Do yourself a favor and stay away from the gray market bikes made of Chinesium. You'll be better off with a used Honda than a new Chinese BrakDounOffen.

The only way Trump (or any U.S. President, for that matter) would deserve a Nobel Peace Prize is if he shutdown all U.S. bases overseas and returned all military servicemembers, equipment, etc. back to the United States. And he'll get bonus points if he began minimizing a standing, national military by transitioning those powers back to the States, shortly thereafter.

I love that kid. He is very talented in the motor skills department. Good at sports etc. The hurdle is his mom. He is their only son. She is very protective. But, I think he would thrive in motor sports.

Innocent Father and Daughter Held at Gunpoint on Knees as Cops Shot Their Dogs—Lawsuit https://dcdirtylaundry.com/innocent-father-and-daughter-held-at-gunpoint-on-knees-as-cops-shot-their-dogs-lawsuit/ By Matt Agorist - August 17, 2019 Tinton Falls, NJ — Roberton Fullerton and his daughter Bobbi Rene Fullerton had committed no crime, had harmed no one, and were in their own home when police officers came to the door, ordered them to their knees at gunpoint and shot their two dogs. While apologists continue to claim “if you do nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about,” this case — like so many others before it — proves them entirely wrong. Now the taxpayers of Tinton Falls will be held liable for the officers’ actions in the form of a lawsuit. The Fullertons are now suing the Borough of Tinton Falls, Police Officer Adrian Reyes, several officers referred to only as “John Does,” and Police Chief John Scrivanic in federal court for an amount “yet to be determined.” for the disturbing abuse doled out by the officers. On Tuesday, the lawsuit was scheduled for pretrial.

OK, I got a nephew that has expressed interest in motorcycling, I'd like to buy him a dirt bike and bring him to a course. I never had any formal training at his age ( 9). But did a lot of that myself where ever I could. Times have changed. I realize that isn't an option today in a large metropolitan area. Any suggestions how to go about this? Cheaper bike (initially) and clubs, etc?

For that to happen there must be some understanding of what a "community" is. A community is not a random gathering of human protoplasm, all pressed together in "Stack-a-Prole" housing units. A community is a group of human beings that have come together based on shared ideals, cultures and ethnicity.

American Tragedy https://www.takimag.com/article/american-tragedy/ by Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel August 16, 2019 One thing about tragedies: They reveal people for who they really are. In the past two weeks, we’ve learned a lot about our media and political class. Our country endured two separate and horrifying mass shootings, one in El Paso, Texas, and the other in Dayton, Ohio. Between them, at least 31 people were murdered. Two massacres, back to back. It’s tempting to look for themes that connect them, but if there are any, they’re not political. One gunman appeared to be a Trump voter. The other supported Sen. Elizabeth Warren. There’s no obvious ideological lesson here. But that hasn’t stopped the usual power-hungry politicians from trying to leverage human pain for political advantage. Here’s just a sampling of the commentary from the Democratic presidential field:

Across Maine, families like the Flahertys are being hammered by two slow-moving demographic forces — the growth of the retirement population and a simultaneous decline in young workers — that have been exacerbated by a national worker shortage pushing up the cost of labor. The unemployment rate in Maine is 3.2 percent, below the national average of 3.7 percent. The disconnect between Maine’s aging population and its need for young workers to care for that population is expected to be mirrored in states throughout the country over the coming decade, demographic experts say. And that’s especially true in states with populations with fewer immigrants, who are disproportionately represented in many occupations serving the elderly, statistics show. “We have added an entire generation since we first put the safety net in place but with no plan whatsoever for how to support them,” said Ai-jen Poo, co- director of Caring Across Generations, which advocates for long-term care. “As the oldest state, Maine is the tip of the spear — but it foreshadows what is to come for the entire country.” Last year, Maine crossed a crucial aging milestone: A fifth of its population is older than 65, which meets the definition of “super-aged,” according to the World Bank. By 2026, Maine will be joined by more than 15 other states, according to Fitch Ratings, including Vermont and New Hampshire, Maine’s neighbors in the Northeast; Montana; Delaware; West Virginia; Wisconsin; and Pennsylvania. More than a dozen more will meet that criterion by 2030.

So, let's unpack that article, and this whole issue a little further: I find any number of inconsistencies and logical fallacies throughout. 1 - "OMG the sky is falling". If everybody was out of work, they'd be whining about that. 2 - Taking Maine as an example: they are one of the highest taxed states in the nation. They have made it their goal to become Cape Cod north and pursue nothing but a tourist economy. Well, that doesn't pay shit and it's no way to try and raise a family. 3 - At the same time they have spent huge sums on education. So you have a young, well educated demographic with no real economic opportunity. What makes you think they are going to stick around?

'This will be catastrophic’: Maine families face elder boom, worker shortage in preview of nation’s future https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/this-will-be-catastrophic-maine-families-face-elder-boom-worker-shortage-in-preview-of-nations-future/2019/08/14/7cecafc6-bec1-11e9-b873-63ace636af08_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_source=pocket-newtab DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — Janet Flaherty got an alarming call last October from the agency tasked with coordinating in-home care for her 82-year-old mother. It could no longer send her mom’s home caretaker. It knew of no other aides who could care for her mother, either. Flaherty’s mother, Caroline, has for two years qualified for in-home care paid for by the state’s Medicaid program. But the agency could not find someone to hire amid a severe shortage of workers that has crippled facilities for seniors across the state. With private help now bid up to $50 an hour, Janet and her two sisters have been forced to do what millions of families in a rapidly aging America have done: take up second, unpaid jobs caring full time for their mother.
