Having promised revolution one week, Germany’s Social Democrats called it off the next, hoping that nobody would take much notice. As so often in contemporary German politics, rupture was averted for the sake of stability, open conflict exchanged for suppressed frustration, movement foregone for stasis. As recently as Nov. 30, the Social Democrats seemed dead set on quitting their loathed coalition with Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative bloc, after electing two leaders who had promised exactly that. Germany was to get a new government. The SPD would retreat into opposition to lick its wounds and regain its ideological purity. But as the SPD convenes today, that fervor has dissipated. The new co-leaders, Saskia Esken and Norbert Walter-Borjans, have miraculously turned from leftist firebrands into meek functionaries. Instead of reading their coalition partners the riot act, they’re merely suggesting policy tweaks — a higher minimum wage, more public investment, that sort of thing. President Trump on Friday said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is reviewing water efficiency standards, claiming that some people flush the toilet “10 times, 15 times” due to a lack of water pressure. “We have a situation where we’re looking very strongly at sinks and showers, and other elements of bathrooms,” Trump said during a small business roundtable at the White House. “You turn the faucet on … and you don’t get any water. They take a shower and water comes dripping out.” He added that “people are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once. They end up using more water. So EPA is looking at that.” TRUMP wants to deregulate water systems: "We have a situation where we're looking very strongly at sinks & showers...where you turn the faucet on you don't get any water. They take a shower & water comes dripping out...We are looking very seriously at opening up the standard" pic.twitter.com/VZpD1jXiND — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) December 6, 2019Trump also noted other bathroom fixtures have slowed water to a trickle. “You can’t wash your hands practically, there’s so little water comes out of the faucet, and the end result is you leave the faucet on and it takes you much longer to wash your hands, you end up using the same amount of water,” Trump said. Group wise yes, there is a significant fraction and maybe even a slight majority of Republicans who are better than the status quo in this country and would improve it if they were in charge. And there are more than that who could be educated to be an improvement. Yes it does no matter how many times you deny it and it has for a long time.

Yes there are. Yes they do, according to you they demand that we let them set our immigration policy or they will vote communist. And in reality they want free stuff and gun control and lots of other anti-liberty stuff. The H1B issue is not needless, we shouldn't be bringing in that many people because we can't assimilate the fast enough.

That's not what I called for. But some border security is better than facial recognition or getting sucked into a war or allowing an invasion.

LOL You'd love to make Americans submit to facial recognition. We don't need that. We need a militarized border so that we don't get sucked into a war down there.

the year-over-year wage growth is 3.1% with non-supervisory wages growing double the rate of supervisory wages. Also in November, 1.2 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force. This is a reduction of 432,000 from a year earlier. Those additional jobs are not counted in any labor report because those returning workers were previously not looking for employment; they came off the sidelines and entered the workforce. Iraq’s parliament on Thursday passed the law of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), as part of efforts by the Iraqi government and parliament to ease the tension of anti-government demonstrations demanding comprehensive reform in the political process. In a televised press conference, Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, told the reporters after the parliament session that the lawmakers approved the electoral commission draft, which will be chaired by a council of nine commissioners. He said that seven of the commissioners would be judges to be selected by lot to ensure transparency, and the two others to be chosen by the State Consultative Council. The Consultative Council is a judicial body administratively linked to the Ministry of Justice and represents the administrative judiciary in Iraq. According to al-Halbousi, the lawmakers also voted in favor of dissolving the current commissioners’ council, but left the staff in their jobs. The parliament is continuing its discussions to vote for a new elections law, and that the lawmakers are scheduled to vote on it next week after the end of discussions and agree on the final wording of the law, al-Halbousi added. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. The nightmare before Christmas has unfolded on Thursday, as Eskom made the surprise announcement that load shedding was returning from 16:00. Thanks guys, you always get us the best presents. Eskom have been warning of a “constrained system” throughout December, suggesting that a lack of generational power could cut the lights at any moment: Their prophecy has come true. Embattled California Rep. Duncan Hunter (R) announced on Friday he plans to resign from his seat. The announcement comes in the wake of the lawmaker’s decision to reverse course and plead guilty to charges of campaign finance violations. The move came months after Hunter’s wife and former campaign treasurer, Margaret Hunter, opted to change her plea to guilty earlier this year. "Shortly after the Holidays, I will resign from Congress. It has been an honor to serve the people of California's 50th District, and I greatly appreciate the trust they have put in me over these last 11 years," he said in a statement. The demographic shift can be halted or reversed but only if we get immigration under control. Messaging is good but you can't educate them as fast as they can come. And Asians are not good Republicans that just need to have their feet kissed right: In the summer of 2018, journalist Vivian Yee amused herself with the thought that Orange Country, California, was once an agricultural, “conservative (think Richard Nixon and the John Birch Society) and white (very, very white),” slice of America. But “Chinese and Korean immigrants, and Asian-Americans from other states,” she wrote on the eve of the midterm election, “have made Irvine nearly half Asian.” Asians, Yee noted, are reliably liberal on gun control, climate change, and public spending. Indeed, Michelle Malkin recently took a deeper dive on the same topic in these pages:According to the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, 78 percent of Asian voters surveyed showed strong support for stricter gun control laws. Half of Asian Americans said police are racist. The AALDEF survey found 65 percent showed support for illegal alien amnesty and the LGBT agenda. Enrollment in the Democratic Party was highest among South Asian ethnicities; 84 percent of Indo-Caribbean, 83 percent of Bangladeshi, 79 percent of Pakistani, and 64 percent of Asian Indian American voters were enrolled as Democrats, compared to 59 percent of all Asian Americans surveyed nationally. With the midterms at the time of Yee’s writing just over the colorful California horizon, Yee, along with the Democratic Party and left-wing intelligentsia, saw the writing on the wall. Five months later, analysis of the midterm vote by the Pew Research Center showed that 77 percent of Asians went for the Democratic candidate on the ballot, compared to 69 percent of Latinos and 90 percent of blacks. By November 17, all of Orange County had been delivered to the Democratic Party.

Rep. Justin Amash (I-Mich.) said Friday that he would vote for the articles of impeachment when House Democrats bring them to the House for a vote. Amash, who left the Republican party this summer, said on his way to the House floor that he believes that there is "sufficient evidence" against President Trump for obstruction of Congress, obstruction of justice and abuse of power, though he said he would have to see how each of the articles were written before he would vote yes, CNN reports. "Impeachment is like an indictment. We're just issuing the charges," he continued. "The trial happens in the Senate. There's certainly probable cause to issue charges." The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency has reversed course on plans to submit Americans to compulsory biometric scans at airports across the country, following a wave of intense pushback to the privacy-eroding proposal. “There are no current plans to require US citizens to provide photographs upon entry and exit from the United States,” a CBP spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday. “CBP intends to have the planned regulatory action regarding US citizens removed from the unified agenda next time it is published.” Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) has been another vocal opponent of the government’s use of biometrics, discussing new bipartisan legislation “designed to protect your privacy from unwarranted facial-recognition surveillance” in an address to the Brookings Institution on Thursday. I enjoyed speaking at Brookings this morning with my friend Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE). We talked about our new legislation designed to protect your privacy from unwarranted facial-recognition surveillance. pic.twitter.com/FsD5fMIOsp — Mike Lee (@SenMikeLee) December 5, 2019 Other lawmakers across the aisle have expressed similar concerns, with Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) noting earlier this year that his office was working with top Democrats to draft “the right kind of legislation” to reign in the technology. Jordan is a ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, which itself has led some of the resistance to federal face scans.

Far-left activists are letting the mask slip, and admitting that their plan is to use demographics to replace America’s white majority and create a grievance-based voting bloc that will usher in radical socialism. Panelists admitted the demographic reality during the first day of the We Are Democracy 2019 Conference, which is still ongoing in Washington D.C. right now. Guests of the conference are speaking about social justice issues and discussing strategies on how to spread the far-left agenda. “So that when we get to 2042 or 2045, whatever year you want to use, that we actually will not be suffering from what other countries like South Africa had, which is having the numbers but not having the power,” said Judith Browne Dianis, who works as the executive director of the National Office for the Advancement Project. “We want… You know, people say demographics are not destiny. Well, we’re trying to make it destiny so that’s the work that we are doing,” she added to a response of “Amen!” from former Obama administration official Stephanie Valencia, who was leading the panel. The exchange can be seen here: Wait I thought they said this was just a conspiracy theory? pic.twitter.com/fn3U99x781 — zyntrax (@zyntrax) December 6, 2019
