So, uh, whats their plan? Get more people infected so they can test the vaccine then? Or just flat out skip tests and go directly to the cemetary? --- Not really related to this thread, but COVID in general... Think we are at CRISIS stage yet?

The hunt for a coronavirus vaccine has begun dominating the news. It isn’t just Bill Gates or Dr. Anthony Fauci driving the narrative anymore. With at least 224 vaccines in development and rising, the hunt has turned into a race between competing pharmaceutical companies and university research centers who are trying to cash in on the coronavirus crisis. Whoever lands the prize will be set in this history books and receive financial rewards like no other research project has garnered in history. The stakes are high. Now, the narrative is shifting. It isn’t because herd immunity, shifting weather, declining death rates, and other factors are reducing the need, though all might be the case. No, the challenge they’re claiming is that there aren’t enough infected people to properly test vaccines. Low virus rate leaves Oxford vaccine trial with ‘only 50% chance’ This week, pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca announced a $US1.2 billion deal with the United States to produce 400 million doses of an unproven coronavirus vaccine first produced in Hill’s small Oxford lab. The British government has agreed to pay for up to 100 million doses, announcing that 30 million might be ready for British citizens as soon as September. The stakes could hardly be higher. If proven effective, the ZD1222 vaccine would allow people to leave their homes and go back to work, and the shattered global economy to rebuild. But Hill, director of the university’s Jenner Institute, revealed his team now faced a major problem, throwing the September deadline into doubt. “It is a race, yes. But it’s not a race against the other guys. It’s a race against the virus disappearing, and against time,” he said. “At the moment, there’s a 50 per cent chance that we get no result at all.”

The border tensions between China and India have escalated once again, after hundreds of Chinese troops crossed into Indian territory. Soldiers of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) breached the Indian border at multiple locations in the northern Himalayan region of Ladakh, Indian media reports said on Saturday. “Chinese had managed to come well inside the Indian territory and are also conducting aggressive patrols with motor boats in the Pangong lake,” Indian broadcaster NDTV reported. “The Chinese troops crossed 3 km into what India perceives to be its territory South East of the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh,” Indian news website The Print confirmed. The Chinese detained several Indian soldiers during the incursion. “An Indian patrol party was detained and later released by Chinese forces,” NDTV reported. The Indian military refused to comment on the incident. More at: https://legalinsurrection.com/2020/05/chinese-troops-cross-into-india-fortify-positions/

The Italian government announced Sunday it is recruiting 60,000 volunteer “civic assistants” as informants to report on anyone violating norms concerning the use of masks and social distancing. The government is recruiting unemployed citizens, especially those who receive social security or unemployment income, as an extension of its uniformed security services during the second phase of the coronavirus lockdown, Italian media reported. The plainclothes informants have received instructions to watch for abuses of state-mandated safety norms and to report on violators. The new measure is meant to prevent citizens from being tempted to slack off in compliance with government norms just because no uniformed police are present, since anyone could be an informant. The deployment of the army of “civic assistants” is reminiscent of measures taken by Italian mayors, such as Rome mayor Virginia Raggi, during the first phase of the lockdown. Ms. Raggi set up a special website where Italians could snitch on their neighbors if they saw them failing to comply with the established norms. The measure met with considerable opposition, with some suggesting that the move typical of the dark days of national fascism. The new measure was announced Sunday in a joint statement signed by the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies Francesco Boccia and the Mayor of Bari (Puglia), Antonio Decaro, who serves as the President of the National Association of Italian Municipalities.

A new study from scientists in the United States suggests that a significant majority of the population may already have some level of immunity to the coronavirus, a possible explanation for why so many individuals seem to experience few to no symptoms from the disease. The study, written by researchers in California, New York and North Carolina and soon to be published in the journal Cell, discovered that certain types of cells in blood samples taken from donors in 2015-2018—well before COVID-19 arose—were reactive against the COVID-19 virus. In other words, those blood samples were at least partially immune from the coronavirus even though they had never been exposed to it. "CD4+ T cell responses were detected in 40-60% of unexposed individuals. This may be reflective of some degree of crossreactive, preexisting immunity to SARS- CoV-2 in some, but not all, individuals," the researchers state in the paper. President Donald Trump is expected to shrink a huge work permit program that quietly allows companies to hire foreign employees for the jobs needed by U.S. graduates in the coronavirus crash, according to the Wall Street Journal. “The coming temporary restrictions, the officials say, are designed to help American graduates looking for entry-level work during the pandemic-fueled economic downturn,” said the March 23 article. They are expected to come in a package of new immigration restrictions President Trump has said he would issue in an executive order, likely in the next few weeks, though they are still subject to White House review. … Mr. Trump’s immigration advisers haven’t settled on precisely how to curtail the program, with proposals ranging from a yearlong suspension with limited exceptions, such as for graduates looking to work in the medical field, or a narrower ban targeting certain industries. The policy shift comes as grassroots pressure groups — including a new coalition of GOP student groups — press Trump to follow through on his Inauguration Day “Hire American” promise.

You will not have any liberty (except I suppose YOU might as a party hack) once the invaders impose communism. There is no anarchotopia and you know it, tyrants always form groups and use them to defeat individuals in detail. I oppose that which will grow government and support that which will reduce it, you support what will grow government and impose communism on the whole world.

I brought up Trump's beginning moves towards nationalism, you tried to change the subject to other things as if they were nationalism because you are fundamentally dishonest due to being unable to defend your position any other way. And he is pathetically wrong and so are you. Group defense of member rights and jurisdictional territory is not socialism, it has nothing to do with ownership of property or the means of production.

LOL Not all group activity is socialism. The fact that anarchists resort to this kind of childish word games instead of dealing with the fact that individuals can't defend themselves against organized tyrants is the best proof of how wrong you are.
