Mulvaney is just a place-holder until somebody else can be found. Trump was frustrated and worried about looking bad by not being able to find somebody and convinced Mulvaney to take the job for up to six months (he wanted Ayers to commit to two years). Also important to note that Mulvaney is not going to give up his job at the Office of Management and Budget and he is designated "acting" Chief of Staff.

The search engines also consider what sorts of phrases you were looking for in the past for your auto-complete. If you search for "Hillary Clinton email" often, it may be more likely to pop up in your search typing.

Just like clockwork. Mention the Fed, get its apologist. Of course, that's not why the Fed isn't insolvent. The article says it's objectively insolvent, and that's true. However, nobody thinks actual insolvency has come to the racket which is allowed to create money out of thin air (or worse, out of debt).

Losing money on a bond assumes that you are going to sell it before it matures and interest rates are higher. If you hold it until it matures, you get the return you purchased it at. Bonds like Treasury notes have a face value- usually $10,000. A buyer purchases it at a lower price- they get the face value when it matures- and the difference between the face value and its purchase price divided by that purchase price is its rate of return or interest rate. If I bought a $10,000 note for $9,000, my return would be $1000 or 10%. I still get that $1000 even if the price of other new notes go up or down. If the next buyer gets his note at $8,000, the price of my note does not change. He gets a 25% rate of return and I get a 10% return. The only way that higher or lower prices/ rates effects me is if I want to sell my note before it matures. To sell, I will be competing with the newer notes which offer a higher return than mine- I will have to offer 25% rate of return as well or I will not likely be able to find any buyers. In that case, I will have to take a loss. But again, only if I decide to sell before maturity. The Federal Reserve holds their notes until maturity. They are still getting a positive return (which they turn over to the US Treasury along with other profits after their costs- last year that was over $80 billion). If the Fed is trying to keep their balance the same, they use the money from a maturing Treasury to buy a new one to replace it. If they are trying to unwind, they simply do not replace some of them as they mature. The "mark to market" price is what they could expect to get if they chose to sell all of their holdings right now. But they are not selling so that is a meaningless bookkeeping price. It exists only on paper. Just like if you own gold or stocks. If the price is higher or lower today, you have paper profits or losses- but you only realize those profits or losses if you actually sell all your gold or stocks today. Those losses or gains are unrealized- not real. You are not broke because you did not sell gold when the price went down.

Of course but it seems like they would approach me about a job for me first. They're old friends of ours and they're closer to Mr A because they play golf with him regularly but still... Mr A knows it annoys me when other people make plans for me without consulting me first and apparently they've been talking about this for awhile. To be fair, one of the owners approached me right before I left for vacation in early October and told me he would like me to take on more responsibility but he hasn't mentioned it since and I sure as hell haven't brought it up. I like being able to just laugh at the dumb asses and walk off. If I go into management, the dumb asses quit being entertaining and become my problem.

Last night, Mr A asked for a sit down with me to talk. For a minute there, I thought he was going to give me my divorce because he was so serious but he was just tired and wanted to make sure I was listening. Anyway, the GM at the bar is quitting and the owners are going to ask me to take over as day manager. I'm not sure Mr A wants me to take the job because it will mean long hours. He said he wouldn't tell me yes or no but he told me that if I want to do it to ask for 30.00 an hour and be firm. He seems to think that's what they will pay me because they've discussed making me a part time manager before but now that the GM is leaving and they just fired another manager, my stock just went up. What I think is weird is that they've been discussing all this with Mr A but no one's mentioned it to me. WTF? o_O

The Pick the Wildcard Round. I'm still entertained that no AFC division is clinched, but two playoff spots are. The West is certainly The AFC Division. Fifth seed my ass. They ought to give first round bye and home field to two West teams this year.

The hell you say! The rest of the nation is kicking Chicago's ass. The correct answer is, not at all because domestic tariffs are unconstitutional. Destructive to a union and therefore--say it with me--UN-CON-STI-TU-TION-AL.

That was hilarious! Sorry they threw a flag. I wonder what would happen if a team tried to declare the quarterback an eligible receiver? They do. If the Chargers beat the Ravens, that very game could decide who goes to the playoffs. Don't expect oyarde to root against the Colts. But I'd be happy to.

Chicago used to be the largest transportation hub in the world. It lost that due to unfair competition from other cities and states. Surely some tariffs could bring that back.

  1. You know these random, shooting ******s are murdering for the State. They never target State buildings. They never hit banks, news stations, or broadcasters. They never shoot youtube, twitter, or facebook, unless people aren't watching their vegan, virtue signalling videos. They never walk into military posts and start firing, despite their sometime suicidal disposition. Its all fucked.

AF's (Ass Face) getting all pissy again in the vent and blaming me for some shit. Doesn't he have a life to live? I really honestly cannot sympathize with people that consistently complain about the state of the world and grumble over the fact that everyone else isn't doing the same. If he hates the universe so much for not conforming to his standards that's not my problem.
