Yes, that's another aspect of being pro-life. Trump believed all the lies that the vaccines were safety-tested, that they were 100% effective against COVID-19, and, most egregiously, that he was responsible for the success of getting the vaccines out through "Operation Warp Speed." He gambled with the lives of desperate Americans, and like you've said, to this day, he prides himself in getting the vaccines pushed through.

Yes, I know that Trump has done way more public engagement than Kamala. My point is Trump was outsmarted by a really stupid candidate because he allowed his own ego to get the best of him and fell into her traps. And it's his ego which will be his undoing, just as his ego kept him from being judged by Republican Primary voters in his refusal to participate in those debates.

It's a single issue which is connected to a network of other positions. That single issue is pro-life. To be pro-life means that you care for the preservation of innocent life both inside and outside of the womb, and that incorporates the prohibition of conflicts and wars which will lead to the unnecessary, if not, unethical, termination of civilians who have nothing to do with posing a national threat. It has been shown countless times that the nation-state of Israel is using certain events to justify a campaign of genocide towards an ethnic/national group of people who are not terrorists. As a Christian, I'm against any candidate who will support another nation killing my people (that is, Palestinian Christians) for political and religious reasons. Trump's unadulterated support of Israel offsets his commitment to end the conflict over in Ukraine and Russia, even if he claims, "I just want the dying to stop." He wants to stop the killing of Ukrainian and Russian lives, but he's okay with Palestinians (and even Israelis) being killed because "Israel needs to be feared by her enemies again." Therefore, as a "sInGlE-iSsUe VoTeR," I feel justified in not supporting Trump at all, and I'm sick and tired of people like you trying to justify "voting for the lesser of two evils."

Call it "poetic justice." Trump dodged all of the Republican Primary debates, because he was so proud that he had a commanding lead with Republican voters (in the polls and in the eyes of the mainstream media), and he felt that Republican voters didn't need to hear his positions challenged and scrutinized with the other candidates. Now he lost what is probably his last debate to a candidate who, like him, dodged the public, flying high on the polls and favor of the mainstream media and would-be voters. Trump is an arrogant person whose ego got the best of him against a woman who memorized her script and played him by leading him into all the traps that Trump's persona couldn't help.

I'm against Zionism, not Israel because, theologically speaking, the Church is Israel (those who are covenantally united to Christ by faith and through baptism). So I am pro-Israel, in the Biblical sense of the word, not in the nation-state sense of a country which is Atheistic in its entire ethics, civics, etc.

If you're voting for Trump, then don't complain about the conflicts in the Middle East and Israel's campaign to wipe out an entire demographic due to their ethnicity. Trump is a staunch supporter of aiding Israel in all of her military campaigns.

I'm not comfortable with anything, lol. The charming lady and RFK Jr don't stand a chance of having any near future impact about anything. They may influence a few minds, though. The problem is that there are zillions of competing ideas vs people in the parties who are really serious about power and winning at any cost. Note that Nancy Pelosi just released a book called "The Art of Power", which sums her up perfectly. The psychopaths always come out on top because they want it so much and every fiber of their being is dedicated to winning. The mass people, every four years, go on about "change" and the only change that happens is things get worse. I listened to a little of the Democrap convention and it's just scary how over the top enthralled those NPCs are. They scream for every speaker like each one is the Beatles. Then we have Trump claiming Taylor Swift is supporting him. FFS. It's all one big clown show and getting more extreme and bizarre every day. I don't think things are gonna turn out well in our lifetimes. The ONLY reason I can think of to vote is to keep the commies at bay.

My favorite historical subject. I'll drop this here, as well as it provides valuable background and is consistent with extant material I've read written by eyewitnesses/participants. It's three parts, all readable with subscribing though I did subscribe because he's done such a great job: I’ve decided to write this brief summary of the Russian Revolution just so that readers of this Substack, at least, can understand where I’m coming from when I post about one of my main areas of interest: The Russian Civil War (1917-1921). I was inspired to do this after I wrote a summary of the Kuban Ice March for a post that reproduced a 1918 pamphlet describing that event and the early development of the anti-communist White Army. Historical documents are tricky because, even if the documents are interesting, the authors (understandably) assumed that readers would know about things that, 100+ years later and several continents away, they don’t necessarily know about. Even a bit of background knowledge can add a lot to peoples’ understanding of these documents. Some notes on this essay: I’m not trying to write a comprehensive history of the period or provide details on all aspects of Russian political life. I will be writing a few of these summaries over the next few months and I have a vague plan to introduce other subjects when they’re more relevant to the main drama. For instance, I don’t mention the Socialist Revolutionary Party, the Kadets, the Menshiviks, or other major political players in pre- and post-Revolution Russia in this essay. They’re all important, I’ll bring them up later, but my main goal here is to create an accessible narrative that the average person walking off the street can understand without much background knowledge. I’m not a professional historian, I work in marketing and dropped out of a film studies program in Canada after one semester, but I do read a lot of this stuff. If you’re looking for a more in-depth examination of the Russian Revolution, I strongly recommend Sean McMeekin’s book The Russian Revolution: A New History. That is, without a doubt, the best summary of these events out there. It’s very well-written and easy to understand. Everyone should read it.

Made it nine minutes and that's all I could stand. Left it with him talking about restoring constitution protections while arguing for the continuation of a completely unconstitutional, unaccountable, forth branch of government, the intelligence community. I never liked the Heritage Foundation, anyway.

AFAIK, the only cause of inflation is an increase the money supply. So, does that mean that to reverse inflation the money supply needs to be shrunk? If so, how would one do that? It can't be just tightening credit because the "money" is already out there. Totally agree about Trump and his signing off the worst increase in debt. I was mortified when it happened because I knew what the result would be.

I'm in complete agreement with Claire Wolf and, especially, CS Lewis (most evil is banal and petty). Now, what does that have to do with being a lazy bones and not putting your cart back, which is simply a matter of personal responsibility and consideration for others, not government intrusion and theft?
