Lamp started a thread Münster rebellion in History
The Münster rebellion was an attempt by radical Anabaptists to establish a communal sectarian government in the German city of Münster. The city was under Anabaptist rule from February 1534, when the city hall was seized and Bernhard Knipperdolling installed as mayor, until its fall in June 1535. It was Melchior Hoffman, who initiated adult baptism in Strasbourg in 1530, and his line of eschatological Anabaptism, that helped lay the foundations for the events of 1534–1535 in Münster. LIFESKILLZ TODAY, I'M COOKING SOMETHING TO TAKE TO THANKSGIVING AT MY AUNT'S HOUSE. I WAS PLANNING ON WHIPPING UP MY FAMOUS HOMEMADE BAG OF ICE BUT MR A THOUGHT IT WAS TACKY AND SUGGESTED I MAKE CREAMED CORN. HELL NAH, THAT'S A LOT OF WORK AND CORN'S EXPENSIVE. I SHUFFLED AROUND AND FOUND A GIANT BAG OF POTATOES THAT ARE COVERED IN EYES - THOSE THINGS MUST BE OLD BECAUSE I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER BUYING THEM. I THOUGHT ABOUT MASHED POTATOES BUT SINCE I'M GOING TO THE FANCY NEIGHBORHOOD, I FIGURED I BETTER DRESS THOSE POTATOES UP A BIT. I FOUND A RECIPE ON PINTEREST THAT LOOKED GOOD BUT IT WOULD REQUIRE A TRIP TO THE GROCERY STORE SO I DECIDED TO LEAVE OUT THE STUFF I DON'T HAVE. BASICALLY, I'M MAKING CHEESY MASHED POTATOES AND I'M GOING TO TAKE THEM IN A PAN I CAN LEAVE JUST IN CASE I WANT TO MAKE A QUICK EXIT. IF IT WARMS UP THIS AFTERNOON, I'LL GO PLAY GOLF. MY SWING IS STILL AWFUL BUT I'M HITTING MORE CONSISTENT THESE DAYS. MY DRIVES AVERAGE AROUND THE 200 YARD MARK ON THE DRIVING RANGE AND I'M MOSTLY MANAGING TO STAY OUT OF THE SAND TRAPS. EVERY TIME I GET STUCK IN ONE OF THOSE THINGS I'M REMINDED OF THE QUICKSAND IN THE GAME PITFALL. I DON'T THINK THERE'S QUICKSAND IN GA BUT I CAN'T HELP BUT WORRY MY DUMB ASS IS GOING TO WANDER INTO A PATCH OF IT AND NOT REMEMBER TO STAY STILL. ACCORDING TO MOVIES, THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO DO BUT I WONDER HOW YOU GET OUT IF YOU JUST STAY STILL. I'VE ALSO MANAGED TO GET MY GOLF TOURETTE'S MOSTLY UNDER CONTROL. APPARENTLY, IT'S BAD GOLF ETIQUETTE TO SCREAM CUSS WORDS WHEN YOU MAKE A BAD SHOT. MR A SAYS YOU (AND BY YOU, HE MEANS ME) SHOULD BE QUIET WHEN OTHER PEOPLE ARE HITTING THE BALL. THAT'S ONE THING I DON'T GET ABOUT GOLF. WHY ARE GOLFERS SUCH FUCKING SNOWFLAKES? BASEBALL PLAYERS, HOCKEY PLAYERS - HELL, EVEN GAY ASS SOCCER PLAYERS CAN HIT A BALL FLYING AT THEM WITH A WHOLE CROWD SCREAMING BUT GOLFERS CAN'T HIT A STATIONARY BALL WITH ONE GIRL CUSSING ON THE COURSE?:rolleyes:

Hey! My coloring is on the right side of the chart but I identify as "white" - specifically, a Ritz cracka. I'm not transracial but I do have my black ID. I got it because I used to go to a black club with my girlfriend back in the day and people kept axing me what a little white girl like me was doing there so I told them I got in because I had black ID. Nowadays, I'd probably get my ass kicked for saying shit like that but back then, people just laughed and called me a crazy azz cracka. For reference sake, I don't like Pumpkin spice flavored anything or Starbucks (I'm not above drinking one of those chocolate chip Frappuchinos if you bring me one, though) but I do own a pair of Ugg boots. I'm also a known cultural appropriator and have an inappropriate costume for every drinking holiday. My natural habits are the laundry room, kitchen, back porch, and the liquor store. On nice days, I can also be found free ranging around the cul de sac looking for someone to chat with. I wonder what I would be in the Field Guide.

Jury members for a high-profile trial relating to Turkey's evasion of U.S. sanctions on Iran will not be named in court, a federal judge suggested Tuesday. Judge Richard Berman took the unusual step of suggesting concealing jurors' identities after noting that individuals involved in the case have been contacted by "third parties” seeking to interfere with the trial of accused Turkish sanctions violators. "I guess it's hearsay for sure, but I've heard of people involved in this case being approached inappropriately by third parties. And that even includes court interpreters," Berman said, implying that the individuals represented Turkish government interests. He added that he will refer such behavior "to the appropriate authorities" if it continues. Belgium's Gaming Commission announced last week that the body would be investigating whether or not loot boxes in games like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Overwatch could be considered a form of gambling. Well the investigation appears to have reached a conclusion. According to VTM News the Commission has ruled yes, loot boxes are a form of gambling. According to a Google translation (via PCGamer), "The mixing of money and addiction is gambling," said Belgium's Gaming Commission. Belgium's Minister of Justice Koen Geens added that "Mixing gambling and gaming, especially at a young age, is dangerous for the mental health of the child." Apparently Geens wants to ban in-game purchases like loot boxes in both Belgium and abroad. He explained that while Belgian officials will have to go to Europe to enforce their findings, the Belgian government "will certainly try to ban it." More at: http://www.usgamer.net/articles/belgium-concludes-that-loot-boxes-are-gambling-will-try-and-ban-them-in-europe Words have no meaning anymore. How can it be gambling if you can't cash it out for money?

Belgium's Gaming Commission has already declared loot boxes to be gambling earlier today, but the state of Hawaii has announced that it too will be looking into what they call, "predatory practices in online gaming." Chris Lee, the Democratic State Representative of Hawaii, announced in a press conference that his office will be looking into legislation that could potentially ban games like Star Wars: Battlefront 2, and other games with loot-based systems. He cites the need to protect young children as part of why Hawaii is looking into loot systems in games. If Hawaii is successful, this could lead to a national political tide against loot systems in video games. "This game is a Star Wars-themed online casino," said Lee who specifically cites Star Wars: Battlefront 2 in his press conference. Specifically, Lee announced that Hawaii will look into the "significant financial consequences that on families." Referencing Star Wars' Admiral Akbar, Lee added, "It's a trap." It sounds that Lee plans on pursuing legislation to at least ban these games from underage consumers, though the full extent of the legislation has yet to be seen. I watched about half of the first episode and didn't get the first scene. It appears the army guy wandering around in the woods finds a dog who dies in the Mist a few seconds later but when he gets to the town he's freaking out about HIS dog dying. I know it wasn't his dog because he looked at the dog tag right before the dog died. I just didn't get why he was acting like it was his dog.

A U.S. court case against a wealthy Turkish gold trader is a "clear plot against Turkey" that lacks any legal basis, Ankara's government spokesman said on Monday, ratcheting up rhetoric ahead of a trial that has strained diplomatic relations.Bekir Bozdag also told a news conference that the U.S. case was aimed at harming economic relations between Turkey, Iran and Russia. He said U.S. authorities were putting pressure on defendants, including the gold trader Reza Zarrab, to make accusations against Turkey. Zarrab, together with alleged co-conspirators, has been charged with handling hundreds of millions of dollars for Iran's government and Iranian entities from 2010 to 2015, in a scheme to avoid U.S. sanctions on Iran. He has pleaded not guilty and is due to go on trial in New York on Nov. 27. More at: https://www.yahoo.com/news/zarrab-trial-u-clear-plot-against-turkey-turkish-113512061.html

Saad al-Hariri attended independence day celebrations in Beirut on Wednesday after returning to Lebanon for the first time since resigning as prime minister in a broadcast from Saudi Arabia.Hariri, whose sudden resignation on Nov. 4 pitched Lebanon into crisis, flew into Beirut late on Tuesday. He stood alongside President Michel Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at a military parade in central Beirut. Lebanese state officials and senior politicians close to Hariri say Riyadh forced him to quit and held him in the kingdom, which Saudi Arabia and Hariri have denied. The resignation took even Hariri's aides by surprise. A long-time Saudi ally, Hariri cited fear of assassination in his resignation speech, and attacked Iran and its powerful Lebanese Shi'ite ally Hezbollah for sowing strife in the Arab world. The resignation thrust Lebanon to the forefront of regional tussle between the Sunni monarchy of Saudi Arabia and Shi'ite Islamist Iran, which backs Hezbollah. Hariri's return to Lebanon followed an intervention by France. It is not yet clear if he will stick by his resignation or rescind it. Armed men in masks blocked off the center of Ukraine's rebel-controlled city of Luhansk on Tuesday in what the rebel leader said was a revolt by supporters of a sacked regional police chief. The tension in Luhansk did not appear to have any direct connection to the conflict between the rebels and Ukraine's government, but President Petro Poroshenko called a meeting of his security and defense council late on Tuesday. "The Ukrainian armed forces are ready for all developments to ensure the safety of civilians," Poroshenko said in a statement. The LNR's rebel leader, Igor Plotnitsky, blamed disgruntled supporters of Igor Kornet, his chief of police whom he said he had fired on Monday. "The attempts by certain elements in the interior ministry in this way to challenge the decision .... (to remove Kornet) have gone beyond the bounds of what is acceptable," Plotnitsky said in a statement on his administration's web site. "I can say with confidence that the attempts by certain persons to stay in power by destabilizing the situation ... are futile, and in the very near future will be neutralized." But Kornet said he was still in his job, and demanded that senior figures in the region's rebel leadership be prosecuted. "I want to dispel rumors that I've been removed," he said in a video message, clad in field camouflage. "We have the situation completely under control."
