That sounds unnecessarily complicated. Just showing a state ID is adequate. AFAIK, every state that has passed a voterID law allows for a free ID for those people who can't even scrape $10 to vote for their fair share of my income.

hahaha... 'they' didn't 'do' anything different than what YOU just did. :) aka.. you chose to emphasize the 'top' 2 paragraphs in the article (omitting the bottom) they chose to post the 'bottom' 2 paragraphs in the article. (omitting the top)

Surprising how this doesn't need to be brought up in Third world countries like Thailand or India.

My smallest house was about 1000 sf with no basement. I like bigger houses. I read an article a little while ago about the downsides of living in a tiny house. I wish I could find it, but the things I remember most: There were 2 people living there, and it meant they were always right on top of each other. Smells were magnified. Things wore out much faster because they were, by necessity, used more. The author, who was living in one by necessity and not choice, concluded that the push toward tiny houses shouldn't be encouraged because it was more akin to living in a 3rd world country than anything else. That struck a chord with me, because I realized most of the people on Facebook gushing over these things had 1000 sf kitchens in their own homes. ETA: Here's a blogger who tried it and didn't care for it: https://clotheslinetinyhomes.com/2014/03/25/are-tiny-houses-too-small-pros-and-cons-of-living-in-a-tiny-house/

Excerpts of the Chinese Government Response to Trump's "Totally destroy North Korea" speech - from the Global Times publication. The response speaks for itself: Trump’s UN address reduces hope of peace on Korean Peninsula "US President Donald Trump vowed to “totally destroy North Korea” at his UN address Tuesday. This is not what one expects from a US president. … it’s increasingly clear that pressure alone cannot address Pyongyang’s nuclear issue and actions should be taken to alleviate tensions on the peninsula. Vowing to “destroy” North Korea, Trump’s UN remarks dampened public hopes for the US to ease the situation. Facts prove Pyongyang won’t yield to pressure. Pushing North Korea to its limit may eventually trigger a bloody war.

Excerpts of the UN (Newspeak) Speech, : And it has just been announced that we will be spending almost $700 billion on our military and defense. Our military will soon be the strongest it has ever been. … I intend to address some of the very serious threats before us today but also the enormous potential waiting to be unleashed. … each day also brings news of growing dangers that threaten everything we cherish and value. Terrorists and extremists have gathered strength and spread to every region of the planet. Rogue regimes like Washington] represented in this body not only support terrorists but threaten other nations and their own people with the most destructive weapons known to humanity. Authority and authoritarian powers seek to collapse the values, the systems, and alliances that prevented conflict and tilted the world toward freedom since World War II. International criminal networks traffic drugs, weapons, people; force dislocation and mass migration just like sponsoring proxy rebellion and overthrowing government and bombing nations]; threaten our borders; and new forms of aggression exploit technology to menace our citizens. …

After ISIS insurgents reportedly withdrew from the area without a fight, (surprise  ) SDF units managed to dash southwards of their positions on the M7-highway and capture the Tabiyeh and Al-Isba oil and gas fields in a remarkable coup.

$8M isn't going to go far... part food/part medical designated for 'children'. The South said it aimed to send $4.5 million worth of nutritional products for children and pregnant women through the World Food Programme and $3.5 million worth of vaccines and medicinal treatments through UNICEF. “We have consistently said we would pursue humanitarian aid for North Korea in consideration of the poor conditions children and pregnant women are in there, apart from political issues,” said Unification Minister Cho Myong-gyon.

According to a White House statement released today, President Trump and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani agreed that U.S. companies should aid in the development of Afghanistan’s rare earth minerals http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-afghanistan-minerals/trump-ghani-agree-u-s-can-help-develop-afghanistans-rare-earth-minerals-idUSKCN1BX06G?utm_source=applenews U.S. President Donald Trump and Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani agreed at a meeting in New York on Thursday that U.S. companies could help develop Afghanistan’s rare earth minerals, the White House said in a statement. “They agreed that such initiatives would help American companies develop materials critical to national security while growing Afghanistan’s economy and creating new jobs in both countries, therefore defraying some of the costs of United States assistance as Afghans become more self-reliant,” the White House said. The two leaders also expressed their commitment to fully implement Trump’s new South Asia strategy to defeat terrorism, the statement said.
