Thoughts? I don’t watch her show, the one time I did she was crying to a guest about how Trump had an opportunity to “do something” about guns and she was supporting an “assault weapons” ban.

Rand is only spared from a Twitter barrage from Trump because he has made himself a foreign policy advisor to the President, and most importantly he hasn’t backstabbed him and has became his friend. Yes Rand votes against the GOP/Trump, but he is a rare trustworthy advisor in the current political climate. Trump likely is attacking Massie as it makes him look “bipartisan”, and Massie is disposable to Trump. Trump would rather have a loyal MAGA follower in that seat than Massie. The great irony would be if Massie still won the GOP primary by a hair, but then, made unpopular by Trump, loses his seat to a Democrat.

I like that quote, thank you to those who mentioned it. If I am able to speak at graduation, I will try to incorporate that into my speech. I think that it would be a good message to include in a speech, with the bonus of being able to include Ron Paul. One of my former science teachers is a big Ron Paul guy and I’m sure he will love it. As for making political statements in the yearbook, they are allowed and fairly common. Nowadays, at least in my high school, yearbook quotes are more of a personal message of who you are. I found “Don’t steal, the government hates competition” to be fairly nonpartisan in comparison to other allowed political quotes, as both left and right can find something they don’t like about government in general. I am disappointed that they removed the quote as their quote removal policy appears to be inconsistent.

Well that’s where the possibility comes in, we may not have graduation. I could see a ceremony in July or something if this declines with the summer. For the others, their policy is that removed quotes cannot be replaced with another quote of your choosing. The yearbook staff replaces it with a generic quote.

My senior yearbook quote was supposed to be “Don’t steal, the government hates competition”-Ron Paul, however I was recently informed that it was removed and replaced with a generic quote. The yearbook staff and school administration screen all senior quotes and remove those that are hate speech, inside jokes, and references to drugs/sex/violence. I figured that there would be a slight possibility of it being removed, however I am still disappointed. P.S. There is a possibility that I could speak at graduation, any ideas of how to work the quote into a graduation speech?

From what I’ve heard, when a state goes into lockdown, only essential businesses are open and you are only supposed to go out for essential trips to get food or medicine(or go to work if you are in an essential field). Let’s say you go to a business like Walmart to pick up some groceries, and then you swing by the electronics department and buy a video game. Would that make your trip nonessential? Would you get harassed for doing this? Would there be any legal blowback for purchasing a “non essential” item while on an “essential” item shopping trip?

Lordy Rand is getting dragged on twitter. It doesn’t help that all the headlines read “Rand Paul delays COVID-19 bill by attaching doomed amendment/pet project/etc” like its him being uppity about some obscure libertarian ideal, he’s trying to end a war!!!! And all the “blood on his hands”, no, the rest of the Senate has blood on their hands for all these d*mn wars and they have blood on their hands if they vote against the amendment.

I got a letter in the mail from Rand Paul today. He is running for re-election in 2022.
