    What subsidy? Furthermore even if your characterization was correct there are two problems: 1 The Constitution prohibits the states from taxing interstate commerce and even if that weren't the case or shouldn't be the case we must abide by the rules until they can be changed. (that is why they didn't make it a tariff, game services based in the state or the city are not exempted) 2 That which is permissible isn't always advisable, Chicago and Illinois already overtax their residents and they didn't cut other taxes and shift to a tariff.

    Not so, unicorns are a concept of the mind, if nobody ever finds one then they don't exist. True, but that isn't the part of the riddle that I am discussing. Good people want everyone to be as happy as possible, smart people know that freedom is the state of being that best accomplishes that goal in the long run, therefore smart people think long and hard to come up with a theory how to best achieve liberty and maintain it, the next step which I didn't discuss is that they attempt to obtain the means to put their theory into practice, I assumed for the sake of argument that they were successful and moved on to the question of whether the theory produced the results that it existed to produce.

    I don't believe you, even SCOTUS isn't that out of touch with reality. Yours is the most bizarre open ended interpretation of "equal treatment under the law" I have ever heard, you could just as easily say that it required socialism to make my life equal to a rich man's.

That is utter nonsense, that isn't what equal protection of the law means. You don't get to make armchair subjective judgements and claim that because you disagree with Trump about an appointee it means the appointment is unconstitutional.     I'm not necessarily defending it, I don't like Ivanka at all but FLOTUS isn't an appointed position and appointing family member ISN'T "unconstitutional" as you claimed. What provision of the 14thA ("THIS ARTICLE") prohibits appointing family members? NONE That isn't the Constitution, if that law applies to the President and not just lower officials then you can claim it is illegal and you should write to the Demoncrats in Congress about it so that we can force Ivanka and her hubby out of the WH.
