Indeed. There is a reason Hayek called his work about the destructive results of socialism, "The Road to Serfdom." Socialism is Monarchy and Monarchy is Socialism.

Interesting article. The writer takes a few shots at Locke, some justified and some incorrect. The whole tone of trying to pull down men like Locke to try and lift up others is unfortunate, I hate when authors try such a tactic because it is pointless. The real value of the article though is how it helps demonstrates that liberal ideals have developed independently of one another on every continent and in just about every culture on the planet. Liberty is not a European ideal. It is the yearning of the human soul. As a result we find it and its ideals in every place humans are.

I'm going to leave that quoted. Just so everyone can see how truly twisted this line of thinking is. It is what will put Lucifer on the throne.

There is no such thing as empirical history. But if you believe there is then it shouldn't be hard for you to actually present said evidence.

Your assumptions. Indeed, it seems clearer and clearer that there is no difference between Socialism and Monarchy. Farms B and C are really the same farm- centrally managed socialized land controlled by an authoritarian power who enacts its will "for the good of the people" who are held in check by overwhelming threats of violence- knights, KGB agents, it is all the same- and mass propaganda. In the mean time those in power drain the resources of said land for the good of themselves and the politically connected elite, leaving just enough that the serfs can continue to propagate and provide a continual productive class for the leeches in power to feed from.

Some US weapons that ISIS got were captured from abandoned Iraqi bases. Many others were from FSA militants (mostly Al-Qaeda and friends) who ended up joining ISIS after being supplied by the US. And I imagine some weapons were supplied directly to ISIS, as even the official stance of David Petraeus was "we should arm Al-Qaeda." Who even knows for sure what the behind-the-scenes strategy was with regards to the Syrian gov. opposition. But whatever it was, it wasn't good. That really was a new theory from swordsmyth though. Obama founded ISIS in 2006 as a senator? It would be reasonable to suggest that under his administration, ISIS was being directly armed to fight against Assad. But to say that OBAMA HIMSELF created ISIS in 2006... that's a whole new level of idiocy

I understand that. But it appears to me that those First-Worlders weeping because they only have 4 or 5 choices for internet (dial-up, satellite, cable, DSL, Cellular) are insisting that the federales need to come in and take away the rights of the states and lower governing bodies. Which is dumb, depressing and downright dangerous. But much easier than actually attending a city council meeting, much less running for local office.

So ISIS is using large quantities of high tech weapons, including high tech missiles provably traced directly back to the U.S.Government, Yet nimrod Nikki Haley is beating the drums of war on Iran because the Yemenis, facing genocide at the hands of US armed and supported Saudi, defended themselves with a missile, the debris of which nimrod Haley alleges has Iran's "fingerprints."

CIA Bought Powerful Missile, Delivered to ISIS A guided anti-tank missile ended up in the hands of ISIS terrorists less than two months after the US government purchased it in late 2015 … Though the report says the missile was purchased by the US Army using a contractor, BuzzFeed News has learned that the real customer appears to have been the CIA. … The missile is one piece of a critical puzzle that is being solved only now … How did the vast terror group arm its war machine? CAR spent three years tracking ISIS weapons as they were recovered by Iraqi, Syrian, and Kurdish forces — and found that what happened to the missile was no aberration. Indeed, the terror group managed to divert “substantial quantities of anti-armour ammunition” from weapons provided to Syrian opposition forces by the US or Saudi Arabia. As BuzzFeed News has reported, the US equips proxy armies in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan with weapons such as AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenades made in Russia and Eastern Europe … “Evidence collected by CAR indicates that the United States has repeatedly diverted EU-manufactured weapons and ammunition to opposition forces in the Syrian conflict,” … ISIS, it continues, “rapidly gained custody of significant quantities of this materiel.”

Got his what? The lunatic level $200 billion Zippy spouts. Even Zippy's favorite info source the Washington Post says on the alleged billionaire status claim, "But where's the proof? Estimates of Putin's wealth lack even the smallest thread of evidence." The WaPo goes on with, "His assets (most notably some cars and apartments) were hardly those of a multi-billionaire." Is Putin wealthy. Yes. He owns a few apartments, several cars and a dacha. That almost certainly is millionaire status, possibly multi-millionaire, but certainly not billionaire. It probably puts him in the lower third of wealth rankings of U.S. Senators. Neither Zippy, nor anyone else has found Putin's secret wealth because it does not exist. He is not the secret owner of all of Russian oil and gas companies as the tinfoil hat wearing crowd proclaim. Nor is he the secret owner of all of the gas beneath the Kara Sea. Nor is the the owner of a heavenly palace on the Black Sea, nor any of the other hundreds of bizarre evidence free tinfoil hat claims. They may spend their entire lives seeking the super secret fortune, but they won't find what is not there. Putin is destined to live a moderately wealthy life. When he retires he is not going to be the owner of all of Monaco living on some 500 foot yacht. The Zippy is smart enough to know these claims are baseless. So one must question the motive of promoting the falsehoods.

Lebanon Lebanese FM proposes to move Palestinian embassy to Jerusalem “I submitted a memo to the government to establish a Lebanese embassy in Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine,” Bassil tweeted, as quoted by Naharnet. “I raised with the Palestinian president the issue of exchanging land lots between Lebanon and Palestine to this end and he promised me to exert quick efforts to offer Lebanon a land lot in East Jerusalem,” Bassil continued. “God willing, the Cabinet should take a decision today,” the FM went on to say.
