It's almost like...game over, thanks for playing. If they do a 2.2 Trillion Dollar package that's a (1) with (12) zero's. Divide that by the population of the US at approx 336 Million (a million with 6 zero's) and thats a lot of currency for each person. Why not just give everyone a Billion Dollars, wth.

100,000 dead by 4/14/20. That is twice the American death toll of Vietnam War. Three times more than died in Korea. Approximately the same American death toll for WW 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_casualties_of_war

Moreno stated that he acted alone and had not pre-planned the attempted attack," according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Central District of California. "While admitting to intentionally derailing and crashing the train, he said he knew it would bring media attention and 'people could see for themselves,' referring to the Mercy." In an interview with FBI agents, Moreno stated that "he did it out of the desire to ‘wake people up,’" according to the complaint. Investigators are still reviewing surveillance footage from the scene, including inside the locomotive. But, what exactly he thought the Mercy was doing there and why the government placed it there is a mystery. :p

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/democrats-push-fed-sole-sway-200913549.html (Bloomberg) -- Congressional Democrats are pushing to have the Federal Reserve take over the rescue of state and local debt markets -- cutting the Treasury Department out of the decision-making. The central bank is expected to announce a new emergency facility to support municipal debt, part of the $2 trillion stimulus approved last week. It had the backing of progressive Democrats and conservative Republicans alike, including Senators Elizabeth Warren and Mike Crapo. They’re urging the Fed and Treasury to move quickly. In the next round of legislation, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and some congressional Democrats want to push further. They favor taking decisions about where to use the money out of the political realm and giving them solely to the independent Fed. The notion has been circulating for months among progressives in Congress. If the law is changed, it would give the Fed another congressionally mandated goal -- beyond stable prices and maximum employment -- by designating the Federal Open Market Committee to be the buyer of last resort of the debt of troubled states and municipalities.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/coronavirus-pandemic-sparks-new-calls-for-personal-surveillance-and-concerns-204847804.html Yet the big tech companies that have the most location data, such as Google, Apple, and AT&T, may be hesitant to share the kind of data the U.S. government wants — partially because of eroded trust, especially following the Snowden revelations that depicted telecom and internet companies as complicit in global surveillance. “Sharing user data with government outside of legal process is a red flag for privacy groups, so companies would be more likely to share anonymized data with academic public health researchers instead,” said one person who works in the tech sector but asked not to be named. “They don’t want to remind the public they have that data.” However, there are privacy concerns even with anonymized geolocation data, which can be used to follow an individual’s path between home, work, the doctor’s office and other private locations. Many applications have access to your location by default, and it’s difficult to opt out or know which companies are purchasing that information. Those concerns might be eliminated if people opt into temporary tracking applications sponsored by the government or health organizations, voluntarily forsaking some privacy to protect themselves, their families and others. The U.K. reportedly plans on releasing an opt-in app for contact tracing when lockdown restrictions lift and people reenter society. Cellphone tracking data resides within tech companies, social media firms, telecoms and ad sales organizations, because consumers are often more willing to give up private data in exchange for goods and services. Some companies around the world have offered to anonymize that data and provide it to the government to help track the disease’s spread, an offer some researchers have suggested would be helpful in slowing the disease’s exponential growth.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52111805 The US has offered to lift crippling sanctions against Venezuela if its leaders agree to a power-sharing deal. Under the US plan, Venezuela's left-wing President Nicolás Maduro would "step aside" and a transitional council would govern until fresh elections. The US imposed its latest round of sweeping sanctions against Venezuela last year in an attempt to force Mr Maduro to step down. However, Mr Maduro has so far resisted all attempts to remove him from power.

Did you heard BlackRock is in on the operation. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-fed-banks-idUSKBN21B3E0 Although they say they are waiving fees to The NY FED. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/blackrock-will-waive-fees-etfs-purchased-new-york-fed-program-2020-3-1029041665 The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is introducing guidelines to curb BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, from unfairly profiting from its contract to buy bonds from the US government as a part of monetary stimulus amid the coronavirus pandemic. BlackRock will waive asset management fees on ETFs purchased on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and will credit back the value of all underlying fees and income earned on its ETFs bought for the program, according to a document published Friday.

https://www.barchart.com/story/news/4617823/death-of-german-finance-official-linked-to-virus-crisis BERLIN (AP) — The state finance minister of Germany’s Hesse region, which includes Frankfurt, has been found dead. Authorities said he appears to have killed himself and the state's governor suggested Sunday that he was in despair over the fallout from the coronavirus crisis. The body of Thomas Schaefer, a 54-year-old member of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union, was found Saturday on railway tracks at Hochheim, near Frankfurt. Police and prosecutors said that factors including questioning of witnesses and their own observations at the scene led them to conclude that Schaefer killed himself. State governor Volker Bouffier linked Schaefer’s death to the virus crisis on Sunday.

https://www.barchart.com/story/news/4617919/virus-forces-europeans-to-ask-how-united-do-we-want-to-be Spain and Italy alone account for more than half of the world's death toll, with hundreds of new victims every day. Sánchez warned that the bloc’s southern members can't bear another round of the hard-love austerity applied in the 2008 recession, when countries like Greece and Portugal were forced to request a bailout and slash their budgets and social services. “We must not repeat the mistakes of past crises, otherwise the next debt crisis risks coming right after corona,” Austrian Finance Minister Gernot Bluemel told the Austria Press Agency on Sunday. “We should use the existing instruments before we build new constructions that have long-term effects" on European economic stability. This time, Spain, Italy, France and six other EU members have asked the union to share the burden of European debt, dubbed “coronabonds,” to help fight the virus. But the idea has met resistance.

“There’s talk of a multi-trillion-dollar program, given the size of the shutdown,” says Stephen Moore, a fellow at the conservative Heritage Foundation. “There’s a general recognition that we need something big to get some juice into the economy,” adds Mr. Moore, an outside economic consultant to the Trump administration and some congressional Republicans. The ideas being floated include extending last week’s package to make the benefits last longer, as well as plugging in likely holes in the hastily assembled bill. One item in particular cited by both President Trump and Democratic leaders is a desire for more money to shore up state government budgets collapsing under lost tax revenues and new spending demands. Phase one, which President Trump signed March 3, provided $8.3 billion in fresh funds for health agencies and testing, and for small-business loan subsidies. Phase two, enacted March 18 and worth about $100 billion, had tax credits for employers offering paid sick leave, and increases to unemployment benefits and food assistance. The phase-three package of roughly $2-trillion, completed Friday, includes checks to households, bailouts for airlines and other distressed industries, and loans and grants for small business.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/after-three-coronavirus-stimulus-packages-congress-already-prepping-no-4/ar-BB11RWDV?ocid=msedgntp As lawmakers last week completed a record-shattering economic-rescue package estimated at $2 trillion, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) predicted: “This is certainly not the end of our work here in Congress—rather the end of the beginning.” Legislators from both parties, administration officials, economists, think tanks and lobbyists are already roughing out the contours of yet another emergency-spending package—perhaps larger than the last—to try to keep the coronavirus crisis from turning into a 21st-century Great Depression. Many expect the debate to begin in earnest by late April.

Here's one dated January 27th, 2020. https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2020/01/27/coronavirus-u-s-prepares-airlift-of-personnel-out-of-wuhan-to-san-francisco/ SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) — San Francisco officials Monday said a planned airlift of State Department personnel out of Wuhan, China, has had its route changed from a landing in the Bay Area to a touchdown in Ontario. Ivar Satero, the director of San Francisco International Airport, said the current information on the flight has it leaving Wuhan, where an outbreak of the Coronavirus has forced a lockdown of the city, landing in Anchorage and then finally Ontario. “We are also monitoring the State Department flight out of Wuhan,” he told reporters. “The latest information we have is that flight will arrive in the U.S. via Anchorage and then it will make it’s way to Ontario (in Southern California).”

The US State Dept flew their employees out of Wuhan or the Wuhan area when the outbreak started and flew them to San Francisco. It might have been the Diplomatic Service? Not sure which agency or if those employees were even tested.
