Kokesh is banking on getting 10% of the vote looking to pull disenfranchised independents and those who abstain from voting. I wish him luck

I got into an argument with my siblings over the weekend about illegal immigration - they said the reason most are here is because the situation in their home countries in South America is $H!T - then I say "Well, it's the people's job to repair the damage", then they say "Well, they've tried doing it, but protests don't work and they just get held down by dictators." They believe only an outside force can repair the damage in South American countries. I know the history of US toppling SA dictators, and some voters voting in socialism (Venezuela), but by and large, what else can citizens of those countries do to take power back instead of just protests?

I try keeping faith too, but with Google and Youtube censorship on the rise and America's screen addiction, it seems like over half the country is in the dark as to what is really going on.

This is why democracy sucks, it pits factions against each other, as Aaron Russo explains here:

I got into a heated argument with my siblings over lunch today about the media, immigration, and the political divide in the US today. They ask the tired question "what can you do? Youre not a mayor, judge, politician, etc." I respond that is not the right way of thinking - the people should also be responsible for change. When they heard 'the people', the only thing they thought of was protest. They respond that protests dont work: "look at Venezuela, Hong Kong, etc." True, I do not believe protest is the most effective. What about peaceful non-compliance, or state nullification? We qre not taught those in school or the media, so the public at large do not even take them into consideration.
