NZ PM said if you go out for sex just keep the group size under 10. If you want population control the symptom has to be sterility not death. You kill could half the planet and we would be back in less than 50 years. You would need mass sterility when the population is still booming so nobody worries about it too much.

The American Government that currently exists violated numerous ratified treaties with tribes that still exist. There are also shit loads of other provable damages to particular tribes and individuals. Getting an American court to recognize any of that is impossible. In New Zealand cases went to the high court in the UK and the UK said yeah the NZ govt has to sort it out. So a tribunal was set up to hear grievances for specific provable damages. Libertarians here hate it. Do you think such a tribunal for Treaty violations would be viable among American Libertarians? That an extremely convenient theory when people are walking around on land you would like to have.

New Zealand has a constitutional right to refuse any medical procedure. There are rules for normal circumstances and rules for abnormal circumstances. Sars- Cov2 isn't airborne Ebola. We didn't know that it wasn't earlier, but now we do. Can you consent to live in a society with mandatory vaccines? That would make it voluntary in general even if consent at the time was withdrawn. If self-preservation means vaccinating everybody around you does that count?

Nearly all right libertarians I meet in the wild describe such land theft as in the past. Its super difficult in New Zealand because they spend their whole time justifying the legitimacy of the states land theft. Ayn Rand basically says the locals weren't developing the land in the USA just hunter gathering on it so it didn't belong to them. Rothbard and Blocks theories of property and definition of the NAP head in the same direction. It seems obvious to me that if you have to kill people to develop a particular piece of land then you are probably committing aggression even if they haven't lodged title with the proper local NAP enforcement guild. It seems equally obvious that this could be a massively useful public debate point for libertarians. The only thing stopping us is genuinely an unaddressed form of white supremacy. Its also a really easy way to bring up the questionable legitimacy of states. Imagine if instead of being the people who want to abolish drivers licenses we were the people who wanted stolen lands returned to people the US gov had treaties with?

The natural background rate of libertarians is about 2.1%. There should be 4 million or so registered libertarians, that's without changing anything. That is what was special about Ron Paul, he appealed to more than the 2%. LP has 0.005% of the population. At a time when people are gathering at extremes. In NZ the libertarian party reliably hits their 2% base, sometimes up to 6%. Maybe Matt should get on Tiktok?

Another genius idea about how to make the party smaller. See because the reason the LP isn't big is because its got too many of the wrong people in it. Its a big-tent party don't you know. Nearly 15,000 get the news letter.

I'm not intimidated by them, until the time comes when I have to be stopped at a "health checkpoint" in order to show them an "immunity card" that I refuse to carry along. They'll be the ones brandishing guns to enforce an unethical edict of the State. And that's the point. Guns are deterrents, and we all have every right to carry them in whatever way we deem appropriate.

That's the problem. You're making Populism the standard, when it shouldn't be. Populism is the reason why we continue to move further away from any real progress towards small government, sound money, etc. Populism is just sociopolitical relativism, and it always moves with the waves of arbitrary, public opinion. We need candidates who are principled and unafraid to stand on principle, in order for their platforms to remain consistent and objective. When that happens, then it will expose the problems rooted in our society, from the corrupt media organizations to the ignorant populace who continually vote for the very candidates that have destroyed our nation because of the subjectivity of arbitrary laws.

Yes. Our government officials need to be reminded of whom and what they're supposed to be serving, and it's not themselves. If they can hide behind guns (in fact, they have armies and arsenals at their disposals) to intimidate law-abiding citizens with unalienable rights into obeying their edicts, then those citizens have every right to check that power by intimidating them with their own guns.

Yes, and that's because liberals, by the nature of their platform, have to argue their cases from emotional appeals.

This video is satirical, but it hilariously shows the mentality of those who are willing to give up their liberties for more "securities."

Meanwhile in NZ lockdown is over with no virus. Cuz we can sit at home for a month during a natural disaster and not shit our pants over it. We can also close our borders. Why is individual responsibility so fucking hard for this forum? The swedes didn't need forced locked down because the can stay home on their own. This is why America is not considered nearly as liberal any more. Fuckwits think they have a god given right to kill their neighbors with disease.
