1963 Excerpt from the Iron Mountain report....... POLITICAL The war system makes the stable government of societies possible. It does this essentially by providing an external necessity for a society to accept political rule. In so doing, it establishes the basis for nationhood and the authority of government to control its constituents. What other institution or combination of programs might serve these functions in its place? We have already pointed out that the end of the war means the end of national sovereignty, and thus the end of nationhood as we know it today. But this does not necessarily mean the end of nations in the administrative sense, and internal political power will remain essential to a stable society. The emerging "nations" of the peace epoch must continue to draw political authority from some source. A number of proposals have been made governing the relations between nations after total disarmament; all are basically juridical in nature. They contemplate institutions more or less like a World Court, or a United Nations, but vested with real authority. They may or may not serve their ostensible post-military purpose of settling international disputes, but we need not discuss that here. None would offer effective external pressure on a peace-world nation to organize itself politically. It might be argued that a well-armed international police force, operating under the authority of such a supranational "court," could well serve the function of external enemy. This, however, would constitute a military operation, like the inspection schemes mentioned, and, like them, would be inconsistent with the premise of an end to the war system. It is possible that a variant of the "Unarmed Forces" idea might be developed in such a way that its "constructive" (i.e., social welfare) activities could be combined with an economic "threat" of sufficient size and credibility to warrant political organization. Would this kind of threat also be contradictory to our basic premise?--that is, would it be inevitably military? Not necessarily, in our view, but we are skeptical of its capacity to evoke credibility. Also, the obvious destabilizing effect of any global social welfare surrogate on politically necessary class relationships 51 would create an entirely new set of transition problems at least equal in magnitude. Credibility, in fact, lies at the heart of the problem of developing a political substitute for war. This is where the space-race proposals, in many ways so well suited as economic substitutes for war, fall short. The most ambitious and unrealistic space project cannot of itself generate a believable external menace. It has been hotly argued that such a menace would offer the "last, best hope of peace," etc., by uniting mankind against the danger of destruction by "creatures" from other planets or from outer space. Experiments have been proposed to test the credibility of an out-of-our-world invasion threat; it is possible that a few of the more difficult-to-explain "flying saucer" incidents of recent years were in fact early experiments of this kind. If so, they could hardly have been judged encouraging. We anticipate no difficulties in making a "need" for a giant super space program credible for economic purposes, even were there not ample precedent; extending it, for political purposes, to include features unfortunately associated with science fiction would obviously be a more dubious undertaking. Nevertheless, an effective political substitute for war would require "alternate enemies," some of which might seem equally farfetched in the context of the current war system. It may be, for instance, that gross pollution of the environment can eventually replace the possibility of mass destruction by nuclear weapons as the principal apparent threat to the survival of the species. Poisoning of the air, and of the principal sources of food and water supply, is already well advanced, and at first...

It's absolutely disgraceful - and shameful - that they would not allow a vote on his amendment, or even a vote on whether or not they should vote on it. I expect much better voting from my representatives. I will write a letter to them, in the appropriate tone, diction, and style, that such a travesty would require.

That's bullshit man. Even people like Ron Paul and a hell of a lot of people here will defer to church charities to replace welfare. And I agree with them. People like Bernie Sanders scoff at charity. Don't be a commie.

I have many conflicting feelings about it. It boils down to thinking that Milo has always just been a troll. This pedophilia scandal is just part of his gay persona. I'm sure plenty of people would be offended of his talk about sucking black dicks and supporting circumcision for that reason. He's a ***** that says outrageous things. He was the conservatives token ***** who supported christianity and opposed gay marriage while supporting degeneracy with a british accent. And he is a zionist. That's perfect for conservative. He has supported every US war in the middle east. Edit: oh jeez. they censor the word q u e e r here? He's a f a g g o t.

TXGR are one of a few groups who supported open carry from the start. The NRA and TSRA jumped on the bandwagon at the last minute when it was obvious their members were getting annoyed at them dragging their feet. I remember Charles Cotton (Mr. NRA of Texas), after Open Carry passed, was lamenting on his own forum that getting open carry passed was a waste of gun rights energy. You'll notice that the NRA and TSRA are not at all supporting the Constitutional Carry bill for this legislature session. They (Charles Cotton) spend their time criticizing Jonathan Stickland and Don Huffines, who are the strongest 2nd Amendment supporters we have in Texas. They also love Speaker of the House Joe Straus; the guy who almost killed Open Carry and the guy who will make sure Constitutional Carry never sees a vote this session. IMO groups like NAGR are great for forcing the NRA to actually support gun rights in these state fights. All the hand-wringing over OCT in Texas was just whiny babies scared to fight for our rights.

I skimmed the bill so tell me if I'm wrong. This is for unlicensed conceal carry only, right? Google tells me that open carry is already legal in NC. It's confusing to have it called constitutional carry when they only seem to reference concealed carry in the bill's description.

I understand what your saying. All I got to say is you better pray that the globalists are taken down over the next 8 years. Those extra 10k ICE agents are just a drop in the bucket for what they have planned for us. Our military and federal agents are nothing but tools. If they aren't used to take the globalists down you can damn well bet they are going to be used to take us down in the hands of people like Clinton. And right now American Nationalism is the only cure for globalism. We are the only country who can take these people on and win. And you unleash the power of the United States against these people, instead of at the behest of these people, I can guarantee you the citizens of the world will be on our side. These globalists have fucked the world over and they know it. So far Trump is making the right moves and looks to be on our side. I pray that everyday. We are literally in a battle with evil personified by these globalists. The fact that he is being fought so hard to be stopped gives me hope that is true.

Take a look at whats happening in Sweden. That's the plan here. Sweden have 50+ no go zones because they are so dangerous due to their "immigrants". They are terrorizing the Swedes with impunity. The rapes over there have skyrocketed due to these "immigrants". Ambulances have to be accompanied by police officers in the immigrant areas because it is so dangerous. People are being attacked. They have something like a 85% unemployment rate among those "immigrants". They are dealing drugs. The Swedes are footing the bill to house/feed/educate and provide medical services to them. They are creating havoc, smashing up storefronts, rioting, beating people up, raping children. And this is ALL being allowed while their government is pretending it isn't happening. Why? Because they are being run by a globalist. Is that what you want here too?

Were on the hit list also ya know....after we do their dirty work elsewhere. Their plans are being challenged and they are desperate now so they are accelerating their plan out of their desperation.....One World Government.

Yep...and there are probably sleeper cells here already brought in by Bushes and Clintons and Obama over the decades. Globalists now panicking because they weren't ready for Trump. They were counting on their gal Friday Clinton to get elected. That's why they (globalists) are desperately fighting to allow "immigrants" in from countries we have been bombing, creating terrorists and no doubt training their jihadists. You guys are actually rooting for terrorism in this country to take it down and turn over to the United Nations. That's the near future plan they have been working towards. In this country and all the other countries being forced to take "immigrants". Are you guys paying attention at all? Try that instead of being useful idiots for the globalists.

FOX/GOOGLE DEBATE Question+Response Count

by pacelli on 09-22-2011 at 08:59 PM
So I've been sitting here tracking the number of questions & responses for each candidate during the Fox/Google debate. I didn't use a stopwatch, so this is merely the number of times each candidate spoke-- omitting of course things that shouldn't really be counted, like when Santorum was unsuccesfully trying to interrupt people, but not really saying anything of substance. I did include in the count responses permitted by the moderators when the candidates were taking turns bantering back and

Organic Lawn Care For the Cheap and Lazy

Lawn care in a nutshell:

Must do:
o Set your mower as high as it will go (3 to 4 inches).
o Water only when your grass shows signs of drought stress and then water deeply (put a cup in your sprinkler zone and make sure it gets at least an inch of water).
Optional:
o Fertilize
