https://apnews.com/e6d0510787c040db9eaf021a47003736 Clinton produced no evidence that Moscow is directly backing Gabbard, but Russian state-owned media and a number of alt-right websites have promoted the congresswoman’s Democratic campaign, and the Russian Embassy has defended her on Twitter. A military veteran, Gabbard has carved an unusual political profile with criticisms of long-held U.S. foreign policy and defenses of Trump. Gabbard retorted by calling Clinton “the queen of warmongers ... and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.” Trump piled on as well. “Anybody that is opposed to her is a Russian agent,” Trump complained at the White House on Monday. “These people are sick. There’s something wrong with them.” She is whack.

No, because the price would drop. That means a huge loss of revenue for the Cartels and the corrupt politicians that rely on that money.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada Canada election: Trudeau's Liberals win but set to lose majority Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party has retained power but a narrow election win will mean he is forced to lead a minority government as prime minister. His party will claim the most seats in parliament but their second term will be much harder, relying on other parties to pass legislation. The Liberals were neck-and-neck with their centre-right Conservative rivals. This federal election was seen as a referendum on Mr Trudeau, who endured a bumpy first term, tainted by scandal. "You did it my friends. Congratulations!" he told cheering supporters in Montreal. His weakened grip on power is being seen as a rebuke of his record but the result is bitterly disappointing for Conservative leader Andrew Scheer.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/erdogans-ambitions-go-beyond-syria-he-says-he-wants-nuclear-weapons/ar-AAJ4PPg? With Turkey now in open confrontation with its NATO allies, having gambled and won a bet that it could conduct a military incursion into Syria and get away with it, Mr. Erdogan’s threat takes on new meaning. If the United States could not prevent the Turkish leader from routing its Kurdish allies, how can it stop him from building a nuclear weapon or following Iran in gathering the technology to do so? Not sure if this tips the scales one way or another. Israel has nukes and so do other NATO allies. I suppose it puts more pressure on Iran to get ahold of some too.

Break into new territory. Its what Harvey Milk did when they set up shop in the predominately Irish Catholic District of San Francisco. He drew attention to the cause. Go where its confrontational to get attention. I liked the movie "Milk" for the political stratagem if nothing else. Sean Penn did a decent job but I'm no fan of him.

Hong Kong Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam took to the airwaves on Saturday to back the use of force by police ahead of a major anti-government march planned this weekend in the Chinese-ruled city, which has been battered by months of violent protests. Following a week of relative calm, Sunday's march will test the strength of the pro-democracy movement. Campaigners vowed it would go ahead despite police ruling the rally illegal. Lebanon

https://apnews.com/f646f91c070e405d93beb53e8a2047d0 Bernie's back. While he insists he’s ready to move forward, he’s doing so cautiously. Saturday’s rally was his only scheduled appearance before he returns to Iowa late in the coming week. The week after, he’ll join Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., for a tour of her congressional district. Tlaib hasn’t announced whether she’ll endorse Sanders, but she is part of the same small “squad” of minority women on Capitol Hill who gave been a target of President Donald Trump. Despite the aggressive rhetoric from Sanders himself, senior adviser Jeff Weaver said Sanders would ease himself back onto the campaign trail. But by December, he predicted, Sanders health scare will be forgotten. Almost all the speakers during Saturday’s event, which spanned several hours on a sunny, crisp fall afternoon, played down the health concerns. “The only heart attack we should be talking about is the one Wall Street is going to have when Bernie Sanders is president,” said Moore, the filmmaker. Nina Turner, one of Sanders’ national co-chairs, said it “boggles my mind” that Sanders’ critics have embraced “ageism.”

If those numbers hold up, neither of the parties -- which have alternately ruled Canada since Confederation in 1867 -- will win a majority mandate.

38 people cited for violations in Clinton email probe WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department has completed its internal investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of private email and found violations by 38 people, some of whom may face disciplinary action. The investigation, launched more than three years ago, determined that those 38 people were “culpable” in 91 cases of sending classified information that ended up in Clinton’s personal email, according to a letter sent to Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley this week and released Friday. The 38 are current and former State Department officials but were not identified. Although the report identified violations, it said investigators had found “no persuasive evidence of systemic, deliberate mishandling of classified information.” However, it also made clear that Clinton’s use of the private email had increased the vulnerability of classified information. Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said in a tweet Saturday: “For the umpteenth time the email story is put to bed w/ a clear recognition it was a pointless crusade that took away from so many other issues we should have been discussing in ’16.” The investigation covered 33,000 emails that Clinton turned over for review after her use of the private email account became public. The department said it found a total of 588 violations involving information then or now deemed to be classified but could not assign fault in 497 cases. For current and former officials, culpability means the violations will be noted in their files and will be considered when they apply for or go to renew security clearances. For current officials, there could also be some kind of disciplinary action. But it was not immediately clear what that would be. The report concluded “that the use of a private email system to conduct official business added an increased degree of risk of compromise as a private system lacks the network monitoring and intrusion detection capabilities of State Department networks.”

https://news.yahoo.com/chile-president-declares-state-emergency-violent-protests-070230347.html Santiago (AFP) - Chileans angry over social and economic issues clashed with security forces for a second day Saturday despite a state of emergency declared to quell the worst violence in years in one of Latin America's most stable countries. Following a day of stunning violence in Santiago that saw buses and buildings burned and dozens of metro stations destroyed by fire, Saturday started peacefully as thousands of Chileans banged pots and pans in protest in the capital and other cities. But this eventually gave way to clashes between hooded demonstrators and riot police and soldiers in several areas of Santiago, AFP observed. The conservative government of President Sebastian Pinera has been caught flat-footed by the worst social upheaval in decades. It declared the state of emergency late Friday and put a general in charge of national security, ordering 500 troops into the streets. More than 300 people have been arrested, and 156 police injured, as were 11 civilians.

I'm not, wait for it...Hillary2020 https://www.newsweek.com/hillary-clinton-cleared-wrongdoing-private-email-probe-1466426 major investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state found no evidence of deliberate mishandling of classified information. The finding by the U.S. State Department, released on Friday by Republican Senator Chuck Grassley's office, follows a three-year investigation, for which Clinton handed over roughly 33,000 emails. So, can we infer that there was undeliberate mishandling?

In his news conference on Friday, Mr. López Obrador spent the majority of the time ignoring or avoiding the subject, while also dismissing criticism of the government’s embarrassing defeat at the hands of organized crime.

Biden campaign is bleeding cash. https://www.yahoo.com/news/joe-biden-bleeding-cash-spent-163455869.html Collectively, the expenditures have taken a toll on the Biden campaign’s bottom line and raised questions about its long-term viability. Overall, Biden currently has less than $9 million cash on-hand after taking in roughly $15.7 million during Q3 and spending $17.6 million during that same period. Asked for comment, a Biden aide noted that some of the cost of the private jet travel was for carbon offsets. As for the broader financial picture, Biden, standing outside of the IBEW Electrical Trade Center in Columbus, Ohio, told reporters that he was not worried about his campaign’s financial situation.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/15-people-killed-in-shootout-in-southwestern-mexico-state-authorities/ar-AAIPC6v?ocid=spartandhp A gunfight between security forces and armed civilians in Mexico's southwestern state of Guerrero killed 15 people on Tuesday, authorities said, the second mass killing to shake the country in as many days. Defending his security strategy after suspected cartel gunmen killed 13 police a day earlier in the neighboring western state of Michoacan, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador blamed past administrations for Mexico's chronic violence. However, the latest carnage is likely to increase pressure on Lopez Obrador to get a grip on a problem he pledged to tackle when he took office last December. Guerrero and Michoacan are two of Mexico's most violent and lawless states, where rival drug gangs have battled to control smuggling routes to the Pacific and interior of the country. The leftist Lopez Obrador told a news conference the ambush in Michoacan was "very regrettable" but reiterated that his commitment to greater spending on security and fighting the root causes of violence would eventually pay dividends. After taking office, Lopez Obrador created a militarized National Guard police force to contain the violence.
