That will have consequences here... Those that grow the weed there will know that RISK is the biggest influencer on the price of their product. They will look to move their pot across the border to the states in which pot is still illegal. Our ONLY REAL DEFENSE is to LEGALIZE IT HERE, which will keep their prices DOWN and remove the incentive to sell it here as opposed to Mexico.

+Rep I believe it is more important to support the Right of others to express the opinion that we do NOT agree with rather than only support the voice of those we DO agree with. Only upholding those that agree with the "official narrative" is one of the ways we have gotten to the point we are in today. The other ways include but are not limited to Money, as Money really does talk and bullshit walks. There are 5 companies that control over 90% of the Media. That used to be 6 companies, but Disney bought Fox, so we are reduced to 5. Thing is, that number is effectively ONE, and that ONE singular power controlling 90% of what you see and hear has a disproportionate level of influence on the vulnerable minds of the uninformed. One thing I have always hoped for is a voice out there that teaches people HOW to protect the mind from the influence of all the bullshit that is out there. Sorry, off topic, back to Joe Rogan and Alex Jones....

Trump Rewrites H-1B Program to Help American White-Collar Workers

President Donald Trump’s deputies have launched a fundamental reform of the H-1B visa system to protect American graduates from outsourcing — despite furious opposition from donors and leaders from Silicon Valley, Fortune 500 companies, and coastal investors. The reform will end the annual award of 85,000 H-1B visas by lottery, which has been gamed by companies to import foreign workers at wages far below the salaries needed by American professionals. Instead, the visas will be offered to the companies that compete to offer the highest salaries, preventing employers from undercutting American graduates. “The Trump administration is continuing to deliver on its promise to protect the American worker while strengthening the economy,” said Acting DHS Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli. “The current use of random selection to allocate H-1B visas … hurts American workers by bringing in relatively lower-paid foreign labor at the expense of the American workforce.” “We have seen more progress in the last few weeks than we’ve seen in the last 30 years,” said Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Workers, which opposes the H-1B and other visa worker programs. He continued: If you look at it on the whole, Trump is side with working Americans. Look at the beginning of his administration when he canceled the Trans-Pacific Partnership. All the elites wanted that — he said no. He allowed labor into NAFTA II — the USMCA — and they made a better deal for working man and women. On August 3, for the Tennessee Valley Authority, he used the authority he had to protect those white-collar jobs . So he’s clearly made a choice between the elites and working men and women.

I would vote Trump, he has a small chance of taking CA and we need to send a message with the popular vote as well as the EC. Your safety is your business to decide about but letting people intimidate you to not vote as you otherwise would is not a good idea.

The Environmental Protection Agency has asked the Justice Department to investigate allegations that U.S. environmental groups have received covert funding from China and Russia. EPA administrator Andrew Wheeler made the request after Rep. Lance Gooden (R., Texas) alleged that left-wing environmental groups—including the Sea Change Foundation, Sunrise Movement, and Sierra Club—have functioned as conduits for "foreign influence, financial involvement, and election interference." Wheeler noted that it is not against the law for a nonprofit to take contributions from foreign entities but nonetheless asked the DOJ to look into whether the groups should register as foreign agents. "Given heightened concerns that foreign countries, primarily China and Russia, are potentially funding U.S.-based ‘green' groups to undermine American energy independence and to help maintain the integrity of the EPA's decision-making, EPA will refer this matter to the DOJ Unit," Wheeler said. "The DOJ can then determine what appropriate steps to take, if any, including whether those entities should be registered as foreign agents." Gooden's allegations follow calls from other Republican lawmakers to investigate the anonymous funding of green groups for potential foreign influence. In September, Rep. Liz Cheney (R., Wyo.) asked the DOJ to investigate whether Russia and China are working to infiltrate environmental groups as a way of influencing U.S. policy. Is there a right to carry a weapon into the Michigan State House? Trump supporters think there is, and the president is recruiting an army of poll watchers, potentially armed, to stand guard over his interests on Election Day. Expanding gun rights is not just a theoretical exercise, it’s happening. And with Amy Coney Barrett likely to soon sit on the Supreme Court, the welcome mat is out for gun rights activists to test the limits of what might be possible in a gun-friendly 6-3 Supreme Court. Barrett sent a powerful signal in her dissent last year in Kanter v Barr in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, where she argued that non-violent felons should not lose their right to acquire arms, as currently required by law, though she is fine with felons losing their right to vote. Her dissent put her to the right of dozens of Republican-appointed judges across the country who have upheld the prohibition on felons having guns, and even to the right of her mentor, the late Justice Antonin Scalia. Once confirmed, Barrett would likely be the fifth vote on the Supreme Court to strike down gun safety regulations Scalia had pointedly allowed even as he established for the first time in constitutional law with District of Columbia v Heller in 2008 an individual’s right to bear arms. If anything needs to be made illegal, it should be using the Govt as a weaponized tool of oppression. Those that would use ANY form of Govt to cause harm to others intentionally should be confined to their own prisons they have crafted to punish absolutely normal behaviors.

The latest survey of consumers from the University of Michigan — its “Preliminary Results for October 2020” — just released showed “gains in economic prospects for the year ahead,” according to its authors. And that’s just the beginning of the reports issued last week and those coming this final full week before election day. In September its Index of Consumer Sentiment was 80.4; a month later it is 81.2. Its Index of Consumer Expectations for September was 75.6; for October it’s 78.8. When the results are broken down by political party, “Trump still held an advantage over Biden,” the same advantage he held in September, according to the UMich survey. The “flash” (preliminary) output, services, and manufacturing indices from the data firm IHS Markit on Friday each showed 20-month highs, with its author reporting: “U.S. output growth regained growth momentum in October, as business activity rose at the fastest rate for 20 months, and business optimism improved markedly. The upturn was largely driven by service providers, though manufacturing firms also reported a further solid increase in production.” Chris Williamson, chief business economist at IHS Markit, added:

In Syria, the United States appears to be shifting away from its maximum isolation strategy toward limited engagement with Damascus in order to secure the gains it’s made in the country toward preventing an Islamic State resurgence. On Oct. 18, The Wall Street Journal reported that the top White House counterterrorism official, Kash Patel, had traveled to Syria earlier this year to participate in direct negotiations regarding the release of American journalist Austin Tice and other U.S. citizens who are being held hostage by the Syrian government. The report also said Patel delivered a personal letter from U.S. President Donald Trump to Syrian President Bashar al Assad in March, breaking nearly a decade of diplomatic isolation between the two governments. ...
