It's time for something big, it doesn't have to be something huge yet (although it needs to get there) but it needs to be something bigger than the good things he has done so far, something like bringing the troops home from even one war, his record so far has been better than most but if it doesn't improve it won't be enough.

After the Second World War, many economists racked their brains to answer the question of how Hitler managed to finance his armament, boost the economy and reduce unemployment. Today his trick is well known. The economic miracle of Führer’s time became possible thanks to the so-called Mefo promissory notes. The notes were the idea of the then President of the Reichsbank, Hjalmar Schacht, and served not only to finance the armament of the Wehrmacht for the Second World War, but also to create state jobs, which would otherwise not have been possible through the normal use of the money and capital markets, i.e. the annual increase in savings in Germany. The Reich thus financed the armaments industry by accepting notes issued by the dummy company Metallurgische Forschungsgesellschaft GmbH (hence the name Mefo) rather than paying them in cash. The creation of money was in full swing from 1934 to 1938 – the total amount of notes issued at that time was 12 billion marks. The Reichsbank declared to the German banks that it was prepared to rediscount the Mefo notes, thus enabling the banks to discount them. Because of their five-year term, the redemption of notes had to begin in 1939 at the latest. This threatened with enormous inflation. Since Schacht saw this as a threat to the Reichsmark, he expressed his doubts about the Reich Minister of Finance. But it did not help, and Schacht was quickly replaced by Economics Minister Walther Funk, who declared that the Reich would not redeem the Mefo notes, but would give Reich bonds to the Reichsbank in exchange. At the time of Funk, the autonomous Reichsbank statute was abolished, the Reichsbank was nationalized, and inflation exploded in such a way that Mefo notes with a circulation of 60 billion Reichsmark burdened the budget in post-war Germany. George Soros also proposes such a money flurry in the style of Schacht and Funk. Soros is dissatisfied with the current EU refugee policy because it is still based on quotas. He calls on the EU heads of state and governments to effectively deal with the migrant crisis through money flooding, which he calls “surge funding”. “This would help to keep the influx of refugees at a level that Europe can absorb.” Can absorb? Soros would be satisfied with the reception of 300,000 to 500,000 migrants per year. However, he is aware that the costs of his ethnic exchange plan are not financially feasible. In addition to the already enormous costs caused by migrants already in Europe, such a large number of new arrivals would add billions each year.

Former Employee Says Facebook Has a Black People Problem; Facebook Removes Post As to the external problem of how Facebook deals with black users, Luckie — leaning on his research experience as an editor — wrote that “black people are one of the most engaged demographics on Facebook.” Fleshing that out, he wrote: Black people are far outpacing other groups on the platform in a slew of engagement metrics. African Americans are more likely to use Facebook to communicate with family and friends daily, according to research commissioned by Facebook. 63% use Facebook to communicate with family, and 60% use Facebook to communicate with friends at least once a day, compared to 53% and 54% of the total population, respectively. 70% of black U.S. adults use Facebook and 43% use Instagram, according to the Pew Research Center. 55% of black millennials report spending at least one hour a day on social networking sites, 6% higher than all millennials, while 29% say they spend at least three hours a day, 9% higher than all millennials, Nielsen surveys found. Black people are driving the kind of meaningful social interactions Facebook is striving to facilitate. One might reasonably expect that the social-media giant — driven by both its claims of diversity and the fact that black people represent a significant percentage of its regular users — would treat black users the same as anyone else. One would be reasonable to assume that, but, if Luckie is correct, one would appear to be wrong. Luckie assets that black people routinely find “what are meant to be positive efforts” interpreted as “hate speech” and even “despite them often not violating Facebook’s terms of service” those users find “their content removed without notice” and their “accounts suspended indefinitely.” He went on to write: There is a prevailing theory among many black users that their content is more likely to be taken down on the platform than any other group. Even though the theories are mostly anecdotal, Facebook does little to dissuade people from this idea. Black people continue to use the platform because for many it is still their best way to connect directly with the causes they care about. Our communities should be able to trust that we have their best interests at heart. As if to verify the feeling among black users of the social platform that “their content is more likely to be taken down on the platform than any other group,” Facebook initially removed Luckie’s note, prompting him to use Facebook’s biggest competitor to tweet, “Turns out Facebook took down my post challenging discrimination at the company, disabling users' ability to share or read it. Further proves my point.” Only after it became a point of embarrassment did Facebook restore Luckie’s post. More at: https://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/...k-removes-post

Political opponents, who have largely failed so far to tap into the discontent from the leaderless "yellow vest", criticized Macron's response as insufficient. "Emmanuel Macron thought he could hand out some cash to calm the citizen's insurrection that has erupted," said Jean-Luc Melenchon, leader of the far-left La France Insoumise. "I believe that Act V (of the protests) will play out on Saturday," he said, referring to a new round of protests planned this weekend. One of the faces of the "yellow vest" movement appeared unconvinced as well. "In terms of substance, these are half measures. We can feel that Macron has got a lot more to give," Benjamin Cauchy, who met the French leader last week, told France 2 television. Delta Airlines said Monday that it will ban all emotional support animals on flights longer than 8 hours and will ban all service and support animals under four months of age on flights no matter the duration. The policy will go into effect Dec. 18, ahead of the Christmas holiday travel season. “These updates support Delta’s commitment to safety and also protect the rights of customers with documented needs — such as veterans with disabilities — to travel with trained service and support animals,” said John Laughter, Delta’s senior vice president, corporate safety, security and compliance. Delta DAL, +0.45% said it amended its animal policy after finding an 84% increase in reported incidents involving service and support animals in 2016 and 2017, “including urination/defecation, biting and even a widely reported attack by a 70-pound dog.” More at: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/delta-bans-kittens-and-puppies-as-support-animals-on-all-flights-and-all-emotional-support-animals-on-longer-hauls-2018-12-10?siteid=yhoof2&yptr=yahoo

The president of the European Council has ruled out renegotiating Theresa May’s Brexit deal and its controversial backstop at a scheduled summit in Brussels later this week. Donald Tusk said leaders would discuss the agreement struck last month at a meeting and that leaders were “ready to discuss how to facilitate UK ratification”. But he warned that the bloc would use the meeting to discuss no-deal planning “as time is running out”. His comments came after Theresa May said she would go back to Brussels to seek further concessions from the EU after an overwhelmingly negative reception to her deal from MPs. The European Commission and several key member states on Monday also ruled out changing the controversial withdrawal agreement. “I have decided to call European Council on Brexit on Thursday,” Mr Tusk said on Monday evening. “We will not renegotiate the deal, including the backstop, but we are ready to discuss how to facilitate UK ratification. As time is running out, we will also discuss our preparedness for a no-deal scenario.” The council president is said to be consulting with EU27 leaders ahead of the summit. A European Commission spokesperson said: “We have an agreement on the table that was endorsed by the European Council in its Article 50 format on the 25 November. As president Juncker said, this deal is the best and only deal possible. “We will not renegotiate, our position has not changed, and as far as we are concerned, the United Kingdom is leaving the European Union on 29 March 2019.”

The only remaining abortion clinic in Tennessee's capital has ceased offering abortions, instead referring patients to clinics 200 miles away in Knoxville and Memphis. Officials with Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi, which operates the north Nashville clinic, could not say when its clinic would resume abortions. The organization has a shortage of physicians to do the procedure, a spokeswoman said. The clinic also "undergoing a period of quality improvement and will return with these services soon," a statement said. It is the second clinic in Nashville to stop abortions this year. The Women's Center closed in August after the sale of its building, and its operators said then they hoped to reopen. No target date was set, and its reopening has not happened yet. Egyptian authorities have quietly introduced restrictions on the sale of yellow reflective vests, fearing opponents might attempt to copy French protesters during next month's anniversary of the 2011 popular uprising that toppled autocrat Hosni Mubarak, security officials and retailers said Monday. They said industrial safety equipment dealers have been instructed not to sell yellow vests to walk-in buyers and to restrict business to wholesale sales to verified companies, but only after securing police permission. They were told offenders would be punished, the officials said without elaborating. Six retailers in a Cairo downtown area where industrial safety stores are concentrated said they were no longer selling yellow vests. Two declined to sell them, giving no explanation, but the remaining four told The Associated Press they were told not to by police. "They seem not to want anyone to do what they are doing in France," said one retailer. "The police came here a few days back and told us to stop selling them. When we asked why, they said they were acting on instructions," said another. Both spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals. Security officials said the restrictions would remain in force until the end of January. They said industrial safety product importers and wholesale merchants were summoned to a meeting with senior police officers in Cairo this week and informed of the rules. The officials, who have first-hand knowledge of the measures, spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to brief the media. Repeated calls and messages to the spokesman of the Interior Ministry, which oversees the police, to seek comment went unanswered. The move showcases the depth of the Egyptian government's concern with security. The past two years, Egyptian authorities clamped down heavily, deploying police and soldiers across the country, to prevent any marches to commemorate the Jan. 25 anniversary of the start of the 2011 uprising. Scores were killed and wounded in clashes during the uprising anniversaries in years before that. The world will be destroyed by bad parenting, the population is so large and our culture is so decayed that it may not be possible to reform society until after a great collapse and a massive decrease in population, the lower classes no longer respect or seek to emulate the higher classes and even if they did the higher classes have become just as foul and infantile as the worst ghetto.
