The Corporate Equality Index and the ESG Racket The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 119 (05 June 2023) ESG scoring is a financial racket, and we’re starting to learn how it works. The unfolding saga with huge American corporations like Anheuser-Busch (Bud Light) and Target are showing us a glimpse of what’s going on behind the curtain with this cartel scam that’s trapping our corporations. One tool of this cartel is the Human Rights Campaign’s “Corporate Equality Index,” which is concerned with “LGBTQ+” issues and is used as a scoring mechanism for the S, Social (Justice), part of ESG scoring. In this episode of the New Discourses Podcast, host James Lindsay walks through how the ESG racket works, including using CEI scoring, and makes the suggestion that we need a perspective shift so we can end this problem once and for all. Join him to hear how it works! https://odysee.com/@newdiscourses:9/the-corporate-equality-index-and-the-esg:d @newdiscourses:9/the-corporate-equality-index-and-the-esg:d

If the fact that government courts might sometimes need to resolve the question of whether someone is or was "married" in order to dispose of some particular matter is sufficient to establish that government is (or should be) "in the business of marriage", then there is literally nothing that government is not (or should not be) "in the business" of, since a definition of any given thing might sometimes need to be addressed in a government court in order to dispose of some particular matter. Thus, if the aforementioned fact warrants the claim that the government is "in the business of marriage", then that claim is capable of meaning pretty much anything at all (or it is essentially meaningless, which amounts to the same thing). Most marriages have always been in some way explicit, as well as documented and/or witnessed, etc., according to customary sensibilities, traditions, etc. (and this does not for that reason make them any less "objective" than politician-defined marriages). They are perfectly capable of being and remaining so without any need for politicians and bureaucrats to usurp the issue by arrogating to themselves sole (or even any) authority to define or "regularize" the issue for the sake of their own convenience (and power) . If there are those who (due to a lack of such explicitness, documentation, witnesses, etc.) find themselves unable to adequately establish their status as "spouses" to the satisfaction of some court, then that is their problem, not the court's (or, by extension, the government's). Let such people stand as a cautionary example for others, and as an incentive to avoid such problems in case of later disputes (that is, after all, exactly why marriage customs involving documentation, witnessing, etc. came to be adopted in the first place - not because some politicians thought it was a clever new idea no one had come up with before). Such customs, traditions, etc. may (and almost certainly will) vary from time, place and/or culture to time, place and/or culture. For example, San Franciscans might well have different standards for what constitutes (or suffices to establish) a marriage than Peorians do - and that is just as it ought to be. Let the cosmopolitan be cosmopolitan and let the provincial be provincial. There are virtues and faults to be found in either, and outside of initiations of force or acts of aggression , neither should be permitted to dictate to the other what it must value (or disvalue).

Nearly a month after vowing a return to right-wing commentary through a show on Elon Musk’s Twitter, the fired Fox News host made good on his promise Tuesday evening and posted a 10-minute monologue to the social media platform.

84 million views and counting. https://twitter.com/TuckerCarlson/status/1666203439146172419 If just a fraction of those actually watched the video, it would still beat anything on "prime time" cable news. Part of it may be due to the "novelty" factor, and the number will probably drop off as time goes by - but even allowing for that, I suspect he'll still get numbers that at least 99% of podcasters (and 100% of cable news talking heads) will wish they could get. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Just a heads-up: Breaking911 automatically delete their tweets after several weeks, so any embeds of Breaking911 tweets will eventually disappear. Some other accounts - such as Disclose.tv - do the same thing. Thus, if you want videos from those accounts to stick around longer, you'll have to link to or embed them from another source. Sometimes you can find these at the tweet source's web site, if it has one. For example, the corresponding article at the Breaking911 web site has the original video (which is not in a form that can be embedded at RPFs) as well as the following YouTube video: Critical Incident Briefing: SLCPD Use of Force: February 21, 2023 On Wednesday, February 21, 2023, St. Louis County detectives were involved in a use of force that left one suspect suffering from a non-life-threatening injury. At approximately 2:15 pm St. Louis County police detectives observed a 2016 Ford Explorer with expired temporary license plates driving recklessly on Halls Ferry Road near the intersection of Jennings Station Road in the city of Jennings. Detectives watched the speeding vehicle enter the Halls Ferry Circle and then travel west on Riverview Boulevard. Officers attempted to get behind the to conduct a traffic stop. However, due to the suspect’s manner of driving, they were unable to do so until the vehicle turned northbound on McLaran Drive from Riverview Boulevard.

On November 17, 2012 a Pasadena Police Department (PD) helicopter struck a stationary Pasadena PD helicopter while maneuvering to park at the Pasadena Police Benedict Heliport in Altadena, California. More details follow, but first a brief comment: In the aftermath of this accident the Pasadena Police Department was quoted by news sources reassuring the public that the accident would not impact police coverage, primarily because the department had four additional helicopters. No mention was made of the fact that in the split-second accident you see in this video taxpayers lost millions of dollars. That I could find no record of the city addressing the financial impact of this event is concerning. Remember the Chicago Transit Authority train crash, where the operator fell asleep and her ride collided with a bumping post? She was only sixty days on the job and had already fallen asleep while operating a train at least one other time, careening through a station where she was supposed to have stopped. Her last nap as a train operator cost the taxpayers of Chicago well over six million dollars, and she wasn't even fired from her job immediately. The Pasadena Police Department has acquired at least one new helicopter since this accident, and it comes as no surprise that they seem to have been less-than-transparent about its cost. Demand accountability and transparency from the officials who spend your money, and don't let the drama of transportation accidents overshadow their often immense financial burden. Onward: N911FA, a Bell OH-58, was attempting to park on Pad 2 at the Pasadena PD heliport, and N96BM, a Bell OH-58A, was on the ground adjacent to Pad 1 with its main rotor blades turning when the collision occurred. Pasadena PD operated both helicopters under the provision of 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91, as public-use flights. Both helicopters sustained substantial damage. The commercial pilot and two passengers of N911FA received minor injuries. The commercial pilot and tactical flight officer (TFO) of N96BM received minor injuries. Also, one person on the ground received minor injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed, and no flight plans had been filed. According to Pasadena PD, N911FA was providing traffic support for a college football game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The flight departed at 1552, and flew toward the Rose Bowl; the intent was to be gone for a 1 hour flight. At the time of departure for N911FA, weather at the heliport was not a factor. At 1555, about 3 minutes later, N96BM was moved out of the hangar in response to an in-progress call, and placed on the outside edge of Pad 1, in between Pad 1 and Pad 2 facing to the south. The pilot of N96BM had started the engine, and begun the startup sequence. At 1558, N911FA returned to the heliport due to diminishing weather. The pilot of N911FA made a normal approach from the north to the main pad. From the main pad, the pilot performed a left pedal turn turning the helicopter to the east, and hover-taxied toward pad 2. The pilot then made a right pedal turn, turning the helicopter to the south. As she lowered the collective to land on pad 2, the main rotor blades came into contact with N96BM's main rotor blades. The air support Lieutenant (Lt.) was interviewed on November 18, 2012. He had observed that throughout the day prior to the accident, the weather had been spotty; clear one moment, cloudy and overcast the next. As N911FA took off, he observed from his office marginal weather conditions. A couple of minutes later, he looked out his window, and noted that the weather was closing in, and that N96BM was on Pad 1 preparing to take off. He walked out of his office toward N96BM, with the intent of telling the flight crew to stand down. He stated that he had been standing by the left door on the outside of N96BM. He observed N911FA returning to base, and thought that was a good thing. He recalled hearing a loud bang, getting...

The idea of "We accept you and your ideas so now you've gotta accept us and our ideas." is illogical. Emotion is only good for manipulating the emotional. "Accept our behavior or we'll kill you." is completely logical. Force always wins even if the victory is fleeting.

https://freedomisobvious.blogspot.com/2023/06/do-we-need-government.html Certainly as currently constituted, we by no means need "government". We do, however, need governance. The main form of governance, of course, is that of the individual over himself, which is the ideal. We all know, however, that this fails plenty often enough to have long ago become a serious issue. When one fails to govern his own behavior properly, it then falls to others to govern him in his own stead. This is a most dolorous and taxing necessity, placing a clear and deleterious drag on "society". We might call it a "bad behavior tax". In many cases, individuals take care of the problems that arise from such failures to self-govern by any of several means. Shaming and calling out such behavior is one way, and it used to work quite effectively, at least in the less severe cases - but it seems to have lost much of its power as people have lost their senses of proper shame for committing acts meriting such mortification. Nonetheless, it remains effective in at least a small proportion of instances, most often by parents instilling such senses into their children. Then there is the good old-fashioned ass-whooping. Sometimes a human being needs to have the crap smacked out of him when he behaves atrociously. A well chosen beating, whether serious or a mere smack in the head, can work minor miracles.

I don't know what is wrong with the rep system that you get three neg reps and I'm only allowed to give you one. But Hillary didn't lie about her client nor did she say he was guilty of first degree rape. She said that was the charge. I did watch it and you lied. Further he didn't "get off." He plead guilty to a lesser charge. What Hillary said was "I got him off WITH TIME SERVED." He's still on the sex abuse registry the rest of his life. You have not identified a single legitimate ethical lapse in anything Hillary did or said in that video.
