I would have never voted for a war criminal like George W Bush but I voted for Trump. Trump has a good instinct on Foreign Policy. OK they are Partisan Republicans who like both Trump & Bush but many Trump supporters hate George W Bush. Does this sound like George W Bush? He sounds more like Ron Paul

HB961 has just been passed by for the YEAR so it is off of the table for the current session and sent to the crime commission to be studied. Not exactly what we wanted, but at least it won't be going through this session.

What is your risk to get infected coronavirus? East Asians, Japanese, and Han Chinese are the most likely people to become severely sick by the coronavirus with a chance of more than 90% when exposed. Europeans only rank in the 50%, Africans in the 60% range, and considered low to medium. It also makes a difference if one is a smoker or non-smoker. The Travel and Tourism industry is in turmoil. Tourism leaders don’t want anyone to panic, but the story doesn’t yet have an end to it. At the same time, researchers are working around the clock to learn more about the deadly virus. Recent studies may explain why Europe, America had no deadly cases of the virus, and no coronavirus cases at all were reported from Africa. Stopping travel may not be the solution and could only mean travel businesses could become collateral damage in the fight against coronavirus. The World Health Organization always said “do not stop travel and commerce.”, even after WHO declared a global epidemic emergency. Why is this? The novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) was identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in December of 2019. This new coronavirus has resulted in thousands of cases of lethal disease in China, with additional patients being identified in a rapidly growing number internationally.

SCOTUS ruled that social media was the public square unanimously. When it meant states couldn't ban sex predators. They don't seem interested in applying the public square principle to decent people.

Last year, Ben Zhao decided to buy an Alexa-enabled Echo speaker for his Chicago home. Zhao just wanted a digital assistant to play music, but his wife, Heather Zheng, was not enthused. “She freaked out,” he said. Zheng characterized her reaction differently. First she objected to having the device in their house, she said. Then, when Zhao put the Echo in a workspace they shared, she made her position perfectly clear: “I said, ‘I don’t want that in the office. Please unplug it. I know the microphone is constantly on.’” Zhao and Zheng are computer science professors at the University of Chicago, and they decided to channel their disagreement into something productive. With the help of an assistant professor, Pedro Lopes, they designed a piece of digital armor: a “bracelet of silence” that will jam the Echo or any other microphones in the vicinity from listening in on the wearer’s conversations. The bracelet is like an anti-smartwatch, both in its cyberpunk aesthetic and in its purpose of defeating technology. A large, somewhat ungainly white cuff with spiky transducers, the bracelet has 24 speakers that emit ultrasonic signals when the wearer turns it on. The sound is imperceptible to most ears, with the possible exception of young people and dogs, but nearby microphones will detect the high-frequency sound instead of other noises. “It’s so easy to record these days,” Lopes said. “This is a useful defense. When you have something private to say, you can activate it in real time. When they play back the recording, the sound is going to be gone.” During a phone interview, Lopes turned on the bracelet, resulting in static-like white noise for the listener on the other end. Last week the Fake News said that a section of our powerful, under construction, Southern Border Wall “fell over”, trying to make it sound terrible, except the reason was that the concrete foundation was just poured & soaking wet when big winds kicked in. Quickly fixed “forever”. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 16, 2020

Last week we reminded readers that unless Beijing manages to contain the coronavirus epidemic, China faces a fate far worse than just reported its first ever 0% (or negative) GDP print in history. For those who missed it, here it is again: back in November, we reported that as part of a stress test conducted by China's central bank in the first half of 2019, 30 medium- and large-sized banks were tested; In the base-case scenario, assuming GDP growth dropped to 5.3% - nine out of 30 major banks failed and saw their capital adequacy ratio drop to 13.47% from 14.43%. In the worst-case scenario, assuming GDP growth dropped to 4.15%, some 2% below the latest official GDP print, more than half of China's banks, or 17 out of the 30 major banks failed the test. Needless to say, the implications for a Chinese financial system - whose size is roughly $41 trillion - having over $20 trillion in "problematic" bank assets, would be dire. Well, with GDP set to print negative if Goldman is right (with risk clearly to the downside as China's economy remains completely paralyzed)... ... every single Chinese bank is set to fail a "hypothetical" stress test, and the immediate result is an exponential surge in bad debt. The result, as we discussed in detail last week, is that the bad loan ratio at the nation's 30 biggest banks would soar at least five-fold, and potentially far, far more, flooding the country with trillions in non-performing loans, and unleashing a tsunami of bank defaults. Of course, regular readers are well aware that China's banks are already suffering record loan defaults as the economy last year expanded at the slowest pace in three decades while bankruptcies soared. As extensively covered here previously, the slump tore through the nation’s $41 trillion banking system, forcing not only the first bank seizure in two decades as Baoshang Bank was nationalized , but also bailouts at Bank of Jinzhou, China's Heng Feng Bank, as well as two very troubling bank runs at China's Henan Yichuan Rural Commercial Bank at the start of the month, and then more recently at Yingkou Coastal Bank. All that may be a walk in the park compared to what is coming next. "The banking industry is taking a big hit," You Chun, a Shanghai-based analyst at National Institution for Finance & Development told Bloomberg. "The outbreak has already damaged China’s most vibrant small businesses and if it prolongs, many firms will go under and be unable to repay their loans."

Michael Bloomberg has taken the lead in a new national poll of the Democratic presidential primary, suggesting that the party may actually sell its nomination to the radical authoritarian oligarch. The poll from Rasmussen Reports, released on Friday, has the former New York City mayor taking 26% support from national Democratic likely primary voters. Joe Biden comes in second with 22%, and Bernie Sanders comes in third with 18%. The poll is possibly a sign of the strength of Bloomberg’s candidacy, which has adopted an approach of almost openly buying the support of prominent Democrats and carpet-bombing the airwaves of Super Tuesday states with unprecedented levels of campaign ad spending. Bloomberg wasn’t even on the ballot in the Iowa Caucuses or New Hampshire primary, so his strength is real electoral contests is yet to be demonstrated. But it’s clear the ultra-billionaire, with a whopping net worth of more than $50 billion dollars, is a serious contender for the nomination, even though he shamelessly intends to buy it. There are no pros, it's unconstitutional. The cons aren't just partisan, the inhabitants of DC are all dependent on government in a much bigger way than most communist Demoncrats and giving more power to any communists is a con that isn't partisan.

On February 13, 2020, Michigan Congressman Justin Amash endorsed the idea of establishing an Equal Rights Amendment. Under the ERA, the government would allegedly guarantee equal legal rights for all Americans regardless of their sex. Amash tweeted, “Equality before the law is fundamental to the Rule of Law and foundational to liberty. The Constitution exists to protect our liberty, so I have long advocated including a federal equal protection clause in the Constitution.” He added, “Drafting a new nondiscrimination amendment would allow us to enshrine our modern understanding of equal protection as preventing all arbitrary discrimination by government, and it would allow states to consider the proposal without being under a constitutionally dubious deadline.”

No, the founders specifically made DC a special domain of Congress so that no state government could have excessive influence on the federal government as New York had been accused of. This is unconstitutional, DC can NEVER be a state.
