For what it's worth, Napolitano's first choice for SC was Mike Lee (see recent Tom Woods podcast).

Was on Tom Woods' podcast yesterday. According to Napolitano, Trump chose Hardiman (relying on his sister) and at the very last minute, the establishment ambushed him and he gave in on Kavanaugh. https://youtu.be/wBQ7Ce2b_QQ A not so insignificant mistake, especially if Lee or Barrett don't join him soon.

"It was a pleasure meeting Judge Kavanaugh today. His insight into the current state of the law and the Constitution shows he is just the kind of originalist jurist we need on the Court." https://twitter.com/SenMikeLee/status/1019672133398614017?s=19 What does this say about Mike Lee? Playing the long game?

Is anyone here implying that this will somehow get Rand in the WH, either as VP or somewhere else in the cabinet? Roger Stone is an impressive and extremely sharp dude. A fighter's fighter. Called Rand "the future of the Republican party" a few weeks ago.

Rand has come into his own. He is on another level right now. This could go down as one of the great moments for liberty if he takes the reigns in 2024. Rand grew his brand big time this past week. He has learned/grown a great deal from working with Trump. I am hopeful that bigger and even better things are on the horizon. Trump just needs to stick to his instincts and continue executing his campaign plans. The biggest benefactor of his success after himself is Rand. The payoff from being the only politician standing with Trump on this will be massive.

Ter, I have similar views on Trump grooming Rand. He will want to pick a successor, nobody can build and continue what Trump has done and continue the trajectory towards liberty like Rand can. We have to do everything possible to help Trump see this. It's encouraging that Roger Stone recently proclaimed Rand "the future of politics...anti-war, pro-gold, civil liberties."

Rand is more valuable in the Senate than VP right? Has a two-term president ever been reelected with a new VP? What could Trump accomplish with Rand as VP that he can't now?

I haven't seen one politician defend Trump for the Putin summit...except for Rand, who went on a full frontal assault in the press these past two days. He is stepping out of whatever shadow is being cast on him by the media, and like his father, staying consistent with his beliefs and telling it like it is. This is not the first time he's put his neck out for Trump, but it's definitely the riskiest, and if Trump is successful, this will elevate Rand like never before. Trump won with the help of libertarians. Can Rand win with the help of Trump fans (in 2024 of course)? Just because Trump is not a libertarian, does not mean he isn't playing a crucial role in helping libertarianism. Also, I had chills watching Ron and Daniel on the Liberty Report today. I think Ron was as happy with Trump as he's ever been. We'll see how things play out, but Ron was right...the things Trump was saying and doing today, let's hope he follows through, because the payoff is enormous.

Just watched the full interview. The host (Patrick) was great and you can tell Ron was fired up to be there, his energy was terrific.

I have read the orcas in the Pacific Northwest are somewhat at risk, due to various underlying issues (commercial transport, chinook shortage, etc.). If true, how (or what) would a free society do to preserve them? I'm assuming after a certain distance from shore, the ocean is nobody's property. So unless someone claimed a specific stretch of ocean, it wouldn't be a property rights issue. So how would the market figure out how to protect the species, in the absence of charitable contributions?

Jones/Stone say Napolitano is Trump's first choice. Was Trump serious about having a judge serve 40-45 years? Napolitano is 68.
