That was added after the original posting. Which means that if true Barr needs to be fired and arrested immediately.

If that is true, then Barr needs to be fired immediately and charged with treason. Do you think that will happen?

Trump is using AG Barr to push gun control on Republicans. Here is a leaked document: https://dailycaller.com/2019/09/18/white-house-toomey-manchin-gop-gun-background-check/ And AG Barr was on the Hill today pushing it personally: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ag-william-barr-meets-with-senators-to-discuss-forthcoming-gun-legislation

There is actually a push out there to "make traffic worse" by the central planners and progressives. I have known this for a while but now it is blatant and out in the open. What is interesting is that this agenda to get people out of cars and on to government run transportation has been hush hush... until now. Here a major transit planner actually comes out and openly admits that is their agenda, that is their goal. This is the kind of crap they teach in urban planning and traffic engineering schools now.

The sad reality is that it will probably involve moving to a deep red state that has zero chance of ever going blue. And then you have to work like hell to get rock solid people elected to the state legislature and then continue to hold them accountable. They can act as a firewall between their citizens and the federal government. But they must have the will to do so.

I disagree. Rand didn't cultivate his base, and in the 2016 campaign he actively did things to run his base off. I saw this first hand. And no, Rand doesn't have to "break with Trump" his relation with Trump is a good thing, as long as he is willing to tell him no and vote against him (which seems unlikely at this point). Thomas is the best example to follow here, he supports Trump, but opposes him when he needs opposing, but is still able to keep his ideological street cred. It would have been nice if Justin followed his lead on this instead of falling on his sword.

No, she wouldn't have. Obama couldn't do anything on gun control because the right hated his guts like they hated her guts. The right likes Trump so they tend not to fight him as much. Psychology 101.... it's always your friends who hurt you more.

I've been saying for years that the reason why the LGBTQ+ community has risen to power in society is because of the myth of religious and moral neutrality and due to the endorsement of it through legislative measures by both federal and state governments. It's also occurred because the Church has a defeatist eschatology (study of latter times or last days/future), and that has caused a void to be filled by the LGBTQ+ community whereby they can enact their own "Puritanical" movement upon those who dissent and disagree with their sexual lifestyle/preferences. That's really the irony of it all.

Your plan of making everyone over the age of 18 a millionaire still keeps them poor, too, as Yang's plan does; thus, you're not ridding the world of poor people. So, since there are billions of people in the world living in households, then my plan will ensure that every household in the world receives $1 billion. We will tax all billionaires to fund my program, and I will appoint more members to the Federal Reserve Board to ensure we have efficient, reliable quantitative easing to help speed up the process. Vote for me! :check: :money: :handpeace:

What an absurd statement! Do you see what you've assumed there? You've assumed that the government owns 100% of the income in which they tax, and for the government to give a tax cut is for them to allow taxpayers to keep the rest of their money! Your viewpoint is simply in favor of slavery. So, no, tax cuts are not handouts because the income doesn't belong to the government, in the first place. If that's your position, then you seriously need to read some sound economic books, which you can find all over these forums.

This guy is my State Senator and he is a turd. Back in 2018 he tried a similar restriction amendment on Governor Rick Scott's gun control bill SB7026. He spoke at my local GOP meeting a few months back where he proclaimed loudly that he supported the 2nd Amendment. I walked right up to him and called him a "pathetic hypocrite" to his face. And no I did not shake his hand. The honest truth is that this guy's dementia is so far out there he doesn't know what world he is in.

Thanks Obama! No seriously.... this was Obama's plan. Taking Africans and Middle Easterners and putting them in the whitest cities he could find on purpose. Nevermind putting them somewhere like New York or LA or somewhere they might actually fit in.

Of course he wont beat Trump but he will hopefully give him some serious competition and pull him to the right If Sanford is mean towards Trump then he will not go very far. If he keeps it strictly to the policy matters he will go a lot farther. Sanford is great on fiscal conservatism; Trump is not.

If you have ever spent any time around a legislature then you would know exactly how far away we are from that even being discussed, much less possible. During Obama there was some talk about it, but nothing serious, unfortunately. Things like the Firearms Freedom Acts are a very small step in the right direction. The first step is to begin to nullify unconstitutional federal laws within the state boundaries. But that is like moving a mountain to accomplish.

I think the federal government is a complete lost cause. Even if we had a dozen Thomas Massie's in Congress we would only be able to slow down the tyranny, not actually reverse it. Whenever they can print their own money it is practically impossible to combat that kind of machine. There have been some successes on the federal level, mostly in terms of the 1st Amendment and the dubious 14th Amendment. But by and large, I agree, the federal government is not fixable. At some point it will collapse due to its own weight... although that could be decades maybe even a century or two. Who knows? But I do know for a fact that most state legislatures and many municipal governments are much easier controlled or steered on specific issues. We have indeed seen a large growth in firearms freedom over the last two decades for example.
