decide on your own or let others do so, see ya later.

https://www.fox5ny.com/news/new-jersey-weighs-social-equity-tax-on-marijuana TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey lawmakers may include a so-called social equity tax in the legislation establishing a legal market for recreational marijuana, according to reports. Bills in the state Senate and Assembly would give cannabis regulators the authority to impose the "social equity excise fee," which would help fund programs aimed at reducing racial disparities caused by drug laws. The influential Legislative Black Caucus has lobbied for programs aimed at helping Black communities, which have been hard-hit by marijuana prohibition. Black residents are likelier to be arrested on marijuana charges than white residents, for example. Senate President Steve Sweeney said a bill would dedicate money raised by marijuana taxes to social equity programs aimed at helping Black communities in particular.

FED Coin cometh. Your income will be direct deposited into your Social Security Account which will be altered to accept it. Everyone will be required to have a SSN or it will go into your National I.D. account. They already are rolling out the Real I.D.

https://www.npr.org/2020/12/01/940960089/justice-department-investigating-possible-bribery-for-pardon-scheme The 18-page court opinion is heavily redacted, and the names of the individuals under investigation are blacked out as is the identity of the person to be pardoned under the alleged plan. Still, the filings provide a glimpse into what investigators are probing. The federal court order, signed by Chief Judge Beryl Howell in Washington, D.C., is dated Aug. 28. It stems from her review of a government request to access certain communications believed to document a secret lobbying scheme and a related bribery-for-pardon scheme. The filing says a government filter team was sorting through more than 50 digital devices such as iPhones and laptops as part of an investigation when they came across emails pointing to the two alleged schemes. The secret lobbying scheme, the document says, allegedly involved two individuals whose names are redacted who lobbied senior White House officials to try to secure clemency for a third individual whose name is blacked out.

A straight flat percentage. Say 15% on you, and 15% on me. We're each taxed the same proportion of the pie. Wouldn't matter what income differences we have we'd both being paying the same proportion. I use income as an example, as I think that should be abolished. I'm stuck on what do you tax if we go to a flat tax? Sales? Income? Hard assets? all of it together? Overseas accounts? This is where I go down the rabbit hole and realize that this would be a huge boon for the FED if/when they decide to implement the FED Coin to ledger our transactions on the blockchain.

I think it should be proportional so the burden is felt proportionally. 25% of my income is 25% of Jeff Bezos, we'd both have the same proportion in the game. $2500 means nothing to a lot of people but means a lot more to others. Perhaps that could be an incentive to earn more?

I think whatever thing/item is taxed it should be proportional. Say, 25% across the board regardless. Something like an Excise Tax maybe.

Soldiers are already monitoring cyberspace for Covid-19 content to find out how British citizens are being targeted online, leaked documents showed. It comes amid a rise in the number of anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine protests taking place around Britain as three potential vaccines were found to have around 90 per cent effectiveness.

Lowering taxes? For who? Repealing tax cuts? for who? I think a Flat Tax would demonstrate how terrible taxes are. Neither side will advocate for it though because it will show just how much a burden taxes really are. Neither side wants that in order to keep government (and the two party system) alive. The tax code is a selective burden where the government decides who wins and who loses.
