1)Bernie is not a Non Interventionist. He is pro Foreign Aid & he supports Israel. He only hates Bibi because he hates all "Right wingers". 2)FDR was a communist who destroyed our nation. His presidency moved the Republican Party to the left. If Bernie sanders gets his programs, We will never repeal them & the Republican Party will move even further left.

Nigerian police have rescued 24 babies and four expectant mothers from an illegal maternity home in the southern oil city of Port Harcourt, a spokesman said Thursday."In a covert operation on Tuesday, our men burst a child trafficking syndicate at Woji in Port Harcourt where 24 babies between the ages of one and two, and four pregnant teenagers were rescued," Nnamdi Omoni told AFP. He said the victims were looking "frail and malnourished" and had been hospitalised while investigations were ongoing to find those responsible for the facility. Police raids on illegal maternity units -- dubbed "baby factories" -- have been relatively common in Nigeria, especially in the south. The "factories" are usually small facilities parading as private medical clinics that house pregnant women and offer their babies for sale. In some cases, young women have allegedly been held against their will and raped, with their newborns sold on the black market. The European Union blacklisted two Turkish nationals as retaliation over Ankara’s energy drilling off Cyprus in a move that has more political symbolism than economic punch. The EU asset freezes and travel bans on two employees of Turkish Petroleum Corp. make good on the bloc’s months-long vow to counter Turkey’s oil and natural-gas exploration in waters that are part of the exclusive economic zone of member country Cyprus. The sanctions also are the first of their kind in response to the actions of a nation seeking to join the EU. At the same time, the decision by EU governments in Brussels stops short of targeting any Turkish companies. This reflects a desire to avoid antagonizing a key ally in the fight to prevent Middle East migration, particularly from war-torn Syria. “Hanging in the balance is a possible influx of Syrian refugees into Europe,” said Michael Emerson of the CEPS think tank in the Belgian capital. “It’s a highly sensitive political issue in the EU.” The two people sanctioned by the EU on Thursday are Mehmet Ferruh Akalin, vice-president of Turkish Petroleum, and Ali Coscun Namoglu, the deputy director of the company’s exploration department, the bloc said in its decision. Arizona’s Maricopa County officially declared itself a ‘Second Amendment Preservation County’ with a vote by its board of supervisors Wednesday, making the Phoenix-area county the largest jurisdiction in the nation to align itself with the growing Second Amendment Sanctuary movement. Maricopa County includes the vast Phoenix metro area and a population of 4.3 million people. It’s the fourth largest county by population in the entire United States. The Second Amendment Preservation declaration voted upon by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is largely a symbolic gesture. The resolution initially prevented any county funds from being used to infringe on gun rights, a provision that was dropped from the declaration. If that was his position he'd have us at war with Iran by now. That may come, but if he tried for it now the courts would let her off the way the FBI did. He gutted it and his DoJ is helping get the courts to find it unconstitutional in its entirety. That may change, he is going against FISA now.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner recommends boiling water for the next 24 hours and is asking residents to conserve water. Turner said water pressure will continue to be low over the next several hours, including in the downtown area and some portions of the Med Center, and in Midtown, Montrose, the Museum District, The Heights, Timbergrove and the Memorial Park area. He said the 35-year-old line has been capped on both ends, but the water line will continue to drain and it will likely be late Thursday before repairs are completed. "Our goal is to move as quickly as possible," Turner said. The eight-foot water line that broke provides water to 50 percent of the city.

The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) has registered a criminal case on pressure from former U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden on former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin. "The SBI has added information on the criminal offence to the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations," Shokin's lawyer Oleksandr Teleshetsky said during a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency on February 27. The case was opened under an appeal from Shokin. The court obliged the SBI to register the proceeding. In his motion, Shokin spoke of pressure put on him by Biden, Teleshetsky said. "The reason for the pressure was the investigation being conducted by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine into grave crimes of international corruption linked with the activities of former Ecology Minister of Ukraine Mykola Zlochevsky and top managers at the Burisma company," he said. Shokin's motion was filed with the State Bureau of Investigations back on January 28, 2020, but information about the criminal offence was added to the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations only on February 24 after the country ordered the bureau to register the case, Teleshetsky said. The case was opened under Part 2 of Article 343 (on the charge of interfering in the work of an official of a law enforcement agency), he said. Pope Francis has come down with a “slight indisposition,” forcing him to cancel a planned Mass in Rome, just a day after he expressed his solidarity with coronavirus sufferers around the world — and as the disease continues to spread across Italy. The illness has forced the 82-year-old pontiff to nix a penitential Mass, marking the start of Lent, that he’d planned to celebrate at the St. John Lateran basilica across town with Roman clergy, the Vatican said. Francis will proceed with the rest of his planned work Thursday, but “preferred to stay near Santa Marta,” the Vatican hotel where he lives, officials said. The Vatican has not specified the nature of the pope’s illness, but he was seen coughing and blowing his nose during Ash Wednesday Mass. Meanwhile, 400 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Italy, and 12 people have died. Most of the cases have been reported in northern Italy. Three cases were reported in Rome, but each person has already recovered. More at: https://nypost.com/2020/02/27/pope-francis-sick-a-day-after-supporting-coronavirus-sufferers/?utm_me

Turkey has decided to immediately open its southern border with Syria and allow Syrian refugees free passage to Europe for the next 72 hours, Turkish official sources told Middle East Eye. A senior Turkish official said Syrian refugees destined to Europe won't be stopped either on land or by sea. The official said Ankara ordered police, gendarmerie, border guards and sea guards to stand down on Thursday, if they detected any Syrian refugees trying to cross into Europe. The decision came following a security meeting chaired by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan late on Thursday. Turkish forces suffered heavy casualties on Thursday when dozens of troops were hit by an airstrike in northeastern Syria apparently ordered by the Syrian government. The New York Times reported Thursday that at least 22 Turkish soldiers were killed in an airstrike on a Turkish observation post in Syria, with one Syrian aid agency telling the Times that the number of fatalities could be as high as 34. A convoy resupplying the post was attacked, Turkish officials told the Times, before the post itself was hit by the airstrike. No Syrian forces on either side of the conflict were injured in the attack, according to the newspaper. Trump Aggressively Courting Black Votes Great news from the Washington Examiner: President Trump is opening 15 urban campaign field offices in an aggressive bid to improve his performance with black voters, who for decades have been an overwhelmingly Democratic constituency. Sleek and situated in retail shopping districts to generate foot traffic, this unique collection of regional “community centers” is a critical component of the Trump campaign’s multimillion-dollar strategy to double in 2020 the 8% support the president received from black voters nearly four years ago. Where will these “community centers” be? Five offices are slated for Florida: Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and Miami. In North Carolina, branches are opening in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greensboro. Others will be located in Atlanta, Detroit, Columbus, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee. President Trump has good rapport with African-Americans, who in general are not enthused about the current crop of Democratic candidates. Jared Kushner makes a fundamental point: “You’re never going to get the votes you don’t ask for,” said Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and close adviser. “Last time, it was, ‘What the hell do you have to lose?’ Now, we’re going to show them what they’ve gained from President Trump and what more they can gain if they get four more years.” The Examiner quotes Trump campaign sources to the effect that the president is already polling around 20% among blacks. The Democrats’ reaction to all of this is entertaining: Josh Schwerin, a spokesman for Priorities USA…seemed less concerned that Trump could boost black support than that his campaign and other Republicans would commit what he regards as “suppression” of the black vote — either through legislation in the states or subversive messaging that demonizes the eventual Democratic nominee.
