Remember Ryan Lizza? He is the New Yorker's up and rising, and according to many "star" political reporter - as well as CNN analyst - who rose prominence in July when he published the full transcript of former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci tirade-laced, on-the-record phone call, in which the Mooch slammed Bannon (who was “trying to suck own cock”) and Priebus (a "fucking paranoid schizophrenic") and which led to Scaramucci's resignation just days after his appointment. Or rather, he was the New Yorker's "star" political reporter, because as Politico's Michael Calderone first reported, "The New Yorker has severed ties with Ryan Lizza in response to behavior the magazine believes to be “improper sexual conduct." The full statement: "The New Yorker recently learned that Ryan Lizza engaged in what we believe was improper sexual conduct. We have reviewed the matter and, as a result, have severed ties with Lizza. Due to a request for privacy, we are not commenting further." Considering that Lizza was anonymously accused of improper behavior in the secret “Shitty Media Men” list passed around by female journalists earlier this fall, his downfall is perhaps not that surprising. The governing Pe a Corsica (For Corsica) alliance won regional elections Dec. 10 with 56.5 percent of the vote, Euractiv reported. The alliance seeks greater autonomy from Paris, with a platform that includes the following principles: equal recognition of the Corsican language with French, amnesty for convicts considered political prisoners, and French recognition of a special Corsican residency status, intended to reign in speculative property acquisition by foreigners. Big League Politics is making the case that establishment Republicans are behind the Washington Post’s allegations that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore had multiple romantic relationships with teenage girls in the 1970s, when Moore was single and in his early 30s. Patrick Howley, the editor-in-chief of Big League Politics, is claiming that Tim Miller, who served as communications director for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential bid, “pitched” the Moore allegations to Post reporter Beth Reinhard. He offers as proof a text in which Miller not only questions Moore’s fitness for office, but also brags that “Beth” is “good to work with.” While Miller does not specify exactly how she is “good to work with,” Beth Reinhard is one of the principal Post reporters who wrote the articles alleging improper behavior by Moore. Miller denies the accusations. He told Breitbart News, “I had no involvement in pitching the Washington Post story or any others where women spoke out about Judge Moore.” He added that “there is no truth to it.” Miller and Reinhard got to know each other during the unsuccessful Bush campaign, which began in 2015. Miller’s role as the campaign’s communications director led to his development of a professional relationship with Reinhard, as she was the embedded reporter in the Bush campaign for the Wall Street Journal at the time. Howley, however, made his case against Miller. “These text messages reveal a few things: the Republican Establishment’s relationship with the Post’s anti-Moore coverage, the cunning of writer Charles Johnson in trapping Miller, and former Bush staffer Miller’s cluelessness about how to conduct himself in the world of political subterfuge.” Howley argued that although Miller had denied any involvement in the Post story, “the text messages below leave no doubt as to his involvement.” Even after Trump had won enough delegates to capture the Republican Party nomination, Miller still fought to deny him the party’s nod, and was regarded as a “Never Trumper.” Salon.com, a left-wing site, has even designated Miller as one of its 25 favorite conservatives. Miller is also a strong opponent of Moore’s efforts to be elected senator from Alabama, even going as far as donating money to Moore’s liberal Democrat opponent, Doug Jones, and announcing it on Twitter. Miller even bragged to the Associated Press, “Given all the re-tweets, I probably raised more money for Doug Jones than I ever raised for Jeb.” Miller is now a partner with Matt Rhoades, the manager of Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential bid, in Definers Public Affairs. In addition, Miller was a founder of America Rising, a “super PAC” regarded as a Republican establishment group.

“There’s too many polar bears now.” This observation, which runs counter to the global-warming dogma that rising temperatures are decimating bear populations, was made by Eskimos — people who actually live among the bears. In fairness, this story has not been reported accurately: Many sources have emphasized how Canadian Eskimos have said there are more “fat” bears, and this is true; however, other Indians claim the bears seem to be skinnier (no, there were no fun-house mirrors around). But they all agree on one thing: There are more bears now than in generations — at least in their area. The Indians’ observations were presented in the recently published research paper “Inuit perspectives of polar bear research: lessons for community-based collaborations,” by Pamela B.Y. Wong, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of Toronto, et al. And these observations coincide with the findings of certain scientists who tell us that warnings of polar bear imperilment are mere climate alarmism. Writing of how the Eskimos report more bear/human contact than ever before, the paper informs that some “participants attributed interactions with bears to cyclical changes in polar bear distribution.” It then quotes an Eskimo source: Back then there used to hardly be any bears … 1920s, the father-in-law said they used to go miles and miles by dog team, or by walking to go hunt polar bears … but after 1980s, to now there’s a lot of bears … 1920s, his father-in-law was saying that there were a lot of bears back then … few years later they were all gone … and now they’re all back … I think it goes like that, back and forth. (AB12) Our elders, they say, they migrate, into other area … for years, and then they come back … that’s what we’re experiencing now … back in early 80s, and mid 90s, there were hardly any bears … there’s too many polar bears now. All the Eskimo study participants believe that the bears are more aggressive now. One explained this by saying that the bears are “smart” and “know that they won’t be shot at … now, but back then they used to be afraid … knowing that they’ll be shot.” More at: https://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/environment/item/27562-eskimos-there-may-be-too-many-polar-bears-now

The Justice Department will not extradite a Chinese dissident wanted by Beijing who has exposed high-level Communist Party corruption, according to a senior Justice Department official. Guo Wengui, a billionaire businessman who until two years ago had close ties to the Chinese intelligence community and access to its secrets, is being sought by China on questionable criminal charges. Since earlier this year, China's government has engaged in a wide-ranging influence operation, including the use of cyber attacks on American institutions, in a bid to force the United States to repatriate Guo to China. The effort has included the use of American business leaders with interests in China to lobby President Trump to return the dissident. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has reviewed the case and determined Guo will not be forcibly returned, the senior official told reporters during a briefing at the White House. Just two weeks after it pledged to cap its crude oil production at the level of 1 million barrels daily, Libya has sent a signal that it actually has immediate plans to raise this, according to media reports. In a rare meeting this weekend, the Prime Minister of the UN-recognized Government of National Accord met with the heads of the National Oil Corporation and the Libyan central bank to discuss funding for boosting crude oil production. https://oilprice.com/Geopolitics/International/Will-Libya-Be-First-To-Ditch-The-OPEC-Production-Deal.html Kuwaiti Oil Minister: OPEC Cuts May End Earlier Than Plannedhttps://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Kuwaiti-Oil-Minister-OPEC-Cuts-May-End-Earlier-Than-Planned.html

Big game next week- Chargers/ Chiefs. Winner probably locks up the division. Chiefs currently have the tiebreaker (head to head), so Chargers basically a game behind. If they lose, Chargers would be two behind with two to go. Jets and Raiders after that. Chiefs have Dolphins and Broncos. Chargers have only beaten two teams with a winning record (Dallas, Bills- both only one game above .500). Denver in another shutout- this one in their favor. Stopped their losing streak by holding the Jets to just 100 yards for the entire game. Rams one game ahead of Seahawks and they play each other this week too.
