    Trump has clearly made an alliance with some Israeli aligned factions, he has to have allies until he gains more power on his own. But this deal is clearly an attempt to be relatively balanced and improve things for everyone within the limits of what the Israelis would agree to, the only way the arabs will get something better is if they win a war with Israel.

    A very good reason, they refused to have anything to do with it before they even knew what was in it because they don't want peace, they make too much money and have too much power by taking advantage of their people's victim status.

    Just more recognition of long accomplished fact. We don't keep trying to pretend that the government of Taiwan is the government of China either. And Congress passed the law about it long ago.

    All Trump did was recognize a long accomplished fact regarding the Golan Heights, Israel is NEVER going to give them up, recognizing that may have helped convince them to agree to more concessions for this deal. Trump doesn't control Israel and isn't going to attack them to make them do what he says so he has to deal with what they are willing to do. This is a big improvement over the status quo. They are right to think it over and try to negotiate, but rejecting it out of hand and refusing to talk is just stupid.

    Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE on Tuesday issued statements welcoming the Trump administration's peace plan."The Kingdom reiterates its support for all efforts aimed at reaching a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian cause," said the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "The kingdom appreciates the efforts of President Trump's administration to develop a comprehensive peace plan between the Palestinian and the Israeli sides, and encourages the start of direct peace negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, under the auspices of the United States," the statement reads. It also called to resolve any disagreements with aspects of the plan through negotiations, "to move forward the peace process to reach an agreement that achieves legitimate rights of the Palestinian people."Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman told Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that "our position towards the Palestinian issue has not changed, all the Arabs and us are with you. The establishment of a just and comprehensive peace must be worked for. Peace is a strategic choice that will bring a permanent solution that will fulfill the rights of the Palestinian people," according to Channel 13. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a similar statement, calling the sides to consider the plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. "The Arab Republic of Egypt appreciates the continuous efforts exerted by the US administration to achieve a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, thereby contributing to the stability and security of the Middle East, ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," the ministry said Tuesday. "Egypt recognizes the importance of considering the US administration's initiative from the perspective of the importance of achieving the resolution of the Palestinian issue, thus restoring to the Palestinian people their full legitimate rights through the establishment of a sovereign independent state in the Palestinian occupied territories in accordance with international legitimacy and resolutions," the statement reads. It went on to call the two sides "to undertake a careful and thorough consideration of the US vision to achieve peace and open channels of dialogue, under US auspices, for the resumption of negotiations to present their respective views on reaching an agreement that satisfies the aspirations of both peoples to achieve a comprehensive and just peace and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state." The Qatari News Agency released a statement, saying that "the State welcomes all efforts aiming towards a longstanding and just peace in the occupied Palestinian territories." "It also appreciates the endeavors of President Trump and the current US administration to find solutions for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, all solutions should be consistent with international law and the relevant UN resolutions," the statement continues.

    Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee and Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee have formerly requested that Attorney General William Barr declassify four footnotes in Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s FISA abuse investigation. The letter states that the classified footnotes contradict information in Horowitz’s report that appears to have misled the public. U.S. Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, sent the classified letter Tuesday evening and questioned the contradiction between the footnotes and what was made public by Horowitz’s team regarding the bureau’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation. However, the Senator’s did not disclose what section of the December FISA report contradicts the footnotes in their findings. The Senator’s state in their letter to Barr that certain sections of Horowitz’s report on the FBI are misleading the public.

    In light of growing speculation, most of it within less than official circles, that the official theory for the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic, namely because someone ate bat soup at a Wuhan seafood and animal market... ... is a fabricated farce, and that the real reason behind the viral spread is because a weaponized version of the coronavirus (one which may have originally been obtained from Canada), was released by Wuhan's Institute of Virology (accidentally or not), a top-level biohazard lab which was studying "the world's most dangerous pathogens", perhaps it would be a good idea for the same Wuhan Institute of Virology to remove the following "help wanted" notice, posted on November 18, 2019, according to which the institute is seeking to hire one or two post-doc fellows, who will use "bats to research the molecular mechanism that allows Ebola and SARS-associated coronaviruses to lie dormant for a long time without causing diseases." The right candidate will: Have obtained or is about to obtain a PhD in life science/biomedical related fields; Have a reliable and rigorous work style, with strong independent scientific research ability and teamwork spirit;

    Traditionally, one of the most unpleasant jobs in the military has been ammunition haulers. The task involves basically truck driving coupled with the excitement of moving shells designed to explode, causing maximum damage to everything around them. Now the U.S. Army could eliminate that job altogether while still getting front-line units the artillery shells they need—by giving the job to robots. The concept, known as Field Artillery Autonomous Resupply, envisions convoys of robotic vehicles snaking their way across roads, trails, and rough terrain, shuttling loads of 155-millimeter artillery shells to frontline forces. These convoys would run from battalion supply areas—where food, ammunition, and medical supplies are stockpiled—out into the field to artillery units conducting fire missions. The Army Applications Library, along with the Army Futures Command, is pushing the industry to come up with a robotic solution to the artillery resupply problem. They point out that the mission of resupplying frontline artillery units with shells really hasn’t changed for more than a century, while commercial logistics and supply chain practices look nearly unrecognizable 100 years later. If Amazon is working to use autonomous flying drones to make deliveries, why isn’t the Army using drones to deliver shells to the battlefield? While the Army probably won’t use quadcopters to deliver shells any time soon—each M107 155-millimeter high explosive shell weighs 94 pounds—a low-profile, cabless truck would be perfect for the job. The truck would home in on a signal broadcast by the artillery unit, then use AI to plot a course using existing roads and trails, ideally taking into account reports of enemy activity to ensure the smoothest and safest possible ride. A convoy of such vehicles could use GPS to effectively space themselves out across a road, ensuring that a sudden air or artillery strike doesn’t take out the entire convoy. Once at the artillery unit reaches its location, a robotic arm could lift shells out of their crates and into the storage racks located in the cab of the howitzer, sparing soldiers the need to lift heavy shells. In what they acknowledged is a long-shot bid, West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice and Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. urged unhappy Virginia counties Tuesday to secede and join a neighboring state where Democrats aren't in charge. Both Justice, a Republican in a state where the GOP dominates the legislature, and Falwell, whose university is in Lynchburg, Virginia, said the invitation to join West Virginia sends a valid message. “If you're not truly happy where you are, we stand with open arms to take you from Virginia or anywhere where you may be," said Justice, who's running for reelection. “We stand strongly behind the Second Amendment and we stand strongly for the unborn.” Lawmakers in West Virginia have introduced formal resolutions inviting parts of Virginia to join their state. One resolution targets Virginia's Frederick County, but was met with a shrug from the county's leader. The other casts a wider net to all Virginia's counties, saying the “government at Richmond now seeks to place intolerable restraints upon the rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.” “We saw their way of life under attack and we wanted to offer assistance,” said Del. Gary Howell, a West Virginia Republican who sponsored one of the resolutions. The process by which such a breakup could occur is murky, but Falwell said lawyers have told him counties in Virginia would first need to conduct petition drives. Then a referendum would be held, and if successful, the proposal would go before Virginia's General Assembly.

    On Friday, GOP Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced new academic standards for the state, shoving out the Common Core standards that had been implemented in the state in 2010, just one year after he started pushing for jettisoning those standards. DeSantis stated, “Today we’re announcing that mission has been accomplished. It goes beyond Common Core to embrace common sense.” He added, “We need to measure results… but you need to do that in a way that makes sense.” As TampaBay.com reported, “The new standards will be called the BEST Standards, which stands for the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking. Although the standards themselves were not made publicly available on Friday — DeSantis promised they would be online in a week — the Florida Department of Education released summary documents that outline some of the major changes ahead.” Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran said on Friday, “When you’re trying to remember what’s four times four, and you have to think about it and it’s not automatic, you’re never going to be able to conquer algebra and all those other courses.” Another significant change: students in high school will be taught how to balance their checkbooks and apply for loans in an attempt to teach them financial literacy. That course had heretofore been offered as an elective, not a required course. Additionally, instead of reading “chunks” of books, meaning excerpts from great books, the new program urges the reading of complete books. Either the SAT and ACT would be required for high school students, as well as the Florida Civic Literacy Test for seniors, which TampaBay.com describes as a “100-question exam to encompass the U.S. citizenship exam plus questions about landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases.” More at: https://www.dailywire.com/news/fl-gov-desantis-announces-new-academic-standards-kicks-out-common-core

    An internal divide in the Trump administration over American aid to Lebanon is reaching a breaking point as Lebanon forms a government controlled by the Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon. The State Department's concession to Congress that it would commit to halting financial aid to Lebanon if U.S. taxpayer dollars go to Hezbollah is now being brought to the forefront. That guarantee from the State Department is fueling a growing push to freeze all aid in light of Hezbollah's unprecedented takeover of the Lebanese government, sources confirmed. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), who has led a battle on Capitol Hill against unconditional assistance to Lebanon, recently wrenched promises from the administration to halt the aid if it is shown Hezbollah is the beneficiary, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter. David Hale, the State Department's undersecretary of state for political affairs, drew a red line in recent meetings with Lebanese officials, telling them the Trump administration would deny aid to any Lebanese government controlled by Hezbollah, according to Lebanese media reports. According to documents viewed by the Free Beacon, Cruz leveraged the nomination of Dorothy Shea, the State Department nominee to be the next ambassador to Lebanon, to obtain a written commitment that the United States will ensure that "assistance does not benefit Hezbollah" and that even locally targeted aid will only go to municipalities that "are not controlled by Hezbollah or any other designated foreign terrorist organization." "I am committed to implementing the law and U.S. policies as directed, including ensuring that U.S. assistance does not benefit Hezbollah or any other terrorist group," Shea wrote, according to a copy of her written answers obtained by the Free Beacon. "This process verifies that select municipal councils proposed to benefit from assistance are not controlled by Hezbollah or any other designated foreign terrorist organization," Shea said. Cruz is reportedly circulating legislation that would prohibit funding to any Hezbollah-controlled government.

    All US deliveries of weapons and ammunition to Iraqi security forces have been suspended, amid rising tensions over the US presence in Iraq following the drone assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad. The halt includes the US Air Force’s program of supplying parts and missiles to Iraq’s fleet of F-16 fighter-bombers, the news portal Inside Defense reported on Monday. After prior widespread state cyber-espionage operations were revealed connected to both Iran and Saudi Arabia in the past months, a new bombshell Reuters investigation has exposed a new alleged Turkish government-linked hacking operation which has targeted organizations across Europe and the Middle East for the past two years. Citing multiple senior Western defense and security officials as well as public internet records the new report concludes at least 30 organizations ranging from government ministries to embassies to international companies have been targeted by hackers who appear to be doing the bidding of Turkey. Notably the Greek and Cypriot governments and their state email services have topped the list of targets. The Cypriot government confirmed it was targeted as part of the operation but did not give details. Iraq's government, specifically national security offices, were also identified in the report as a prime target. Security officials said that infrastructure registered in Turkey was used in the hacks, but did not reveal further details related to confidential intelligence assessments. But interestingly, at least one entity inside Turkey itself was allegedly hacked - a Turkish chapter of the Freemasons said to have ties to US-based Turkish opposition cleric Fethullah Gulen.

    A tsunami warning is in effect in Jamaica, Cuba and the Cayman Islands following a massive 7.7-magnitude earthquake in the Caribbean. The quake struck at 2.10pm EST in the strait between Jamaica and Cuba. Its epicenter was about 72 miles northwest of Lucea, Jamaica, and 87 miles southwest of Niquero, Cuba, at a depth of 6.2 miles, according to the US Geological Survey. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said waves up to 3.5-feet high are possible along the coasts of Belize, Cuba, Honduras, Mexico, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. No damage or injuries have been confirmed but there are widespread reports of people feeling the tremor throughout Jamaica and Cuba, where buildings were evacuated, and as far away as Miami.
