So many interesting viewpoints here. I feel tempted to ask something like, Question: To you people that didn't already know AJ is a performance artist - do you also believe professional wrestling is unscripted sport?
Let's face it. "America is a country of tall children." - to be hooked into regular listening, a large portion of the potential audience demands AUDIO THEATRICS. And that's what AJ delivers with the consistency and engineering of a lukewarm fast food hamburger ... served slathered in hate hot sauce. I have never been able to listen to this man without inwardly cringing at what sounds like an intentional, affected perma-growl. Hey maybe someone who is an AJ fan can correct me here, but it really sounds fake as hell. And that, combined with a confrontational rather than an educational attitude, just doesn't make for the kinda guy i want to listen-to.
I'm not criticizing or praising his content here. And I'm not saying he's a conspiracy nut, cause nowadays, seriously, where do you draw the line? He just believes some things that I am not convinced of. I do object to the things he says that associate his viewers, many of whom just want information they're not getting from the MSM, with statements which may be advocating violence and civil unrest.
It is also wrong for Trump haters to advocate unlawful acts of protest as well, so I need to mention that here.
But back to Alex, I'll admit - ok, ok, I don't know how much of the persona is artificial - but the result is artificial, charicature kookoo. But then again I got to admit, he's selling to the market of American adults and young adults. Americans are surrounded by so much ~showtime~ that any message that isn't speedy and bouncy and LOUD enough won't cut through the also-hysterical competition.
