The Republican party ran a shit ton of candidates and they kicked him out of the debates, the same stuff they did to Ron Paul calling him a second tier candidate. Are you saying with Ted Cruz and Trump Rand could of done the Ron Paul caucus strategy and they wouldn't of changed the rules during the convention like they did with Ron Paul and not even counted his delegates?

Rand is popular with partisans of all stripes. 2016 was an outlier with a lot of people running, look at the general election polls with Rand for an indication of his popularity. I think the liberty base definitely was lost, he doesn't have the die-hard supporters that Ron had. He also hasn't been around as long, I was a Ron Paul fan for years before I knew who Rand was, I found out he was Ron's son after I watched his 13 hour filibuster. TV personalities used to say Ron Paul and then correct themselves and say Rand Paul when he first became a senator. He gets applause when he goes on shows that Ted Cruz gets booed on. He still has a ways to go before he earns the liberty base back- but that base was shut down systematically. They sicked troll farms on reddit and shut down the daily paul, they even sent the feds after Ron Paul's campaign and ran a side show rigged election in order to stop Rand Paul.

This is why we can't have nice things, when Rand needs defended the most his base remains silent or becomes useful idiots.

Think of it like the emperor with no clothes on, Rand could yell hey everybody that guy isn't wearing clothes, and then the emperor will tell the people yes I am, and some of the people in the crowd that are die hard loyal to the emperor will say of course you are, and a majority in the crowd will agree because of herd mentality. A small minority will say wait a minute these people are blind. Rand instead chooses to stay on the good graces of the angry mob, while advancing the ideas he wants to advance by using the angry mob as a vehicle, because in the end this is an information war. If enough people wake up and say that the emperor is naked then Rand has done his job, but that is a long term battle. People don't like to admit when they are wrong especially when its their heroes.

Rand is fighting the deep state, thats why his ribs got broke. Trump is just a neocon- Rand tries to make Trump be held accountable for running on a non-interventionist foreign policy the same way he tried to keep Obama accountable. Rand couldn't fire the deep state if he wanted to, he couldn't even of stopped the Pompeo nomination, his vote didn't even confirm Pompeo, it was a fail with Rand's vote until the deep state got someone else to change their vote.

Trump needs Rand's help because Rand understands Trump's vision for America better than he does.

I think its more if Romney lost and Rand didn't endorse him they would of blamed Rand for Obama winning even though his endorsement didn't help Romney win. I don't think anyone thought Romney was going to beat Obama, or that Ron was going to beat the Republican party by suing them, we already know what happens when that happens. They would say the same thing they said to Sanders when he alleged that the DNC colluded to nominate Hillary.

They would of just gotten a democrat to vote for Pompeo, now Rand still gets to promote the myth that he and Trump are buddies and he gets to sell the idea of ending the wars in the middle east to Trumps supporters. Rand has scored political capital with Trump supporters, and only lost political capital with people who don't understand his Trump strategy.

That when faced in a no win situation the only options are to retreat, advance, or wait. Rand is attempting to advance, he is not retreating from his position that we have been in the middle east too long, he is not waiting for Trump to change the narrative that he is for the wars in the middle east, he is advancing on the narrative that he wants to promote, that we have been in the middle east for too long, and the msm is talking about Rand's narrative in a news cycle that would be talking about bombing Syria more otherwise.

A fair price is whatever both parties are willing to pay, I disagree that markets can be owned, you can temporarily flood markets with capital but its like inflating a tire with a hole in it, unless you keep inflating it there is no real there there. That's the whole point of being against interventionism because you know that there is no interventionism that is moral because there is always a correction that occurs after the mal-investment gets liquidated. The people that get hurt though are never the Amazons, they would be the ones that would win from any government moral corrections.

Big business used to be a check against government power but when government puts power up for sale big business becomes the government. I thought that was what the whole libertarian movement was about, stopping the government from selling power to business by all means, even if that means taking power we gave government away. I always that there could be a balance between anarchy and libertarianism and that is a government that is locally elected so that it is more accountable to the people.

Its all big businesses fault that we have stagflation and people can't afford rising cost of living. Its not all the monetization of debt that increases prices, pay no attention to that, that lowers the cost of things.

Supposedly Trump had a lot of money loaned from foreign banks- this was something that got brought up outside of "election coverage". His computer was communicating with their computers throughout the election. I think that maybe the only thing I would conclude from this without seeing the data is that its possible Trumps computers were hacked to make it look like Trump was colluding with Russian oligarchs or the Russians were tapping his computers for information and maybe that was a term of the loan or just standard operating procedure. Either way the narrative is manufactured solely so that he has the political capital and viability to make a deal with the Russians. Its the only good part about Trump winning the elections. The myth is that its credible for Trump to make diplomacy not war with the Russians because they helped him get into power. The reason why its a bipartsian narrative is because if the deal doesn't work out they will blame it all on Trump and Russia collusion, its so they have a way of backing out of the deal.

This is the same argument that people would use against Ron Paul, oh he is a politician like the rest of them he doesn't have good intentions, he doesn't want to do good things. They always try to bring down heroes to say that they don't exist, that people won't do the right thing. People do the right thing all the time, it just doesn't get a lot of attention unless its something the people in power don't like. Now they want to make an example out of people like Snowden. The people that are in power, but how do you do that if Snowden is popular, won't that make him a martyr?

Yeah- maybe this isn't true, but maybe it is or isn't true and they want to make people fear them, the fun part of this article is in the context of the power of information. Imagine the government using weaponized information like this to silence whistle blowing or just overall political opposition?

You'll never get indictments with that attitude.. You should stop being such a condescending Wanka. You didn't repost the fake news on 10 websites and were being negative about Trump. Trump pays a lot of attention to his supporters and wants to make them happy so if you support him like the neocons do then he will support your political policies, don't you see how it works, he just wants to be idolized, he doesn't want power.
