The Afghan government released hundreds of Taliban prisoners Tuesday, its single largest prisoner release since the U.S. and the Taliban signed a peace deal earlier this year that spells out an exchange of detainees between the warring sides. The government announced it would release 900 Taliban prisoners as a three-day cease-fire with the insurgents draws to an end. The Taliban had called for the truce during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr that marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. There were expectations that the prisoner release could lead to new reductions in violence, and Taliban officials were considering an extension of the cease-fire, a senior Taliban figure confirmed to The Associated Press. “If these developments, like the announcement of prisoner releases, continues, it is possible to move forward with decisions like extending the brief cease-fire and to move in a positive direction with some minor issues," the Taliban official said. The prisoners were being released from Bagram prison, where the U.S. still maintains a major military base north of Kabul, and from Pul-e-Charkhi prison on the eastern edge of the Afghan capital.

National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien slashed the National Security Council staff to half of Obama-era levels. The NatSec purge started in February when President Trump fired the Vindman twins from their National Security Council positions in the Trump White House. The President also cut 70 Obama-era holdovers from the NatSec in February. Trump’s goal is to cut the agency in half. On Tuesday, the New York Post reported that Trump’s NatSec Advisor Robert O’Brien dramatically cut down the size of the NatSec Council. President Trump’s national security adviser Robert C. O’Brien has dramatically slashed the size of the National Security Council — reducing the headcount to half of what it was during the Obama era, The Post has learned.

Defense Department officials are reportedly planning to brief President Donald Trump on several options to withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan, including one to pull them out before the 2020 US presidential election in November. Senior officials familiar with the plans said multiple options with varying timelines will soon be presented to the president, according to a New York Times report published Tuesday. The US previously committed to pulling out 3,400 troops by July, and all of them by May 2021, if certain conditions were met. Speaking to media at the Rose Garden on Tuesday, Trump addressed concerns about another withdrawal. "We're there 19 years ... yeah, I think that's enough," Trump said of the US's war in Afghanistan. "We can always go back if we want to."

Dr. Shi Zhengli, known as China’s batwoman, was worried. Her creation, a highly infectious coronavirus, had leaked from her lab in October. Early efforts to stop the widening circle of infections had failed. It had spread like wildfire through the densely populated city of Wuhan. The Communist authorities were also worried that the source of the epidemic would be traced back to the Wuhan lab. To muddy the waters, on January 3rd, China’s National Health Commission ordered all biolabs in China to destroy not only the samples of the SARS-CoV-2 that they had isolated from those infected, but also the genetic sequencing of the virus’ RNA strand. Dr. Shi must have been only too happy to cover her own tracks—evidence suggests she had already started doing so–by destroying the evidence of the deadly virus’ actual origins in her lab. It was the equivalent of trying to wipe the fingerprints from a gun that had just been used to commit murder. The “gun” itself couldn’t be destroyed, however. In fact, the murder weapon used was busy replicating itself by the billions within each and every person who came down with the China Virus. Dr. Shi and her superiors, undoubtedly including Major General Chen Wei, the head of the PLA’s bioweapons program, knew that the coronavirus she had assembled using recombinant technology was so different from other known coronaviruses that it would raise suspicions. None of the other known beta-coronaviruses, the family from which her “backbone” coronavirus came from, had anything resembling the genetic sequence she had inserted to make it more infectious to humans. To reinforce the “Wet Market” cover story, namely, that this new pathogen had come from nature and not from her lab, something had to be done. And it had to be done quickly, since by then the China Coronavirus had spread to the rest of the world. Anger against China for its lack of transparency about the origins and characteristics of the virus was growing. Dr. Shi decided to “discover” a new bat coronavirus that was very similar to the one she had created. That “discovery” would prove that coronaviruses similar to SARS-CoV-2 were found in nature, and so deflect the growing suspicion that she had engineered it in her lab. The similarity between the two coronaviruses—including their common ability to infect humans–would greatly reinforce her story that the SARS-CoV-2 had jumped from a bat to a human, perhaps through some intermediate species at the Wuhan wet market. So, all Dr. Shi had to do was sit down before her computer keyboard, open a word file, and begin to fabricate the SARS-CoV-2 analogue that she would claim to have found in nature seven years before. All she had to do was type in the genetic sequence of her own creation, SARS-CoV-2, changing a few nucleotides now and again to mimic the “random mutations” that regularly occur in nature. She could easily have completed the “data entry” part of her task in a day, since all she was doing was entering in a string of letters alternating between the four nucleotides, A, U, G, and C. And coronaviruses contain less than 30,000 different nucleotides.

After over the weekend international reports said that multiple hundreds, or up to 1,000 Chinese troops have crossed into India following prior small-scale skirmishes weeks ago involving dozens of Indian and Chinese soldiers near a remote but strategically important mountain pass near Tibet, Indian media is now reporting that up to five to ten thousand PLA troops have now moved into Ladakh’s disputed Galwan river area. Some Indian media reports have suggested multiple thousands, while a new Business Standard India report now claims up to 10,000 Chinese soldiers inside India occupying the Galwan Valley while digging into fortified positions. Per the reports, a larger conflict between the two nuclear armed powers is on the horizon: “The most worrying situation is in the Galwan valley, where the PLA has crossed China’s own claim line (which Beijing had stated was the border with India) and breached 3-4 kilometers into Indian territory. PLA troops are digging defenses to equip themselves to face any Indian attack.” Meanwhile, unconfirmed Indian media reports say large Indian patrol units have begun building up in opposition to the recent PLA movements and provocations.

Thousands of unemployed Spaniards are being recruited to join a civilian task force which will patrol beaches this summer to enforce 'social distancing' and other coronavirus-related 'safety' measures. A new program announced by the government of Spain's autonomous Andalucia region calls for the hiring of 3,000 residents to become "beach control assistants" who will "monitor the Andalusian coasts within a 2020 Safe Beach Employment Plan," the Junta de Andalucia explained in a statement. “These assistants will carry out information work on the access control and capacity of the beaches, will ensure compliance with the measures contained in the contingency plan of each municipality and will inform users who access the beach of the notices and communications that are made by the competent bodies in matters of emergencies and civil protection.” Candidates will be selected from an application pool and then undergo training at the Andalusian School of Public Safety before being unleashed on the beachgoing public. Beach control assistants will report to local police about “incidents or actions carried out during the working day; they will carry out auxiliary aid or relief tasks, under the direction of the Local Police Corps or, where appropriate, of the Civil Protection services; they will receive and guide visitors; they will control the transit of users by the adjacent roads; they will record and communicate incidents and, finally, they will perform those other relief functions entrusted to them.”

President Trump on Tuesday evening urged House Republicans to vote against a surveillance bill that will be brought to the floor this week after lawmakers reached an agreement to vote on a key provision. “I hope all Republican House Members vote NO on FISA until such time as our Country is able to determine how and why the greatest political, criminal, and subversive scandal in USA history took place!” Trump tweeted, referring to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Trump's tweet comes after months of speculation about whether he would support the bill and less than a day before it is scheduled to get a vote on the House floor Wednesday, throwing an eleventh-hour curveball into its path.'' Trump’s tweet Tuesday came hours after House leaders agreed to consider an amendment that would tighten the limits on the FBI’s ability to access Americans’ web browsing history. A similar provision was defeated by one vote in the Senate, where senators who would have supported it were absent, putting pressure on House leadership to revive it. But in another potential setback for the bill, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), who helped spearhead the Senate amendment, said Tuesday night that he could not support the House version from Reps. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) and Warren Davidson (R-Ohio). Wyden pointed to a statement by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who appeared to interpret the House amendment as only preventing warrantless collection under the program when the order specifically targets an American.

“I just want to highlight to American citizens this does happen. I don’t know why there’s this blind belief that it cannot happen. It does happen, it happened to me,” says a woman who has come forward to tell the story about how she, as a non citizen, ended up getting registered to vote without even knowing it, and had ballots sent to her. “I’m here legally, but I’m not a citizen,” she explains, as she came to the country as a child and has married a citizen, and then she started applying to become a citizen, going through all the proper steps. This whistleblower has come forward to tell her story about how she started receiving ballots in the mail, addressed to her, after she had changed her address with the DMV and postal service, both of which apparently have the power to input data that affects one’s voter registration. She wanted to stay anonymous, but enough paperwork was provided to validate her claims. She had no clue she had been registered to vote, never said she wanted to be registered, and no one ever asked her if she wanted to be registered. She was simply automatically registered. Ballots started arriving in her mailbox in 2016, and continued through 2018, for a total of five elections. She says she likely would have received a sixth ballot had she not taken the steps to cancel her voter registration. “I started receiving local ballots first, and I ignored four of them, because I was still confused about it. I thought that the state had to know better, if they were sending it to me, they probably knew that I could vote, they were inviting me to vote, that’s what I kind of thought,” she says.

Richard Grenell has declassified a new batch of Russia probe documents on his way out as acting director of national intelligence, leaving the decision on whether to make those files public up to newly sworn-in Director John Ratcliffe. The documents include transcripts of phone calls that then-incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak had in December 2016, during the presidential transition period. Grenell said publicly last week that he was in the process of declassifying those files, after House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., asked that he do so. Fox News has learned that the declassification review of those transcripts is now complete, and it will be left up to Ratcliffe on whether to release them publicly. Fox News has learned that Grenell also completed the declassification review of other documents related to the origins of the Russia probe — including one that a senior intelligence official told Fox News was “very significant in understanding how intelligence was manipulated to support launching the Russia investigation.” More at: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/grenell-declassifies-slew-of-russia-files-as-ratcliffe-takes-helm-as-dni

The virus was known but not specifically identified IN CHINA last year. The set of patients was chosen for the study it doesn't represent the distribution of cases. But thanks for the ChiCom propaganda, it has not been proven that any American soldiers who were sick had this virus. The lab in Wuhan caused the mutation, that's why it was a mutated form.
