b(1) : a government in which supreme power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law So, even if a law was broken, if due process is done were ok? or if someone holds an office that was not elected to that office than we have a problem?

I'm guessing that a state would have to do something that would be an act of treason or secede?

Is your question what law(s) would need to be broken to meet that circumstance? I would first ask what is the legal definition of a Republican form of government. Because you'd have to define what that means legally to see if law(s) were violated. I have no idea what that is but imo that's where I'd start.

Project Artichoke: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_ARTICHOKE Project Artichoke was the Central Intelligence Agency's secret code name for carrying out in-house and overseas experiments using LSD, hypnosis, and total isolation as a form of physiological harassment for special interrogations on human subjects. The subjects who left this project were fogged with amnesia, resulting in faulty and vague memories of the experience. The CIA disputed which department would take over the operation. Finally, it was decided that an agent from the CIA research staff, former U.S. Army brigadier general Paul F. Gaynor, would oversee it. The CIA sought to establish control over what it perceived as the "weaker" and "less intelligent" segments of society. The operation took place in locations throughout Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Philippines.

Why, then, cannot we have a clear and generally accepted definition of it? Alas! we shall not get one not yet, anyway. To say why would take too long, but basically it is because it is impossible to define Fascism satisfactorily without making admissions which neither the Fascists themselves, nor the Conservatives, nor Socialists of any colour, are willing to make. All one can do for the moment is to use the word with a certain amount of circumspection and not, as is usually done, degrade it to the level of a swearword.

Also: Biblical Quote in Revelations, 10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

12/8/2018 Newsweek. How the CIA used brain surgury to create six remote controlled dogs. https://www.newsweek.com/cia-mkultra-documents-files-remote-control-dogs-1250519 Newly released files from “behavior modification,” or mind control, projects conducted as part of the infamous Project MKUltra reveal the CIA experimented in more than controlling humans with psychotropic drugs, electrical shocks and radio waves—they also created field operational, remote-controlled dogs. The documents were provided under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by John Greenewald, founder of The Black Vault, a site specializing in declassified government records. In one declassified letter (released as file C00021825) a redacted individual writes to a doctor (whose name has also been redacted) with advice about launching a laboratory for experiments in animal mind control. The writer of the letter is already an expert in the field, whose earlier work had culminated with the creation of six remote control dogs, which could be made to run, turn and stop.

Unemployed = without a job. (newborns, dead persons, students, retired, exempted) Employed = with a job Without a job but seeking = employable. (but still NOT employed) With job but want better job = underemployed with a job but unknowingly about to lose your job = actively pending unemployed. ;)

Changing the definition to manipulate or change an outcome doesn't mean much either. All we've done is redefine a term and we have a different outcome. What if we averaged both together to come up with say "an aggregate unemployment rate based on real unemployed and those seeking employment". It still would be diluted data for each case but maybe we'd have a better picture. (real unemployed rate) + (seeking employment) / 2

I've always thought it a ridiculous analysis of if your searching but not working, or working AND searching but don't have the actual job you want but the one your brother-in=law set you with than were going to count you as disgruntled unemployed. I hated the economic definitions of "unemployed". For me its simple, if your of working age and not in some category like newborn babies, dead people, retired, students than your either working or not. Why does it matter if you want one or not? Even if there was a job available it may be in Maine while your unemployed in Nevada. The definition is painted with a very broad brush, which leaves room for all kinds of ambiguity. For me: If your looking for work but do not have a job, your still unemployed. I wish they would track and report real numbers.

This would imply that unemployment is zero because if you are not willing to work then you should not be counted as unemployed. To be classified as unemployed you would need to be actively seeking work. This does not mean everyone of working age is in employment. Some adults may leave the labour force, for example, women looking after children. Sorry, they're wrong. If your not willing to work, your unemployed.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/former-regulator-pushing-challenge-that-could-lead-to-volcker-rule-exemption-for-big-banks-2018-12-07?mod=hp_minor_pos19 A former federal banking regulator is pushing lenders to look into challenging the interpretation of a new law in such a way as to limit the application of the Volcker Rule to all the six largest banks in the country, Yahoo Finance reported. The report said Keith Noreika, previously the acting Comptroller of the Currency, is pushing banks to look into taking the issue to court. The text of what's popularly called the Crapo bill, designed to apply to community banks, has a number of double negatives that cloud the meaning of the bill. If successfully challenged, large banks such as US Bancorp USB, -1.11% PNC Financial Services PNC, -2.13% Capital One Financial COF, -2.29% and Bank of New York Mellon BK, -0.27% would be freed of the Volcker Rule that limits proprietary trading. Volcker Rule definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcker_Rule he rule was originally proposed by American economist and former United States Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker to restrict United States banks from making certain kinds of speculative investments that do not benefit their customers. Volcker argued that such speculative activity played a key role in the financial crisis of 20072008. The rule is often referred to as a ban on proprietary trading by commercial banks, whereby deposits are used to trade on the bank's own accounts, although a number of exceptions to this ban were included in the Dodd-Frank law. The rule's provisions were scheduled to be implemented as part of the Dodd-Frank Act on July 21, 2010, with preceding ramifications, but were delayed. On December 10, 2013, the necessary agencies approved regulations implementing the rule, which were scheduled to go into effect April 1, 2014.

Finally, we must recognize our strong national interest in development, diplomacy, and the protection of human rights around the world. ... The logical, cost-effective way to address the root causes of migration is to focus our efforts on building equitable economies and rights in countries that send the biggest flows of people to America. Thus, helping drive our foreign policy into entangling politics into other people's business where it doesn't belong.

A tender to install 30,000 cameras will be launched soon, Wilson Witzel, who takes up the governorship of the southeast Brazilian state in January, told a media conference late Monday. "Security is our priority," he said. On Tuesday Witzel traveled to Israel to view drones that could be used to monitor armed drug gangs.
